Shanghai is a thrilling character study based in the traditions of classic espionage adventures.The film based on a period of history that set the stage for WORLD WAR II intrigue. Interesting character studies are brought to life through excellent performances.

I have always been a history buff.
I like how this film leads up to the event that happened prior to the attack on Pearl Harbor [ RIP to my Fellow Sailors lost ].

I was pleasantly surprised I didn't expect the plot to be that good but there was so many twists and turns it really kept you intrigued

Waited to see this movie since 2010..it was worth it.the whole cast was outstanding.You really have to sit and find out who the crooks were and the friendlies were.2 months before the attack on pearl harbor, the Chinese the Japanese and americans. Intrigue is what makes this movie. somewhere down the line,everybody looks bad.but outstanding acting by jon cusick and goin li.this is a must see movie.shanghai was equal to paris
