This is a great classic movie. I really enjoy watching this as I haven't seen it for a while and the steelbook and price was just right.

The music is the reason for watching this movie. The script was written to showcase as many Beatles songs as possible. As a story, it is unremarkable at best. The 20+ songs are wonderfully presented and choreographed. The performers are a “who’s who” of 1978 popular culture including The Bee Gees, George Burns, Alice Cooper, Earth Wind and Fire, Steve Martin, and Aerosmith among others. Viewed from 45 years later, the music and performances are still wonderful. There are surprises, too. Alice Cooper without make-up looks really different. Also, this is the only time I feel Steve Martin’s singing and physical comedy really fits the choreography. (The song is “Maxwell’s Silver Hammer.”) I found the movie a real treat.

THIS IS A MUST HAVE FOR ALL BEE GEE FANS WHO LOVE THEIR MUSIC AND SGT PEPPER'S LONELY HEARTS CLUB BAND MOVIE. I LOVE WATCHING THIS MOVIE AND LISTENING TO ALL THE HITS AS WELL AS SEEING GEORGE BURNS, ALICE COOPER, AND OF COURSE ALL OF THE BEEGEE'S AGAIN. GREAT FOR YOUR COLLECTION.

Many classic singers, perfect for Beatles lovers!!

A movie based on a hit album doesn't really stand a chance, in my opinion, especially when no one in it has a speaking part. Who's idea was that?? In spite of that, I loved this movie. Saw it when it first came out with my little daughter and just ordered it again recently to relive the fun. Loved all the musical stars in it, particularly the Bee Gees. Peter Frampton was cute, too. Also, Billy Preston, Earth, Wind & Fire, etc. did an admirable turn. It wasn't everyone's cup of tea, but there are many who did enjoy it for what it was--fluffy fun entertainment with a lot of big name stars. Nothing to be ashamed of, although most who were in it later cringed if it was mentioned. (The Bee Gees, for instance, begged to be released from it while it was still being filmed.)

This movie has phenomenal music from The Beatle's album Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band and Abbey Road, most of the songs are performed by Peter Frampton and The Bee Gees but there are many other artists that also make cameos. I'm only 19 but I love love LOVE the music of this era. This is a great family film that can be enjoyed by all ages! Check it out. (p.s. Peter Frampton is sexy ;)
