Customers recognize the excellent sound quality and comfortable fit of the Stereo Earphones. Many appreciate the secure fit, which prevents the earbuds from falling out. However, some customers have concerns about the durability of the cord and the bass response, with some reporting issues such as uneven cord length and a less-than-ideal bass quality.

Who Can Complain?

I honestly don't understand all the negativity for these in-ear headphones at all (on this site). There are some rules when buying audio products, and most notable of all, you get what you pay for. True, there are some brands out there that are extremely overpriced (BOSE for example), but this really is true for the most part.
That being said, I've already got a good pair of cans for my home theater, but this time I wanted something that was going to do well enough for my listening purposes at work (in a cubicle). I wanted good sound with decent bass (but not too much bass) in the $50-$60 range. Am I getting the best sonic experience for this price range? Of course not... but for a secondary set of 'phones for work, I wanted to find the best in its class. Spending $200 simply wasn't an option.
The Sennheisers deliver, and I couldn't be happier. They're comfortable, the sound is superb and much better than I would have credited buds in this price range to have, and their build is durable enough for my inactive usage (again, at work in a cubicle). The fact they come in a leather pouch case is great, as I can just toss them into my backpack on a daily basis when I'm done and not have to worry about the cords catching on something and pulling out of the buds. Great value for the money. Complainers need to remember one thing - You get what you pay for.

For the Price

These are great head phones for the price, but I was expecting more bass. I listen to a lot of Hip Hop and R&B and love bass. Overall the sound is good, but just lacks the bass i was expecting since it says bass driven sound. I had a pair of Beats by Dre and those sounded great, but in less then a year they broke. My search for great ear buds continues....

The best headphones within $60. Very clean sound with noticalbe differnce with highs mids and lows. One con i will say to the head phones if you have the bass up it does take away from the high tones, but the best bass as far as the sony and the skull candy headphones go. These are no high end Shure or Sennheisers. I would well recommend these over the bose earbud.

so far im in love with these headphones. i had perfect customer service from the mission valley location on selecting earbuds. i came in with no budget in mind, and they pointed me to these headphones even though i was originally looking at bose. i have never heard of this brand but im happy. i also got to test drive them before i left just in case i was unhappy.

Great sound, but broke after 1 month of light use

My story is simple – These headphones sounded great until they broke. This was the first Sennheiser product I’ve ever owned, and I’ve only heard good things about both the audio quality and build quality from the company. The strange thing is that before I wrote this review I read the other eleven ones already listed, and it turns out that the reviewer “xenith” had his break in exactly the same spot as mine!!! They broke right where the gold-plated plug begins to get wrapped in plastic/rubber. Mine broke after about 2 months of VERY delicate and infrequent use. “xenith” had their pair break after 2 weeks, so this definitely seems to be an issue with build quality and not user misuse. It’s a shame, I really liked them, but now will be returning.

I had a pair of Sony MDR-EX90s for the longest time and lost them. Womp wah.
So I went to Best Buy to make a "distressed purchase" of new headphones, laying out $60 for the Sennheiser CX 300-II pair, and I was NOT happy with the fit (one hear bud was larger than the other for the largest pair) and the sound quality (a little tinny).
So I spent more time to look for something similar to my beloved MDR-EX90s and came across the Sony MDR-EX300s. WOW. I paid 25% less for them than for the Sennheiser CX 300-II pair and they sound like an IMPROVEMENT over the Sony MDR-EX90 as well! I've never made a better purchase decision.
Thank goodness for the Best Buy return policy, because the Sennheisers will be going back.
