I have a lot of external batteries from various brands. This one is now my go to for travelling. What I liked: All in one package for charging. It allows pass through charging (so when hooked up to wall, will still charge devices before charging itself up). When on the go, can charge my devices (tested on iPad Air 1st Gen and iPhone 6). Good capacity (5000 mAh) - so can give my phone and iPad a top up (or my phone and my friend's phones, which is usually the case), and will charge them simultaneously b/c dual ports. Retractable prongs. So becomes a nice sleek package! Also, rubberized coating is quite nice. I prefer that feel. The power indicator is also subtle and nice. Other chargers are terribly bright, so hard to sleep in same room. This is very subtle and works great. Cons: Weight/size ratio. Please see photos for comparisons. - The Sharkk charger - Its a bit over 6 oz. It's less than my previous travel charger (New Trent TravelPak+, which weighed over 7oz but had a 7000 mAh capacity, and similar features). However, its taller than the TravelPak+, but slightly less wide. Overall, has about the same volume. But because its taller/slimmer, it feels like less volume. Biggest gripe wit the TravelPak+ however is the huge charging/power indicator. Massive white light, which is terrible in a hotel room while sleeping (so the Sharkk is much MUCH better). When compared to my daily work/commute charger (Aukey N30 3600 mAh), the Sharkk is a significant amount bigger/heavier. The Aukey weighs 3 oz, but does not have built-in charging or dual USB. If I added a dual-port USB charger and the Aukey, weight comes to approx 5oz and overall less volume. So this is almost as equivalent (and so I pictured it this way). Power indicator light on the Aukey is similar to the Sharkk, both are subtle and not too bright, while being informative. - The "shake-weight" power on - not a huge fan. Would prefer a button honestly. I would be worried that tossing it in my bag, and bouncing around in the bag, would turn on the charging function and possibly drain the battery (unlikely due the smart IC circuits) but makes me a bit wary nonetheless Overall, I'm quite happy with it and again, it has supplanted the New Trent charger since it feels like less volume and it slightly less weight (at the expense of slightly less mAh, however still with the ability to charge my devices appropriately while on the go) fyi - I was provided with a free copy of this item for testing and my fair and honest evaluation

I was looking for a portable charger for traveling with my Samsung phone. The description on your website CLEARLY said the charger came with a Usb cable. I ordered it with this in mind. It arrived at my home, with no Usb cable. I called customer service and was told to return it to the store and they would mail me a new one. I did do the return and did receive a new charger. Again, no cable included! Returned the second one and gave up on this product.

This was a waste of money. It didn't even work once plugged in.

I don’t care much about fancy cars, furniture or clothing, but I am a true geek when it comes to electronic devices; particularly portables. Since I travel for work, I am constantly fighting the “battle of the battery”. Thanks to the SHARKK dual USB-Port, 5000mAh Charger & Power Bank, the war is over. When plugged in to a wall outlet, the SHARKK can charge up to two USB compatible devices and the internal power bank simultaneously. I just plug it in and connect my devices in the evening. In the morning my devices have full charges. When they run down I just plug them back into the portable power bank for hours of extra use. No outlets needed. It is great for using the pad or phone while flying, or the Bluetooth speaker at an outdoor party. Upon receipt I was immediately impressed with the high quality packaging. It comes in a “smartphone-style” box that provides maximum protection with a luxurious feel. Upon opening the box, I did have to search for a second before I found the simple, well written instruction manual under the insert. The device itself is relatively small measuring about 4 x 1½ x 2 inches. It fits great in a computer bag, purse or even your pocket. It has the solid, substantial feel typical of high end electronics. The black matte rubberized finish is stylish and easy to grip and hold; fitting nicely in the palm of your hand. The only external features are a foldable plug, two solid USB ports and a tiny LED indicator. Operation is simplicity realized. To charge the power bank, plug it into the wall. I found it would fully charge in just a couple of hours. To activate the power bank or check the charge, simply give the device a shake. Another shake will shut it down, saving the charge. The three-color LED shows the level of power left. “Smart IC” technology automatically optimizes output power depending on your device specs. This feature speeds charging time considerably. My smartphone charged in about half the normal time. I tested the power bank with my SHARKK 10W Bluetooth Portable Boom Box (purchased after much research; my first encounter with SHARRK’S product line.) We spend a lot of time outdoors and boating, so I have grown to love using this “best-buy” speaker with my phone. I ran the speaker’s charge to zero, (it takes a looooong time; more than the 18 hour rating,) and then I connected it to the fully charged power bank. I am still listening. I have been treated to over 5 extra hours of my favorite music already. With my speaker and phone fully charged, and the power bank for when the charges run out, I can party all night long. The SHARKK dual USB-Port, 5000mAh Charger & Power Bank is a must have. It has simplified my life, allowing me to keep my devices operating longer than ever before. It is great for travel, outdoors or just to use around the house. I was provided a free copy of this item for testing and my honest and fair evaluation. I was impressed enough to purchase a second for my wife, and I will be buying more for Christmas gifts, (everyone who has seen it wants one.) Honestly, this 5-star product is a bargain.

I have a Galaxy S6 Edge and the battery life is absolutely terrible. After receiving this product i realized it was exactly what i needed. Not only does it act as a wall adapter, but also as a portable charger. While charging your device from the wall outlet, this product charges itself and your device simultaneously. Its also a smart charger meaning that when both the product and your device are fully charged, the product will stop charging as not to overcharge your device. This product has actually increased my battery life significantly. On multiple occasions, my phone will be charging and i will have to leave. I can just grab my phone with the product and the motion activation technology continues to charge my device. It has enough power to fully charge my device twice without having to be plugged back into the wall. I love this product. My only grievances are the size and the price. The size of the product is somewhat large in the way that when its plugged into a wall its hard to find an outlet where it wont be in the way of something else. I also believe the price is a little high but considering the technology involved, it is very well worth it. When using my fast charger that came with my phone, my phone heats up very quickly. This is not a problem with this product. Pros: Everything Cons: The size is a little big for some outlets. #sharkkrules

This product is great at exactly what it is meant to be great at. I leave it plugged in to my wall to charge my tablet (which it does great), and then pull it out for trips. The 5000 mah battery works exactly as expected, no random stopping of the power source or less than advertised mah. All in all it is an excellent product and a must have for a frequent traveler.

This is the fastest charger/power bank combo ever I charged my iPad and iPhone on this and charges very quick also take with me y to work to charge my iphone

Received my Shark charger today. Does not have a micro USB or owners manual included. Best Buy said they will ship me a new one and a return label for the charger/package I received already. Keeping fingers crossed that the next package will have everything advertised. I don't know if the product is any good yet.
