Spend extra $ to make your life miserable

Ridiculously bad user experience. Bought it for the smart features, thought it would make life easier. Nope. Makes life twice as hard. Every operation needs much more time. Need to use the microwave? Sure, open the door by waving your hands. And then? Use your hands to open the control panel. Close the door by pressing the close button. (No you cannot wave again, or use Alexa to close the microwave). Wait for the drawer to close, before pressing Start. (No you cannot just press start to close and start automatically). And then close the control panel. The app is hilariously bad. Took me an hour to connect to Wi-Fi, only to realize it does NOTHING of what I want it to do. If Sharp opened up their API, I would literally design a better app in 30 seconds. Don’t buy this unless it’s purely for a photo of your kitchen. It’s over priced and over engineered. If you really want a drawer oven, just get the simpler and cheaper one with the control panel easily accessible - at least you won’t spend hundreds of extra dollars on making your own life miserable.

Open Says Me!

I have owned my Sharpe microwave for only one month and have not had a chance to use all it's features. Looking forward to learning how to use it's WiFi features. So far, II have only used it to heat up foods. Wish I could rate it's cooking ability.

Love this new microwave. The drawer is perfect for a kitchen island. Our kids think it’s the coolest thing ever. It does its job and is very efficient love the wave feature.

Any Microwave that has a MRSP of $1900 should have a warranty of greater than one year. We have had problems from when it was first installed, sharp sent a repairman out who adjusted the door and it seemed to work fine when tested. Unfortunately our renovation took a year to complete and now that the microwave would turn off and lock mid cook and has stopped powering on completely sharp will not offer any assistance with this product.

Loud Buzzing and smoke came out of back.

Purchased one from best buy 12 2018 and it just broke today. Loud buzzing noise and smoke from back. 2 years and 6 months is not very old for an expensive microwave. Very Disappointed! I would stay clear of Sharp microwave drawers. If you do a google search. microwave drawer problems. you will see lots of problems with this brand. even a class action lawsuit! No other microwave drawer brands will show up with problems. Must use better quality magnetron.
