I combined it with the ghostbed platform and its a nice setup. It inflated to the 7" right away after opening. It is firm. It is 7". As advertised. It works good for me. Im about 220 pounds, I do feel the base when im on my knees, but laying down you cant tell the mattress is only 7 inches thick.

It is just the right amount of firmness and softness. It has taken a bit to get used to the mattress since it's not the height I usually get. I bought a serta mattress from Best Buy a couple of years ago and I will never go back!
