Serpico is an incredibly well made movie with amazing performances including Al Pacino in the starring role.

For the price, this is a perfectly reasonable presentation of the film, and it's nice to see the surround track provided as this is often missing from foreign releases. Grain resolves nicely and detail and colors are strong, though not as good as a newer master might provide. Just be aware that there is a new 4K master, with a physical release in Germany, so Paramount may put this out domestically in the future – just be aware.

Classic performance by Pacino that is not mentioned in most peoples list. Based on true events, a must watch!

The gritty realism of Lumet's crime saga comes to life in a clean, warm blu-ray transfer. Solid extras for a standard release.

Classic movie, slow at times but really good overall

Great movie - 70s classic with Pacino before he became a relentless ham.

Good movie. Al Pacino and Tony Roberts are great. Wonderful direction by Sidney Lumet.

Pacino did a fantastic job portraying Serpico, who selflessly struggled to reform and clean-up the NYPD. It shows how frustrating it must have been for Serpico to have so little support from his superiors on the force, and the toll it took on his personal life. A terrific expose of a dark, dark period in NYPD's history, and even more incredible given that the movie was made on a year or so after the events took place, when the force wasn't yet purged of the corruption.

Serpico is one of my Favorite Al Pacino Movies. In this Al Pacino Classic, He is a One Man Army fighting against Police Corruption. Along the way Al Pacino (Frank Serpico) finds allies, enemies and a trail of corruption.

Overall classic film by Sidney Lumet (12 Angry Men, Network, Dog Day Afternoon). If you love Al Pacino and are looking for a good 70's cop drama than this might do you in.
