This is truly a campy fun film directed by Jim Wynorski (director of Return of Swamp Thing and Piranhaconda etc) This film follows a group a women who escape from prison and meet up with the beautiful Dominique Swain to chill out in a house located deep in the swamp. Little do they know that a number of sharks have arrived to wreak havoc in the water, and on land with them on the menu. There are some scenes that are just upsurd but entertaining as sharks attack guys in an SUV while driving through water as well as the sharks making their way on land to attack anything that moves, similar to Tremors. Traci Lords plays one of the detectives who is tracking down the group of escapees in the swamp. Cheesy acting, lots of hot girls, CGI shark attacks with lots of blood. If you are a shark fanatic this is for you. Scream Factory continues to be the leader of Blu-Ray releases both past and present in the horror, sci-fi, action, and adventure categories!!

Jim Wynorski has made some really fun films (The Lost Empire, Chopping Mall, Dinosaur Island, Dinocroc vs Supergator, Piranhaconda, etc.) but Sharkansas Women's Prison Massacre lacked the goofy energy and trashy playfulness he's often brought to the screen. The technical quality of the Blu-ray was strong, though.

Nothing too complex or Oscar-worthy here. You get what you expect-a Sy-Fy channel-esque movie. Worth a watch if you want a good laugh from cheesey special effects and bland acting.

You'd think this movie movie would have a lot of knock ers. It doesn't but it's still good

Check your brain at the door and come on in, friends; get ready for a fun little outing with everyone's favorites : Traci Lords (small screen time, but seen throughout the picture) and sharks that are very agile on land! How can ya miss? Several lovely jailbirds escape their guards and set off for freedom, UNTIL, you guessed it, LANDSHARKS ATTACK! Yeppers, a moist and meaty lil' number here with some good acting (really!) and FX (really again!) Being a B (and lower) movie fan, this is custom made for me, if you're of the same mind set, you'll love this flick. If you're anxiously awaiting the next Sharknado, here's one to hold you over...............great fun, get on board!

This movie was fun to watch for a low production horror flick!

i love this B movies. they are corny but enjoyable

Pretty bad acting. Some very nice looking ladies. No nudity in it which was a surprise given the cast. Just not a very good movie at all.

I really wanted to like this movie but it was done too predictably and the acting left much to be desired. Pass on this one.

This movies has Two Pornstars in it. If your looking for some T/A look some where else. You aint going to see any.

I like shark movies I have watched it twice I will watch it again

Sharks eating beautful girls you cant go wrong. Go for broke.

Once you get past the plot of the movie it was ok.

If enjoy bad actoring ,CGI shark, and story this movie for you!

This is not a very good movie, and I really can't recommend it.

These movies in the Sharknado have been fun and different. Here they pack age the idea of a womans prison exploitation and then have no development of it whatsoever. No sharks, no gore, no girls. Boring. Much more than a waste of money, its a waste of time to watch this drivel.

Move over Sharnado, this is a horribly great movie that is camp at it’s best. Grab an adult beverage and experience this with friends.

I was hoping for a lot more from this movie. I was hoping for a cheap, cheesy movie that I could enjoy but this movie was really more stupid than anything. Would not recommend to anyone.
