I was never a Will Smith fan until my girlfriend made me take her to see this movie. I've yet to see him duplicate or surpass this performance. Hats off to The Fresh Prince.

I found the movie intriguing regarding the journey Will Smith's character chose to take to make things right after the death of his loved one. I didn't know anything about this movie with the exception of its star so I found myself wanting to know more and more as the story went on. I felt it was a very good movie which started at the end. The movie grew with the character whom I had no clue was impersonating his brother until his brother arrived. The movie evolved with the character finding people he would save as "some form of redemption". The character looked for people to receive "replacement" parts via the IRS records. He got to know the future recipients and he felt they were worthy (unbeknownest to them) of an organ, he would deliver. Some he delivered prior to death and others after death. He also gave a house to a victim of domestic violence. Like most movies, there's a love interest which developed in his quest for redemption. He didn't plan it and it was hard for him knowing his plan. Ironically, his death was via suicide. Afterwards his attorney friend delivered letters to the remaining recipients of his organs. I still can't figure out why the title is Seven Pounds. It was a very good movie that included a little humor to lighten the air of the movie.

This is one of the better movies I have seen in a long time. A real down to earth story. Very little if any cussing at all. I missed it in the theater but bought the BR disc, and was not disappointed. The transfer to BR is excellent- Colors are true and the sound quality is superb. I don't care about bonus features but this disc had a few interesting ones- The presses and the jelly fish extras are interesting. Overall an excellent movie- One of Will Smiths most memorable performances. Everyone should see this at least once!

Seven Pounds is fantastic entry in Will Smiths long resume of great films. Think The Pursuit of Happyness with ten times more drama. This movie was fantastic. It may seem confusing, and I'm not gonna explain it to you because it does better as a movie you know nothing about. After wondering, you figure what hes done. The Plot was well-written and really makes you think about what you can do for others. Reviewers trashed it because it was grim and morose, but its Will Smith and its a drama. What did you expect? The ending will hit you and you won't be able to stop thinking about it for a long time.... As i said its touching and heartwrenching.

went to see this movie in the theaters and was not dissapointed . the critics didnt give this movie a great review but i would have to say watch it for yourself. if you like will smith you definitely wont be disapointed it just shows how great of a actor will smith is. and it shows how far a man will go to right a wrong. truly gripping
