This game is truly an underrated classic. I love the gameplay inspired by retro games like "Metroid" and "Castlevania"! The graphics, story, and soundtracks are all great too. The only gripe I have with this is that trying to save a game file takes time to get used to. It's hard to believe this gem came out in 2002. I wish more people got into "Shantae"!

Classic GBC game for a great price. Kids loved playing it.

Cute game, but it's aged a bit. The box is cute though and it's nice to have a physical copy of this game since the original Gameboy Color version is really expensive

The game is beautiful to behold and a great first attempt for a fantastic franchise. Having said that, this first entry is very flawed. You either have to move very slowly and boredom sets in, or you run right into enemies and take damage. Speaking of which, enemies have a nasty tendency to spawn right on your, often forcing you to take a hit. There are also way too many blind jumps for the game to truly be enjoyable. At least the Switch version is way cheaper than the GBA one!

Great little metroidvania platformer with colorful gameplay and occasional light hearted humor. Faithful to the original and niw includes savestate functionality.

If you watch video game YouTube content creators then you might of heard of the Spawncast Saturday night series which sometime includes MVG modern vintage game who made this game possible along with Limited Run games. The original game boy color cartridge goes for thousands of dollars.

Game screen is blown up on handheld but because it’s a very old game I don’t mind. Good game but wouldn’t call the best out there. It’s a standard game with a good case that comes colored inside for both risky revenge and this one. Don’t pay outrageous prices on eBay if you never get this.

While this title is extremely niche as it’s a replica of the original GBC version enhanced for new consoles some will find the gameplay a bit dated same with graphics. Others will find themselves right at home. If you love Shantae this is where it all started!

It’s good, not the best shantae, hasn’t aged the best. But it is a fun time and cool look back in the series

Great game glad this classic was remade. Easy curbside pick up at best buy! I highly recommend this game!
