This is a great vacuum. Smallish and light weight. Easy to use and clean. Wish there were more height options for the carpet/floor. Shark makes very good products for good prices.

This is the best vacuum by far that I we ever seen or had!

I have never spent a ton of money on a vacuum so this was a serious investment for me. I love that it was easy to put together and the fact that you can take apart to use on stairs, holding to clean fans, and just overall easy movement throughout the levels of your house. It is super easy to clean and just a great vacuum.

I am not one who enjoys vacuuming, but this vacuum: the Shark - DuoClean Powered Lift-Away Speed (NV801) Bagless Upright Vacuum is easy to use and is very powerful - in short, it sucks in a great way!

I got this vacuum because we have guinea pigs, and despite our best efforts, their hay would always end up in the carpet, and my old Oreck just wasn't picking it up. The first time I vacuumed with the Shark, I had to empty the bin 3 times. At first, I thought the bin might be too small. After a few more uses, however, it became obvious that the first time was just getting all the stuff the old vacuum had been missing all this time. Another great thing about the Shark is that it is modular. You can reconfigure it for whatever you need, upright, handheld, wand, all with multiple attachments for any vacuuming job. I am extremely pleased with my new vacuum cleaner.

I bought the Sharp Duo-Clean and just love it. It is lightweight and easy to handle and empty. Does a super job of cleaning carpet and hardwood floors and tile. Cant go wrong with this one.

Had a Dyson for about 15 years and took the plunge to switch and I am so happy that I did! Easier to push and turn and works better on different floor/carpet levels

Too light in weight. When using the wand, the entire base tips over. For safety, one must hold onto main unit to prevent tipping and movement, thereby restricting one to using one hand with wand. Brush attachment is poorly designed. Canister does not hold enough. One must empty too often,

Light weight, superb maneuvering, literally picks up the fine dust from my hard work floors, easy to clean! Best vacuum I've ever had and the price is amazing for such a great product!

It’s good. But I do feel it could clean the carpet better The roller constantly needs to be clean and if it doesn’t. It won’t clean good. It’s awesome on hardwood floors

I really like the Shark lift-away vacuum. It's very versatile with the different parts of the vacuum. It swizzles around furniture. The only thing negative is it has a smaller bucket to hold the dirt so you need to dump it out more.

The vacuum is awesome. It is very powerful, convenient, very universal. I love the lift off. I took the vacuum outside to vacuum the outdoor furniture. Glad I purchase this one.

I love my new Shark, it's light and easy to use. I also love that it cleans the tile floors, the the carpets. I have 3 cats and it does a great job picking up all the hair!!!!#

Vacuum works fantastic and it's very light. Being able to detach the main section for carrying is great for those hard to reach areas on steps. I would definitely recommend this vacuum to friends and family.

We have a yellow Labrador in the family as well as two cats. We didn't really notice any particular shedding problems until we replaced our living room carpet with a dark-colored one. Our old vacuum canister didn't fill up very often and we vacuumed once or twice a week. My wife began exhibiting some allergy symptoms, so I went out looking for a better vacuum with hepa filtration. A representative led us to this Shark Duo, which was on sale, and we now collect an entire canister of pet hair every single day. It's an amazing vacuum, and the quality of life around the house for my wife has increased greatly.

I am so glad that I got a new vacuum. I had to get used to the swivel, but very lite. I only wish the collection compartment was a little bigger.

I wish I bought this vacuum first! It is versatile and never loses suction. Would recommend this if you don't want to pay the high price of a Dyson

No one enjoys the vacuuming chore but the Shark Liftaway Duo Clean at least provides the power and versatility to get almost any cleaning job done in short order -- once you get past the learning curve. This thing takes the form of a bagless upright when fully assembled but breaks down in a number of ways to deal with various cleaning problems. Want to clean the stairs? The lift away feature allows you to detach the main motor/cannister and top of the handle to turn into a canister vac. Then attach a small air driven power head. Want to clean under the bed or (some) appliances? The long handle that attaches to the power head pops off and Shark provides a nifty long flat attachment to get to the places you could never reach before. It is figuring out how to take it apart and put it back together that takes a little time. There are no screws or fasteners of any kind involved in initial assembly. Everything just clicks together and then comes apart with the push of a release button. There are LOTs of release buttons so take time to read the instructions to figure out the assembly that works best for your particular job. In fully assembled upright mode, this Shark is much like every other upright, except the power head is quite small, maybe half as wide as some competitors. And quite flat. So it makes it easier to get under some things. But it takes more passes to complete a big room. It is something of a mixed blessing. Steering is a bit odd, with turns accomplished by twisting the grip back and forth in a swivel motion. Takes some getting used to but works well. . The motor is not as noisy than some uprights but is still quite powerful. And thanks to its unique two roller design, it does seem to pick up more dirt. The front roller is covered in a short felt like material and is designed to get very small particles. The second larger brush is more traditional and gets everything else. A fairly bright headlight shows the the way and big indicator light on the power head warns of any tangles or overheating (by turning from green to red). A nice touch. I also was pleased to see the adjustment for floor type (bare, low carpet, thick carpet) high up on the handle. It is much easier to change on the fly than the dial type power head control on other competitors. And in my house, with two cats, it seemed to do the job, picking up a lot more gunk after I had just cleaned with my old vacuum. You better hope you don't have too much dirt though since the canister that collects the dirt is quite small, 75 percent smaller than many other bagless uprights. And yes, if you have pet hair, you still have to reach inside the canister to pull out the balls of hair. They don't just fall out. No improvement there. You have to empty after each use for obvious reasons and clean the filters ever few months. One other big disappointment is there no auto cord rewind, something that should be standard on a vacuum this expensive. You got wind it up by hand every time. Ugh. Speaking of the power cord, it is thankfully VERY long. I can almost reach my entire house from a central outlet, which is convenient. It's mostly plastic so not sure about long term durability. But seems sturdy and well designed and far more versatile than most other vacuums. If you need the versatility this unit provides, the Shark Duo Clean Liftaway could be the ticket.

This is the 2nd Shark we've purchased. The older one didn't have that lift-away feature but still worked great. Our new Shark is smaller ... the actual cleaning head and the dirt container ... but has the lift-away feature plus the dual clean which picks up even the finest of dust on wood floors. I love the lighter weight and it actually goes farther under our furniture even if we don't use the lift-away feature. I've recommended Shark vacuums to family and friends and they have also loved their purchases. Awesome vacuum!

I am very happy with my choice in buying this vacuum. Its light weight, easy to use and can do everything i need it to. I have had it for about a month now and have had no issues.
