I love, love, love Shameless.. watching the Galagers is like watching my family destruct and yet survive daily, just to destruct all over again all while making you laugh and cry at the same time! Shamless is simply great must see TV and owning the first season series is just the start of my future collection, I plan to own all 4 seasons and can't wait for Season 5 to come out next!

Shameless is the one a lot of people overlooked but the one that's STILL excellent even in its fifth season, usually the death knell for many dramas. As the Dexters and Homelands of the world have fallen on "running too long syndrome," here you have a funny show, a clever show, and an exceptionally well acted show. At times it isn't the easiest watch, particularly Macy's character, but this one is WELL worth your attention. The Blu-Ray transfer is quite good as well.

While the show is itself comical and outrageous, I admire that the show centers around a family that isn't middle class. Quite the opposite, the show deals with the struggles of the low/poor class in very frank and honest portrayals. Highly recommend it to anyone over the age of 17 (fornication, drugs, and nudity are in FULL SWING in this show)

I've downloaded these previously and watched almost up to the current season but now that these are coming down in prices on bluray I wanted to support them by buying them. They are great quality on bluray and the audio is just as good. There are extras and little insights and such on the discs but I don't usually watch that stuff. This season has only 2 discs, about 6-8 episodes per disc. I don't mind the language or the seksual (apparently I cannot spell that word correctly or else I am flagged... *rolls eyes*) content or innuendos, but I am not a fan of them using the Lord's name in vein at all.

this is the greatest sitcom in my opinion.if you like married with children,then you will love this.william h macy really nails his character. the remaining family cast members also are excellent.hope the series can go 10 or more years.you will laugh your....ss off.if you have children you better make sure they are asleep or gone.definitely for adults only.

The Gallaghers are a poor family living on the Southside of Chicago trying to make ends meet. William H Macy is the patriarch, and Emmy Rossum is the oldest daughter(about 21 or 22), who actually runs the household. Macy's wife is gone, and Macy himself is a jobless alcoholic, though at one point we learn he is also a schizophrenic. Through all the madness of living on the bottom rung of society, the family sticks together with fierce loyalty and faithfulness. If you enjoyed "Weeds" or "Californication", then this series is for you. I would expect many more seasons, as there are a lot of places the writers and actors could take this show.

You will be very entertained watching the Gallagher family. It's about time there is finally a good show on tv that people can relate to. This show will keep you entertained and you will keep wanting to see what happens next. Great cast, great story lines, great acting. Just a wonderful show and I would recommend it to anyone.

In my opinion the best show on tv next to Game Of Thrones, this show is definitely not for the kiddies. It's definitely not politically correct, just an edgy show that delivers laughs every week. If you don't take it too seriously you will really enjoy what the show has to offer.

I bought this on a whim when I was going to have a week off from work. And I was entertained right away. It's a great show. It can be cringe worthy at times but the title of the show is "shameless" so it's so be expected.

I got started on the uk version of the series but the American version is very good as well. The first season mimics the uk version with only slight variations. After that they split to completely different story lines.

I have watched this series on Showtime as well as the original UK version on BBC. This is a very entertaining series but is adult orientated, language and nudity.

Extremely funny series. great characters. Definitely a underated show.

Huge fan of shameless & each episode & season gets better, funnier & not to mention shamelss. For great laughs & good times pick up season 3 will not disappoint

One of my favorite shows ever. Funny, dark drama. Great characters and development. You never know whats going to happen next.

I think the show is as good as the British version. I think the casting is very good and the story line can be under appreciated at times. I think if you watch this seasons you will want to go and buy the other seasons. It does deal with adult situations and I would not recommend it to anyone with children.

Great American takeoff of a British series. All characters work well together. Definitely worth the time to buy and watch. Might even become addicted

This is one of the best shows to come along in a while. The truly shameless things the Gallaghers and their neighbors do never cease to surprise me.

I watched the first few episodes on Shotime when I had cable, I really wanted to watch more, so when I found this on sale, I had to grab it.

Great price for the first season set. Enjoy taking my own time to enjoy the program. Great for when I get together with my friends.

Geat series. Extremely well written with twists and turns that keep you hooked from episode to episode. Can't stop binge watching.
