There are very few movies that deals with the human condition, but this one speaks for all the ones that missed the mark. I was totally mesmerized by the intensity and believability of Michael Fassbender's character. The torment he portrayed was beyond my comprehension of addiction. Cary Mulligen was the absolute best choice to portray his needy, lost sister. A MUST see...

Notoriety regarding Fassbender's much noted nudity (is it really THAT big a deal?? can't disguise the fact that this is just another walk on the Urban wild side with soulless office drones behaving badly...(I was stunned by how closely this echoed the even worse 2006 debacle "Deception" in tone). Some very good acting (though Fassbender overdoes his chilling drone a wee bit... All in all worth seeing...but do not expect anything shocking or original from the script.

definitely not something you want to watch with the kids. It's disturbing, painful, and so good you want to cry with him at the end. And it will alsways leave to wonder if he's gonna make it or not.

Michael Fassbender has never been better in this new classic from Steve McQueen. You hate him, but sort of want to root for him at the same time.

I wouldn't watch this movie with my parents but it shows his struggle and gives such an intense movie

WATCHED LAST NIGHT. THIS DUDE IS A S&X ADDICT ( AREN'T WE ALL). THEN HIS SISTER COMES TO LIVE WITH HIM AND TURNS HIS LIFE UP SIDE DOWN. PRETTY STUPID MOVIE . I RATHER WATCH A PLAYBOY VIDEO. RENT IF YOU HAVE TOO. DID NOT WATCH EXTRA'S IF THERE WAS ANY. STAY HEAVY.

A total waste of time. One of the most negative story lines I have even seen. No redeeming value in this story. I can't imagine anyone liking this movie.
