So far, this robot is extremely thorough at cleaning every available inch of my condo, which has a somewhat irregular-shaped floor plan (I keep doors to the bedroom and bath closed) and multiple furniture obstacles to negotiate. The mapping is very accurate and I observe it following a very meticulous path each time. The first time that I noticed it going back for a recharge before completion of the 'mission', it had very little left to clean so I turned off that feature and it finishes without the need to recharge. I find that the noise level of the robot itself is negligible, but the self-emptying cycle is a bit loud, but it's scheduled to run at times when this is not an issue. It is far better than my previous Shark ION, which randomly bounced around like a pinball, but still managed to keep the floors clean. This one is more efficient and knows exactly where it is and where to go; no issues with it being unable to find the dock. I already had the Shark app and adding the robot was very easy. It is very thorough in vacuuming around dining tables and chairs. Being able to label areas/rooms and direct it to clean only specific ones is a great feature. I am quite satisfied with this upgrade.

After owning an iRobot for several years, I wasn't sure that I needed another vacuuming robot. However, after seeing an infomercial, I decided to give the Shark Matrix Self-Emptying Robot Vacuum a try. Needless to say, this has to be one of the VERY BEST PURCHASES I have ever made!! For starters, as the product name describes, this is a self-emptying robot vacuum, and it works great! Not only have I been impressed with the amount of dirt and debris collected, but the container is easy to remove and clean. Another impressive feature is the precision home mapping, which creates an unbelievably accurate map of the areas to be cleaned, which is follows consistently with each job. Even the cleaning pattern on area rugs is visible and quite impressive! Although the robot can be programmed to clean separate rooms, the open floor plan in my home is ideal. The robot also has an extended runtime battery, and it returns to the main charging dock when it runs low. But that's not all, it resumes by returning to the EXACT LOCATION where it was cleaning! Wow!! Finally, the robot is controlled with an easy to use app. It shows the map of the designated cleaning areas, as well as providing a complete report at the end of each job that shows the duration of the job and the square feet cleaned. The list could go on and on, but these are the main features that have impressed me the most. That's why I can HIGHLY RECOMMEND the Shark Matrix Self-Emptying Robot Vacuum to anyone looking for an excellent product that will do an excellent job!!

Where to start? the postives: it cleans well enough and the self emptying to the dust bin is really nice - although loud. It does map really well and it will show some of your furniture on the map. The negative’s: it constantly gives an error that thr brush roll is stuck when it is not, no matter what you do, it will give that error during every clean. It also misses spots (there’s no reason for it to not vacuum it). This is my second Shark and I don’t think I will purchase one again.

This robot has been in the family for a month now, and this has done exactly what I need. We have 3 dogs who shed and our yard has quite a bit of sand that gets tracked in daily. I have it set up to vacuum the main areas daily, and then will have it go in the bedrooms once clutter has been picked up. Pros: Very quiet as it moves through the house, The app is very user friendly - I love the reports it shows after cleans, it will show any space it couldn’t get to, The self emptying feature is EVERYTHING, he will stop mid clean if he gets full to go empty and then will go right back to resume, It is so easy to remove long hairs that get caught in the brush. Cons: Does not like shaggy rugs at all, gets caught up in the bathroom mats or thinks he is going to fall off a cliff if he manages to get on top.

I purchased the rumba several years ago and wasted my money. I ended up throwing in the trash. But i have petsand i have to vacuum everyday. It was so time consuming i was getting stressed out cause its not the only thing i need to get done after work. I decided I would give this a try based on reviews. It is quick and easy set up but you do need to use the app. So if you dont have a smartphone maybe not the route to go. I have it on a schedule so it gets vacuumed everyday. So far i love this as much as my coffee maker and Beer! Its 5 stars for me.

The shark matrix is very reliable. I love it so much. I use this thing every single day. It mapped the house out within the first couple runs. I’ve read previous reviews that the shark app is hard to navigate but the app works flawlessly for me. I recommend regularly cleaning the reservoirs. I’ve even accidentally run the shark without noticing dog poop on the ground, and the shark was easy to take apart, clean & put back together. Great purchase.

We absolutely love our new Shark Matrix robot vacuum. He is very smart & is learning to navigate our house very well. He does really well on the hard wood & tile surfaces. He struggles a bit on the rugs, so we just pick them up for him. He’s officially party of the family, complete with the name of Steve McClean. My husband’s name is Steve & he doesn’t like to clean, so we both agreed the name is perfect!

I liked the ease of setup and I love being able to control and name the vacuum using the app. I named mine Roombert and he has become an important member of our household. He’s been an huge help in cutting down on the amount of pet hair in the house! I also appreciate that I can use the vacuum on a separate floor of the house as well, but it seems like I can’t save two different floor maps. Unfortunately, the navigation isn’t quite the best and I frequently find him running into things and getting confused trying to get out. Also, he eats cat toys and they get stuck so I have to pull them out.

Love this thing. Have two dogs that shed like crazy and it takes care of it all. I have to empty the bin twice a week but that’s better than manually vacuuming 1500sqft. Honestly am amazed at the sheer volume of dirt and fur that this little guy can pick up in a single run. Mapping works great and I can control the device from my phone or google home.

When we first got our Shark Matrix, I was impressed. It mapped our first floor like a pro, cleaned every room I asked, and even recharged itself mid-mission like a disciplined little soldier. Fast-forward a few months, and things have gotten… interesting. Some days it still performs flawlessly — hitting the Living Room, Dining Room, Kitchen, Breakfast Area, and Foyer like clockwork. But every so often, it decides to ignore my instructions and go exploring. I’ll set it to clean five rooms, and it’ll say, “Got it, boss,” before wandering off in a completely different direction — like it’s on a side quest to find itself. Then the next day? Back to normal, as if nothing happened. It’s still a solid cleaner when it’s sober, but every few days it goes a little rogue and needs a gentle reminder of what its job actually is. Would I buy it again? Probably not — but if I did, I’d keep an eye on it. Literally. Because apparently it likes to freelance.

One of the best purchases ive ever made!! We used to struggle to keep our floor from collecting dust and dog hair with 4 pets we needed the help!! This vaccum works amazing !! As long as you remove anything that might get caught it works perfect! We usually send it out to clean in the morning and at night now we hardly have any hair or dust on our floor!

This robot vacuum is really powerful and keeps our floors free of dog hair. We have a 9 year old lab that REALLY sheds and the robot picks up all that hair every night. I have had 2 others and this one works so well!!

Machine is awesome, but app is just to basic does not give you enough info on cleaning etc. Looks very amateur, almost like a 9yr created the app

Maps super accurately and cleans very well. Picks up so much, the little bin says it all. Also so easy to clean once a month

Hazel McClean was a great purchase. I love the option of a standard clean or a deep matrix clean. Easy to use app that allows for customized setup and specific area cleaning. Also, love the cleaning report that lets me see the exact area that Hazel cleaned.

Purchased from Best buy and was unable to set it for a couple of weeks as I tried troubleshooting in between when my family and I came down with colds. By the time we all recovered, 2 weeks went by and after troubleshooting for 2-3 weeks, BB told me it was too late to return it. Then I had to call Shark directly and they troubleshot the problem with me and sent a replacement part for free. I immediately changed out the parts and it worked out just fine.

Love this robot vacuum!! It’s quiet, efficient, and does a great job vacuuming up dirt and Westie hair! I have an earlier model of a shark Robot and I like this one so much more! My older one is much noisier and I don’t think it picks up as much.

Harry is our Robot vac and he is like a family member! Saves me time from constant vacuuming of my shedding Golden Retriever and Aussies hair. Just push clean and he goes for about 45 mins. Love him!

I am pleasantly surprised. I run this vacuum once a day seven days a week. I have had to vacuum with my traditional vacuum once since purchased. I clean the main hub and filters daily, empty the container daily and clean the dust out. I clean the vacuum between uses, very easy maintenance but with 4 dogs i expected it.
