Customers value the interactive nature of the game, citing enjoyable experiences playing with characters and spending significant time engaged with the gameplay. However, the Kinect sensor's performance is a significant concern, with users reporting issues related to movement recognition and tracking, especially with younger children or multiple players.

We got this for my daughter (4yrs) for Christmas and she loves it. She loves interacting with the characters. Read the instructions before using it. You WILL need to calibrate the sensor to see your kids (pg 2). I manually adjusted the kinect sensor to focus downwards. It is also a good idea to put a piece of tape down so your kids don’t get to close to the tv (pg 4). The only issue I have with it is sometimes when my daughter is trying to mimic a movement it doesn’t notice. It’s partially her fault because she won’t move her arms enough or moves to fast but sometimes she just simply doesn’t understand what to do like some of the dance moves. I move the furniture out of the way, put a little chair down for her to take breaks in between chapters, and she could play for hours.

We purchased this as a Christmas present for our 4 year old son. We have only played it once or twice but it has been a lot of fun. The problem is that the kinect sensor does not pick up small children well. We are trying to fix this issue so my son can play on his own. Other than the problems with the kinect I recommend this game for anyone with children 4-9 years of age - it is very easy & there is lots of movement.

Bought this game recently for our nearly two year old son (it was a great deal, figured get it now and save it for when he can use it). I of course had to take a crack at it before then. It's an adorable game for kids, I even enjoyed playing while my son watches- his face lights up to see the characters he knows playing with us. I wanted to leave a review because I see another person left a very bad review for this game, and the reason they left it is just not the case. Yes, there is DLC you can add for 5 dollars to add another set of games, but there is quite a bit more than just catching streamers. I can't trouble shoot what problem they were having but the game goes quite a bit further than that streamers game (which I believe is the 3rd or 4th game in only). Check out the reviews on metacritic.com- this game did very well for a children's game. It's easy enough for a toddler to follow along with but has enough story for a young child to be interested in.

I bought this game for my 2 year old daughter. She is tech savvy so this game is right up her alley. She is able to interact with the characters in this game and has a blast. I like that I can play with her. A very good game for kids and families.

We bought the game for my two daughters, ages 6 and 3. The love the characters and are generally able to play without much help. It is designed for kids and they seem to enjoy it.

from startup to a point where a child actually gets to interact takes forever!! The objectives through the storybook (the story) are not very clear. It shows what you have earned for different sections of the game. When you select some, thinking you can go work on those objectives, you end up watch credits or commentary.
There are a few fun activities inthoughout the game. Overall, there isn't enough going on to hold a 6 year old's interest. Also, some of the operations are difficult with the kinect. My daughter became frustrated often because she couldn't select the story like she needed too. Then the game is over for her at that point. My daughter is pretty good at stuff and patient. But, the game was a dissappointment for the money. It was dissappointing as a parent, watching your child struggle and not enjoy... a game!! She has had more fun and success with Kinect adventures, Sports, and Kinectimals, with Bears.....

This is a great kids game, that the parents won't mind playing along with - at least in small doses. The Kinect sensor can lose line of sight with the kids occasionally, but not as much as in other games, like Disneyland.

I bought this game on sale for $10. It's a good game at that price. I have a 2 1/2 year old and she loves sesame street. I thought she would love the game but she doesn't like it as much as I thought. She's pretty good with video games but a lot of the games don't interest her. They have some that she can copy what they do which she really likes, but the others that she has to lean she doesn't like because she doesn't lean, she wants to actually move, so the game doesn't recognize her movements. Overall, it's an ok game.

My 5 year old loves to play this game. He likes me to play with him, but he controls everything. Our two year old twins have not tried it yet, but love to sit and watch. My loves to do the chapters over again, so we haven't even made it through all of them yet. Would totally recommend for 3 to 7 or 8 year olds.

I am extremely disappointed in this game and am having a horrible time contacting the manufacturer for a refund. We bought this as a birthday present for my 3 year old son, and it was a waste of money. Even I cannot make many of the game functions work, and when we tried to go to the next "chapter", we had to pay an additional $5! I did not buy a $50 game (a bad one, at that) just to have to spend another $5 every time I want to do something besides catch streamers. The game does not have good recognition through the Kinect sensor, and my entire game "playing" time was spent trying to get the game to recognize my movements, which were not subtle. HORRIBLE.

Your kid has to get it just right... Or do your best to recalibrate kinect.

The first time he play, he didn't do it more than 10 minutes, but the next time I can take off him out of the game. He loves it and keep playing to find the box monsters.
I recommend it, when 2 kids are playing sometimes the kinect lose one of them, can be the only issue.

Our 2 1/2 year old is Sesame Street obsessed so we got her this game for Christmas. As expected it's a little hard for her to get the hang of what she has to do since she's so young, but she LOVES playing it!

I bought this game for my four year old daughter. The premise and animation is adorable, but the controls are very hard to use. My husband and I both have troubles with the controls as well and we have had our kinect for over a year. In fact, my daughter is able to control games like Dance Central and Kung Fu High Impact, but has difficulty operating this "child" game.

This is the best game for your little kid. my son simple loves this one, I wish that it would be more games like this for little ones, it works perfect with the kinect he loves to dance, jump and everything from this game, the graphics are great, if your kid is less than 8 this will be one of the best game that you can buy for them
