Bobcat Goldthwait wrote, directed and starred in this somewhat campy, somewhat crazy comedy that spotlights the clown community... like you didn't know there was such a thing... haha. Another one of those movies that will never win a Oscar but if you enjoyed Bobcat's humor which at times is a little offbeat then you'll probably enjoy this movie. There are also a few familiar faces in this movie like Florence Henderson playing one of Shake's one night stands, Robin Williams and a young Adam Sandler

This movie was a highlight of my adolescence and what a great, obscure find to pick up on Blu Ray.

MIMES!!!! This is Bobcat at his best, and an early appearance of Adam Sandler. Nice cameo from Robin Williams. The villain is also the same guy who voices Spongebob.

I've seen bits and pieces here and there but I like the actors in it and I'm sure that I'll love it when I find the time to watch it all the way through...

So glad I ran into on the shelves! I don't remember it as a kid thoroughly but really loved it!

This was a time where every stand up comedian had a movie out. Would recommend to Bobcat Goldthwaite fans but not general audience

Classic dark comedy written and directed by Bobcat Goldthwait. Its hard to look away from this train wreck but it is funny.

It's an old movie but it is hilarious loved it when we first watched it glad we found it.great price also.

You know, back when dvd was starting to get popular in the late 1990's, there were a few films of such awful quality that I thought would never get released on the format. Boy, was I wrong, because here's one of them. It never ceases to amaze me that there are so many good movies out there which have yet to get proper dvd treatment, and here we have 'Shakes the Clown'... oh yeah, in widescreen too?! All you need to know about this movie is right there on the dvd cover. If that doesn't do it for ya, just read the film's synopsis.
