If you liked the last one you will like this movie.

We love this movie, and it looks wonderful in 4K, however according to the description, this is supposed to include the 4K UHD blu-ray, the standard HD blu-ray, and the digital copy. All of the other 4K blu-rays I own all come will both discs and digital copy. This one only includes the 4K disc and digital copy. I feel like we paid way too much for what we received, because no standard 1080 blu-ray was included. Beware of that if you plan on purchasing this title.

OUTSTANDING. What made this movie work for me is that first, they changed its theme to an action comedy, the 2000 Shaft film was a bit too serious but this one has a lot of humor and often pokes fun at itself. Because of that it reminded me a lot of the Lethal Weapon franchise. Second is the contrast between the Ghetto born and raised Samuel L. Jackson Shaft to his Politically Correct Millennial son. Lots of opportunity for humor there and naturally they milked it down to the bone.

Samual L. Jackson...need I say more? Da man did an outstanding job of portraying John Shaft! The action was good, the villains were believable, and acting was excellent! Very representative of the old blaxploitation movies of the 70s starring Max Julian, Richard Roundtree, Billy Dee Williams, Pam Grier, and others. Highly recommended due to the mashup of 70s and current day lifestyles, humor, and portrayal of today's black youths.

Honestly, I expected to be disappointed, yet, took a chance on purchasing this film. I thought in no way could it be comparable to the Shaft I grew up on as a kid. I couldn’t be more wrong, however, and am now writing this recommendation just in case someone other than myself is on the fence about this purchase. A must buy at Best Buy. My only disappointment is that Best Buy did not offer this film title on SteelBook.

Besides owning the new Shaft movies, I also own the older original one with Richard Rountree. I do like the action and humor in the new ones, and the late 60's early 70's theme of the older one. All in all these are adult entertainment movies, not for the young under 13 years, due to the language, action, some nudity, and violence. It is, the new movie, not to bad and is good if you like Samual L. Jackson acting like I do.

My sister through marriage and I went to theater to see this movie. When we weren't singing, we were laughing, grabbed me right away. Even had moments for sadness and current storylines. I knew then, it was going to be part of my library! Thanks for the entertainment! We enjoyed it, gonna watch it again over pizza tonight! (just sayin) Vee is happy now!!!

I am a Samuel L. Jackson fan. After seeing Shaft at the Theatre, I knew I had to buy it. I looked all over for it in 4K, Since I just got a 4k tv and Blu-ray, and couldn't find it anywhere. Then we went to Best Buy and there it was. And then I saw that it was Exclusive to Best Buy. Completely made my day.

I have always loved the original Shaft movie starring Richard Roundtree! I enjoy watching Samuel L. Jackson. I had seen the previews to this movie so when the new Shaft movie came out I had to get it! I have really enjoyed the action in this movie but getting to see Richard Roundtree again was the deal maker.

Its sad that this movie didnt get such credit as it deserved it was a great follow up to the 2000 movie and it had a good amount of action and comedy it had a great story line to introduce shafts son and I love that they kept most of the same characters from the previous shaft film overall you like ACTION and samuel Jackson this movie is for you

You know that SHAFT, is a bad... Shut Your Mouth?!

OMG I laughed so hard when I rented this movie that I knew I had to buy it when it came out so that I could add this to my digital library. It had the original Shaft actor Richard Roundtree in it and if you like a good comedy get this and you will laugh so hard!

This movie is a great addition to the legend of John Shaft. I remember when the original movie was released. The current movie doesn’t have the impact as the first but I really enjoyed it and hope that there will be more story lines developed. The last scene with all three walking in the street is priceless.

Samuel jackson is a good actor and this is a good movie. How the story goes and how they come back together is somewhat truthful but the way of depiction of our military is true we as a nation need to better when it comes to our veterans.

A good follow up to the first shaft. It was a bold move to make it more comedy than action but it was a good sequel. I still have hopes that they'll make a third Shaft movie but do the box office performance highly doubt it

Sam J.Always gives an A1 performance. I like him in this role. He can never replace the iconic R.R. but for the new millennium he will suffice. Have yet to watch, but will be viewing this evening. Sure I won't be sorry

My husband loved the first Shaft movie, so I had to get him the second one. He preferred the first installment, but did enjoy this one as well. We both thought It was entertaining...funny with very good acting.

Shaft finally on 4k Blu-ray, if you liked the first one you are going to love this one. if you like comedy with a lot of action and Samuel Jackson this would be a good addition to your 4k movie collection.

Great cast. Seeing Richard Roundtree again as the Grandfather was a special treat. Just wish he appeared sooner in the movie and had a longer part. I definitely look forward to this becoming a franchise.

Excellent Shaft film. Hilarious pays homage to the source films but makes it appeal to millennials as well. Richard Rountree returns and rounds out an epic cast. This is a must own for any Shaft fan!!!
