I'm waiting for this vacuum to give out so I could purchase the latest model. This one however is good, it's just for us, we are always turning it upside down to remove hair on the roller. The new one is supposed to take care of that. - But it does what it's supposed to do, clean our carpets.

It's a vacuum. It sucks. Works on bare floors and adjusts itself to varying carpet pile heights. Has picked up a lot of stuff that my previous vacuum didn't. Tools work well. Build quality is meh. Lots of plastic (like every other vacuum). Fit and finish is OK. I'm a little worried about some of the smaller plastic bits (latches and such) breaking. Shark's website is terrible. Couldn't even find this model on their site with a search.

It does its job but it gave out in about a year. I opened it and tried to clean the brush out but the brush would no longer spin. Worked okay but I would say there is better vaccines out there for the same price.

Unpacking and assembling this thing took only about 5 minutes but I almost had to get the magnifying glass out to see what was being detailed in the assembly and use guide. Like the usual Shark products, this vacuum seemed made of good quality materials and was engineered to get as much as possible contained in a small space. It has a 3-position power switch (off--on with suction--and on with suction and floor nozzle rolling bristles.) When you click the unit into the standing position, it automatically shuts off the powered floor nozzle. One touch of the foot in the right spot on the nozzle and it lets the unit tilt back and the powered bristles back on. There is an indicator light so you can easily know when the floor bristles are being driven. There is no height adjustment, just instructions not to use the powered bristles on the bare floor. I don't have a shag carpet here to try that lack of height adjustment factor but it makes me wonder. The whole unit only weighs about 15 lbs so it is not a lot of work to move across carpets. The suction is very powerful. It picked up sand that was in carpet that had just been cleaned with a decent mid-level Bissell machine. One point to make is that the floor cleaning width on the Navigator is not as wide as the average non-swivel competition in this price range. So large rectangular open areas of floor may take slightly longer to cover. The swivel function comes in very handy when working around tables, chairs and other furniture. The narrower floor nozzle comes in handy here as it fits in smaller spaces more easily. So for an average setting, the agility factor makes up for slightly less width. The pet hair/upholstery attachment has two "scrapers" on either side of a power driven rotary brush, like a mini version of the powered floor nozzle. It immediately restores the nap to furniture upholstery. No pets here to test for hair removal but the attachment looks designed to work just fine. Solid construction, lightweight, no complicated settings or adjustments, and a powerful cylconic motor with powerful suction, with three levels of filtration. The filters and cyclonic chamber are designed to be cleaned at 3 and 12 month intervals. It has a 5-year warranty, so it seems Shark is willing to stick their necks much further than others in this price range. Most Bissells have a 1-year warranty. While only slightly higher priced, the Navigator seems like the better deal.

So happy with this vacuum cleaner! It seems to be doing the job nicely. We haven't had much success in choosing a good one, that handle my cats shedding! So far, so good!

I'm writing this review over two years after we originally bought it still runs great still works great does a great job so I guess I'm giving it a great review

I have hardwood floors throughout my home and tile in the bathroom with a throw rug in the living room and this vacuum works on all of them.

This vacuum is able to fit in tight areas and is able to twist/turn at angles to get effective results without having to use the hose every time.

This Vacuum is a must have: 1: Setting it up was a breeze! 2: The swivel or turnability around furniture is awesome. 3. The hose was longer than my previous makes cleaning vents a lot easier! 4. Great Suction, seems like I empty the canister more than my previous vacuum (which worries me that it wasn't doing its job). 5. Doesn't miss a beat going from carpet to hardwood (tile) Nothing too horribly wrong with this vacuum to write about!

Works great but is kind of tough to push/pull as it has no way to adjust the height of the beater up or down for different carpet piles.

Nothing too special about this vacuum. It's powerful, but bulky. No complaints on function though.

We have used this for several months now. It meets our needs. It was a good investment. I would get another Shark based on this experience

Was buying Wal Mart Vacuums that last 1 year Finally bought a shark Navigator, it’s a little heavy But I’m very happy with it

Very good vacuum cleaner for a basic cleaning. I will not purchase this vacuum if you want a deep clean. But over all very good.

This is the 3rd vacuum I've bought in 2 years. So far it works great and shows no sign of clogging. I love to vacuum and do it everyday!
