Overall this is a very nice vacuum. Runs well and rolls over carpet or hardwoods with ease. Only issue I have had so far is with hair getting caught in the side of the roller. I would recommend cleaning the roller after each use.

I received this item from Best Buy to review. I was not too excited because we only have one room with a wall to wall carpet and a basement with indoor/outdoor carpet and the stairwell that leads down to the basement. I was pleasantly surprised about this vacuum and how much more it could do besides just carpets. I have always had a typical vacuum cleaner, with a canister and one hose attachment. This was the first one that I have ever owned that had attachments and could come apart to be used like a shop vac. Typically when we would do our spring cleaning or when I had to clean the stairwell, we had to use our smaller shop vac which is why it was not cleaned much. It was super easy to turn the standup vacuum in to a portable vacuum. I was surprised how light it was and easy to hold as I was cleaning the stairwell. Usually it is a workout and balancing act with trying to find a spot to rest the shop vac and clean the stairs at the same time. It was very easy to hold the Shark clean the stairs and I did not have to bend as much as I usually did when using a shop vac. Suction was good and I was able to clean the stairs a little bit faster with much less effort. We used the Shark to clean our couches which was easier and cleaned up the cat fur much faster than the shop vac. It was easy to hit the cobwebs in the ceiling and the nooks behind the couch and other furniture that we normally do not clean unless we complete move everything. We have a wood burning stove and lots of small wood bits and ash. The Shark easily cleaned it up and not dust pan was needed. We noticed that less of the small bits were spread around and it made it much easier to clean in the grout of the wood floor. Cleaning the floor is much easier now. What I really like is how well it cleaned the bare floor. I used it to get under the counter tops on the floor and it was much easier to wash the floor because we didn’t have as much debris on the floor. Same for the bathroom floor, it was much easier to just clean the tile instead of cleaning up debris and dirt. The Shark worked well on the indoor/outdoor carpet. Our basement floor is uneven and the concrete has started to crumble apart in areas which makes it difficult to vacuum up smaller lint stuck in the carpet. The Shark wasn’t perfect, but it was able to pick up more than our old vacuum. There are lots of pictures on the Shark to tell you how to use and adjust the vacuum which makes it handy as they are very easy to follow. What I love is that the Shark comes with washable filters. No more remembering to replace them or finding somewhere to buy them. If it is dirty now I can just clean the filters and use them again. The Shark does a nice job of not blowing the dust and dirt we vacuumed up. With our old one I could always see and smell/taste the dust and dirt, the Shark does a much better job keeping it in the vacuum. Removing the canister was easy and easy to put back. Emptying the canister was a little tricky and messy. I have yet to use a vacuum cleaner that has a canister that is 100% mess free. Again, the pictures were very helpful with emptying the canister very easy. The attachment caddie is very nice. For my 1800 sq ft house with regular height ceilings this is a great vacuum. I did use it to clean my car and it did a nice job, but the larger shop vac I used, worked better. I am guessing that if used the Shark more often it would be fine because I could keep on top of any small messes made in my car. It was a lot easier to use and move then the larger shop vac. I did enjoy that I could bring the Shark inside my car and I didn’t have to constantly wheel the vacuum around like a shop vac. For the price point and functionality, this is a great vacuum and it cleans a lot of surfaces and areas of your house.

This vacuum, while smaller (narrower) than standard vacuums, does a much better job than any we have owned previously. Bagless means an easier, cleaner experience all around. Highly recommended!

Replaced a Dyson with this vacuum and was not disappointed. Awesome modular sections that allow for better cleaning of different surfaces and hard to reach places. Lightweight too.

I highly recommend this vacuum. It works great on carpet and hardwood floor. The extra foam roller upfront really makes a big difference in how it cleans the floors. 5 stars all the way.

This vacuum has a lot of power. I really like that I can remove the spinning brush to get anything that is tangled easy out. It is pretty heavy. If you are looking for a lightweight vacuum this is not the one for you.

I'm enjoying my Shark for the versatility of getting into narrow places that a standard size vacuum head has trouble. Its easy to empty and cleaning the rollers is a breeze.

Set up is easy. Agree on/off button takes sometime to get used to placement. Does a great job in our home that is hardwood with lots of area rugs. Gets all the work done with one unit.

Vacuums carpet and tile well. Gets in small areas. Lift away is super handy for car, dryer cleaning, stairs and base boards. Dust bin easily empties from top or bottom.

The Shark is like driving a Ferrari. Very smooth and quiet. Great suction and overall performance. The only minor drawback is it has a somewhat small sweep radius.

My wife and I picked this vaccine up for our new house. So far it works very well and grabs all of the dirt. The lift away is very handy on the stairs. I would recommend.

Cleaned my rugs & carpet so well they looked brand new. I had to clean the filter sooner than stated in the instructions, but other than that, I'm very pleased thus far.

I had a miele canister that I thought was the best vacuum ever until I purchased this. I would give more stars if possible. I bought one for all my kids.

Really impressed with Shark after having paid much more for a high end made-in-US brand. Picks up dirt other brand left behinds. Easy to steer and empty dirt cup too.

This is a great vacuum as it cleans my floors with no issues. Transfer from carpet to tile with no issues and also the long wand for getting under stuff is awesome.

Shark is an excellent choice for vacuums because of their diverse accessories, reliable suction, and economic price point. I will always buy Shark!

I purchased this after my GE vacuum cleaner broke and was surprised. Suction power was great and it picked everything off the carpet and hardwood floors

It was good but not as good as the original shark rotator. Lots of hair and lint gets stuck in roller vs going into canister. I like the convience of taking off canister to vacuum under beds and couches.

Simple assembly instructions easy to follow. Great suction power; picked up material left behind by previous vacuum. Slight disappointment in small capacity of dirt container; requires frequent emptying.

Love the size and weight. Picks up surprisingly large particles and sealed dust bin is excellent. Easily breaks down to handheld unit for stairs.
