I have very thick and frizzy hair and blowdrying and styling my hair is not something I look forward to. I did some research and went with this product and its AMAZING! It not only shortens my blowdry time but makes my hair silky and smooth. I would have given it 5 stars but I noticed that my hair had a few breakaways.

According to the hair experts in my house, after a week of using the Shark - Glossi Ceramic Hot Tool, Hair Dryer, they have concluded that this is “the definitive hair companion” for the celebrations ahead. This is not common feedback for a product used by the two Latino women living in my house, both with super curly hair that needs to be absolutely flat for all family gatherings. Because of it, need to be highlighted. A few elements reinforce this strong opinion: 1. Weight: This is probably the lightest device of its kind that we have at home. This is important because transforming very curly hair into “ready for partying hair” can require some time of continuous and intense arm movement. Efficiency is a must. 2. Heat Delivery: The heat is delivered through the holes of the device without overheating the device itself. This makes the process safer, and the user does not burn their hands during use, which often happens with other similar devices in my home. It’s also important to mention that the name, in my view, is a bit misleading for the purchaser. The tool uses heat applied to the hair but does not become hot during use, making it safer for the user. 3. Versatility: There is a great combination of options to adapt to the task or user preferences. The tool can operate on three airflow levels and three heat levels (nine options) to meet all requirements. 4. Simplicity: The operations are simple, and the instructions in the box are very clear. Shark’s experience in mass electronics and home appliances is evident. Opening the box and being ready for direct use took only minutes. There are no apps or complex processes required, which benefit the user. 5. Limited Noise: As a ceramic tool that brings hot air to the hair, some noise is expected. However, the volume during operation is not at all comparable to a regular dryer. It’s about half as loud. 6. Multi-Functionality: It’s a true multi-tool that can handle both requirements. After only 20 minutes, my daughter’s super curly hair was smooth and flat. In just 10 minutes, my wife’s flat hair gained volume with minimal effort. 7. Usability: It can be used on both dry and wet hair, which expands its possibilities. With all these considerations, and because of its efficiency and the recognition from the two users, I see this as a great option for hair enthusiasts. Additionally, for a product that I expect will be used often in our house, the two-year guarantee and Shark’s experience as a manufacturer are great additions. I strongly recommend being ready for the holidays.

This is exactly what I was hoping for when I decided to replace my dying hair dryer with a 2-in-1 option. It successfully performs as an actual replacement for both my hair dryer and a multi-styler, working great for my medium-length hair. I like how it feels legitimately well-made. It's lightweight, but not cheaply assembled—the cord housing, the brush bristles, and the body (while definitely made of lightweight plastic) all seem built to last. There's a noticeable difference between the options for fan speeds and heat levels, allowing for some actual versatility. It dries quickly and lets me style when my hair is wet, and works just as well when dry. The only thing that isn't flawless is that the brush takes some getting used to. There is plenty of helpful instructional material available online and in the box, which is good - but the brush design itself and the orientation of the ceramic plates requires a little adjusting. Also, the main air intake is at the very bottom of the handle. This means you have to "choke up" when you hold it to avoid blocking the airflow. The unit is balanced well enough for this, so it isn't a huge physical issue, but the non-intuitive grip definitely took some learning. Overall, the GlosSi delivers on its promise. It's great for creating a smooth, glossy blowout look while creating some extra time and cabinet space that a separate dryer and ceramic iron would take up.

I have extremely curly natural hair. It is nearly impossible to get straight, or even slightly wavy for that matter. I thought I would give this a try to see if it could tame even the craziest of manes. Out of the box this seems like a very well made product. It is a little bit larger than I was expecting it to be. But its nod heavy or cumbersome to use in any way. After a day or two of using it, you will develop your own personal technique on what works best for you. In the box there is a card that shows you some instructions and things on how to use it properly. If you scan the code on there it 2will also take you online to show you a bunch of tutorial videos as well to make sure you know just how to use it. You can use this on either wet or dry hair. If you are looking to just dry your hair, this works great by drying your hair as you brush through it. Works much better than a traditional blower that just blows your hair all over the place. It allows you to have a lot more control over what you are doing. Not to mention using it in just drying mode dries your hair very quickly! You can also use it on dry or slightly damp hair to help straighten it. You use the same method to kind of brush it through your hair. You’ll want to put a little tension on your hair to pull it straight. I found that it worked very well at taming really curly hair. I also had my friend try it who has pretty wavy hair, and it made her hair almost completely straight. I think she will be buying one of these as well! Overall, it’s a great product with a great design and I would highly recommend it!

This multitool has been doing a pretty good job on my wife's hair since she started using it. It seems a bit large to hold, but in reality, the long handle was just the right length and is easy for my wife to hold. It's also not heavy - so she can twist and navigate the wand without any issues. There are different settings for heat, and the lower end was just fine for straightening my wife's hair, which is a hair type of 1b-2B. She's used the tool on both damp and semi-dry hair and the results were fantastic for both. What I noticed, especially compared to her basic drying method, is that the tool really brought out the body and volume in her hair. She's actually more impressed by how well it straightens - and even noticed her hair came out less frizzy than when she dries her hair naturally. I should also note that she has not used the tool while having any styling product in her hair. The wand simply takes her natural state and brings her hair to life. Some other observations: * The tool was most effective when using it on small "batches" of hair, otherwise it wasn't as effective. * Perhaps it's a question of practice, but she had to be more mindful that all of the hair she was working on was actually "in the plates". * The end cord rotates. This helps prevent it from getting tangled. All in all, this is a very good device that does a great job not just straightening hair, but also providing waves and volume - and it's not as unwieldy as it looks. My wife's hair looks great after she uses it!

Used it twice. During the 2nd use it just turned off and would not turn back on. Tried all of the trouble shooting advice we could find on the Shark web site and on You Tube. Let it cool overnight. It would not turn back on. Returned it for refund.
