It had me with "Sharknado". Yes, Mega Shark vs. Giant Octopus had a so stupid it's brilliant name and was a huge pile of fecal matter, but Sharknado just nails it. Yes,it is filled with poor acting, sublevel writing, and direction that isn't there and continuity mistakes that make you think your going crazy, but that adds to the charm of this flick. Its just a fun movie that I'm glad has garnered a huge cult, and a film series to boot. The picture quality is flat and glossy, status quo for The Asylum, with some good details but no filmic texture st all. The sound was decent but nothing that'll rattle the walls, even when the Sharknado hits, which is disappointing. Surprisingly, there are a few extras, including an audio commentary, a short featurette, a gag reel and a DVD copy exclusive with this BBY exclusive. All in all, a fun movie for a cheap price that deserves a spot in your movie collection, if only to say you own Sharknado!

The Sharknado movies are done by The Asylum, who specialize in low budget sci-fi and horror movies. Sharknado takes the novel idea of sharks surviving inside a tornado and chomping up people when the sharknado gets to land. They play it completely serious for this one, and ramp up the cheese and celebrity cameos in the films that follow. An enjoyable start to what has become one of the most unique movie franchises in history.

my 10 year old picked this one up at random in the store based on the title and cover art and i grudgingly agreed to get it for him. i'm glad i did, it's hilarious, campy, kitsch, and surprisingly well done. i've watched several times thru with other kids and parents and everyone is surprised pleasantly.

Best Buy has an awesome exclusive on this movie, a Blu-Ray and a DVD combo for a bargain price. Great action movie, keeps you interested all the way through, plus it has a great climactic ending. Can't wait for the sequel this summer.

I am a huge shark movie fan and have 1 1/2 shelves filled with DVDs and Blu-Rays. So when I saw the announcement of this title I stared in awe and then of course laughed. Then I bought and watched it and laughed from start to finish. Everything is possible in the Sharknado reality. Once you wrap your mind around that fact the wonderful insanity just flows over you. You have to watch it once but then you'll be hooked with 4 more already out and another on the way. Enjoy!!!

This movie has really great special effects. A made for TV movie that took the world by surprise. It has beauty and the beast ( via shark) all rap into one action filled movie.

I am hoping that when they made this movie they were going for campy. the special effects, acting and script is so bad that it is good fun watching this movie.

This movie does not take itself seriously, flying sharks, really?!, but it is fun to watch when you want to sit back and need a distraction from life.

I don't think I laughed so hard during a scifi movie as I did watching this one. It was made to be this way and I loved it for what it did.

As Sharknado 2 this is a very entertaining and fun to watch, to keep our minds of the the stuff that is going on in the world these days.

I recently ordered the dvd, Sharknado from the Best Buy website. I ordered it on a Sunday, and I received it 3 days later on Wednesday! I was thrilled at the speedy delivery! Sharknado returns to the days of campy movies. From the actors to the special effects, it thoroughly entertained me.

Even my wife who totally dislikes horror movies found this spoof quite enjoyable but Sharknado 2 is funnier than 1.

If you enjoy watching horrible movies with a completely unbelievable plot... then Sharknado is for you.

I have never seen anything so ridiculous. Yet, I am inspired to watch it over and over again. I find myself reenacting scenes for family and friends who have not seen it. My son wants his own chainsaw so he could be more like Fin. I wish I could live up to Fin's amazing courage. The only movie better is Sharknado 2!

my wife thought this would be fun to watch. the bestbuy clerk was elated we were purchasing and told us how great it was. yes, its pretty bad acting and even worse plot line, but if you just accept that it is a sci-fi movie and that nothing is going to make much sense, you can have a good time with it, just don't take everything so serious!

Sure, soooo campy!! Brain numbing mush for a rainy day...my gurlfriend loves this stuff!

It does its job well of exemplifying the many clichés found in sci-fi films.
