Awesome vacuum, works great on carpet, wood, and ceramic tile flooring. Was just what I was looking for.

I love being able to pick up small spills like cereal on carpet. Easy to use for more than just vacuum.

Finally, a vacuum cleaner that does NOT suck! And that's a good thing! This unit is light, well constructed, powerful and has a number of well thought-out features and accessories. The un-boxing experience is superb. Other vendors of all stripes need to follow Shark's example of how to create packaging. It starts the moment you open the box and find initial instructions printed in full color on the box flaps! The entire unit is nestled in protective packaging and the quick start guide and owners manual are the first things you see. The vacuum assembles quickly and the parts go together with a satisfying "click". Of course none of this would mean a thing if the machine did not perform well, but no worries there. We fired it up and ran it over our moderate pile living room carpet as an initial test. The unit rolls easily and is not obnoxiously loud. We also were very happy with how it performed on area rugs and our hardwood floors. Out torture test was to see how the Shark did with pet hair. We have a cat that sheds constantly and we often have to pick up her hair after we try to vacuum with our other two machines. The Shark killed this one! It has a dual brush assembly that offers a soft roller up front followed by a more standard brush roller behind. This thing picked up hair, lint, dirt, leaves - you name it. We were both shocked (and a little embarrassed?) after seeing how much dirt it picked up from a section of carpeting that we though was pretty clean! The canister is very easy to remove and empty and includes a HEPA filter too. Another bit of magic is that the vacuum can be easily separated so that you can reach tough areas with the attachments. A number of handy attachments were included and there are others available to order from Shark. In summary, if you are in the market for a vacuum do yourself a favor and look at the Shark! Highly recommended!

I finally found a vacuum cleaner that really SUCKED! I would buy this again and would recommend to everyone!

The Shark Powered Lift-Away Speed with DuoClean is not difficult to assemble, even though it has several parts and attachments. I used it in its upright position for general floor cleaning and used the lift-away position when I needed to clean high areas near the ceiling and upper windows. The power of the suction is really strong and leaves no dust, debris or lint behind. The wand detaches so that specialized attachments can be used to vacuum upholstery, shelves, blinds, and walls. I noticed that the bottom of the vacuum pod got hot within a few minutes, but it never shut off for overheating. It can vacuum hard floors or carpets just by choosing the setting on the handle. My Shark is brand new so there is no need for maintenance at this time, but the instructions for maintenance are simple to follow with step by step instructions. I look forward to keeping my home clean with the Shark Powered Lift-Away Speed with DuoClean vacuum.

Beats the Dyson hands down. Easy to use all the gratures she wanted and much lighter weight. She loves it!

The pop out roller is awesome! Easy to clean by lifting the top of the base. Overall excellent machine.

Smaller design, so doesn't take up much space for storing. Picks up dirt and cleans amazingly well.

We have 4 cats and a dog and have gone thru two other mid range vacuums in 4 years. We vacuum a lot. Settles on this one after reading other reviews and they are correct, this thing is amazing. It goes into toght apaces, the turning range is awesome, the lights on the front REALLY show me all the hair I’ve been missing. The extensions are great! I absolutely cannot recommend this enough.

So far I'm happy with it! I like how it easily it comes apart for cleaning my ceiling fans.

I will differently be getting another one. I love that you can use it on the stairs and the attachment are awesome.

Lasted two months amazing on hard floors really no need for a broom but the suction is much weaker than a Dyson. Brush stopped working due to rope getting caught in it. Would not start even after cleaned. Dont blame shark for that, but replaced with a Dyson who did a much better job on carpet. Do miss thar duo though. If you have the money get a Dyson but this not a bad cheaper option.
