This Shark corded vacuum is amazing. It’s lightweight, easy to maneuver and has great suction. Easy to dump and clean after each use and takes up very little space. I’ve been very impressed since purchasing a couple of years ago.

This thing rocks. It's light, sucks and is reliable and easy to use. Easily my favorite vacuum I've ever used for light duty cleaning.

I purchased this vacuum in July and it works very well. I like how lightweight and easy it is to maneuver. It has powerful suction on both hardwood and carpet, which is part of why I wanted a corded model. I also love the different use options, it's so easy to grab the handle/top portion and vacuum up a small mess. You have to store it with the top part hooked on the base, so it takes a small amount of assembly every time I use it and if you're vacuuming and stop for a minute to move something, you have to lay it down, it doesn't stand up on it's own since it's top heavy.

I previously had a high end cordless vac but upon using this vac for the first time I was very impressed. I could not believe how much dust was left behind by the old vac and I have a dog that sheds a lot. I also liked how long the cord was, plug it in once for my whole downstairs. Only one comment is that the design of the small brush (for sofa) is that the head does not move so you have to hold it horizontal. Did not like to replace the battery on the cordless ever 3yrs so I opted for corded this time. Love it.

I've never liked vacuuming and decided to get this as a boost of serotonin while using an older vacuum. This thing really took me by surprise though! I used it on top of carpet I'd already used my old vacuum on and you'd have no idea I'd just "cleaned", the Shark picked up so much more! It leaves my carpet fluffy and beautiful. Also great to use in the car. Now I look for any reason to use the Shark and clean much more regularly.

It's getting overheated quickly after we cleaned the carpet for 10 minutes and bothered us when trying to clean things at home. pros: light weight, easy to use.

Needed to replace my older heavier vacuum cleaner after the belt finally broke. I have some back issues and needed a lighter weight vacuum cleaner, so I did some research and comparison. Decided to go with the Shark Vertex lightweight corded. Very easy to assemble, including accessories. Love the self propell, width makes it easier to get in between smaller places like tables and chairs. Switching from carpet to floors is a touch of a button, makes it easier to do the entire house and my outdoor patio. Only downside is it could use a kickstand, or wall holder and retractable cord. Powerful.
I like the shark vacuum because it’s very flexible to carry around. One the coolest things I love about the shark vacuum is that I could use it underneath my bed without having to move it to the side. The attachments it includes are great especially the hair pet remover really liable to use. As far as maintenance it is very easy to use. Too bad my last one I had broke on me. I had warranty for the 5 yr service but, Best Buy did not have any available. So, I had to go to a different shark vac which is ok but not the same as the smaller version. I really recommend this to other people who like to keep their house dust free or people who generally do this for house keeping. Thank you guys for giving me the opportunity to give out my opinion about the product.

Bought my Shark-Vertex UltraLight DuoClean Corded Stick Vacuum in the afternoon and when I got home I immediately used it. It was very easy to assemble and simple to use. I liked vacuuming underneath furniture because although it is sleek, it is powerful enough to suck in beneath and behind refrigerators, cabinets and plain great for flooring. I also was impressed with the hand held vacuum feature. Lightweight yet powerful at the same time, my carpeted stairs were a breeze to clean. I can’t rave enough about this vacuum; it’s lightweight, it doesn’t have that loud high-pitched sound that gives me a headache, and is easy to empty out the container. I highly recommend this vacuum if you have hardwood or laminate flooring.

Tons of power and the Dyson is going bye bye. I bought this because I have had to replace batteries on my Dyson two different times. It’s no longer worth it to me to pay $100 every year for new batteries so far this shark has had exceptional power even though it’s corded.

Bought this for my wife for Christmas. She really likes it. Lightweight, great power and easy to use. If any negatives it would be that it won't stand up when in use and the handle is attached.

I love that hair doesn't get wound around the roller. It's a great light weight (both physically as well as workload wise) machine. I do have to use 2 hands to control it but that might be due to me. I love how it stores upright (you place the storage handle on the hook at the bottom of the machine. I think some people miss this.) It's easy to empty and the cord is long enough. It easily goes from carpet to floor. I'm very happy with it. I paid a little more for the hair not getting caught but it was worth it. Do yourself the favor. I'm sure others do a better job on carpet, but I have a one bedroom (small) condo with only two room sized rugs so it's not an issue.

This is our 2nd dual clean shark stick vacuum the suction is wonderful. It doesn't pivot as well as the old one but you can stand it up against any wall which is a nice feature. Very powerful and it cleans the floors better than the old one which did a great job.

It very nice. Powerful, easy to use, very long cord. My only complaint would be that it won't stand by itself. It has to be leaned against something.

People need to get over the cordless vacuum craze. I'll never go back to a cordless. This lightweight corded vacuum has so much more power and, even with a cord, is very very easy to use and manipulate
Vacuum is light and easy to use. I wish that it stored without needing to be disassembled and that the dust catcher was a bit bigger. Also, unit pulls forward so be careful if you're changing from a heavier unit.

WOW! This little guy packs in a good one. I had purchased the new Cordless Dyson and it went back for being too heavy and not enough suction, Purchased the new Cordless LG beautiful machine but noisy and also not enough suction. Both of those were very expensive but I'm used to spending on my vacs so that did not bother me, if they work for me. So after returning these 2 I decided to try the corded Vertex from Shark, Amazing suction and the weight is just right. I thought the container would not be large enough for me I have a big house and 4 dogs but it's perfect!

Excellent suction, easy to maneuver around the floors or carpets. The dust bag is amazingly easy to empty. After struggling for several years with a Bissel upright vacuum and another Bissel hand-held vacuum whose dust bags were impossibly hard to empty, I was overjoyed at the ease of cleaning out the Shark dust cup. Some reviewers complained that this Shark's dust cup is a bit small, but the ease of emptying it makes up for that. And the cord on this vacuum cleaner is sturdy and very long. I would recommend this vacuum cleaner to anyone.

Nice sweeper strong suction pivots well around objects and under objects power cord is very long transform from floor sweeper to hand held. Only bad thing is our house is 1400 sqft and we have to empty the tray often, we do have a German shepherd so if you have dogs or cats and equal or larger home then you may need a larger containment container unless you don’t mode emptying the canister about 2 or more times.
