Sound is great, this is my second unit I had the earlier model that just died one day, I did try the brand again, hope this works better (last for longer than a year and a half)

    Great form factor, average sound.

I bought it mainly for its form factor, 54.5 x 2.7 x 2.9 inches dimensions, which complements well my 70' Sharp TV. The sound is okay but unimpressive. I guess you can't expect much from sound bars in general: even the most entry level 5.1 receiver-speakers system will beat any expensive sound bar. I connected it to my tv via the optical cable (not included, ridiculous, right?), and didn't encounter any connection problems, but the Bluetooth really has a very limited range, 15 feet at most. In conclusion, if it's on sale and you have a really big tv, then it's worth buying.

    sounds good ..for a while

I bought the 602 a year ago to connect to my new Samsung tv in our room addition. It worked great for about 10 months. Now when I go back an forth between channels the sound goes out and I have to go back to the original channel or I have turn the whole system off to get the sound back. The bass is virtually non existent. I have an old Sony home theater system I bought at Circuit City that works much better on my tv in my other room. Next time....not a Sharp.

    Great Sound Bar

I needed an upgrade to the crummy speakers on my 65" Panasonic. Got everything hooked up via the HDMI Arc setup and worked right away. Unlike a previous review my Direct TV remote will work the unit. Sounds great and bass is pretty good. Huge upgrade and matches the size of my TV well. If you need a large sound bar, this one will not dissapoint.

    Piece of Junk

4 months after using it, it died. BestBuy can't help because it has been more that three months. After spending 15 minutes on hold, Sharp discovers they have no one in the LA/Orange county area to repair the unit so I have to ship it back to them. So do I find boxes and then pay for shipping (no shipping label provided), I have not decided yet. Third piece of Sharp gear to die in warranty. Guess that should tell me not to buy their stuff anymore.

    unit changes setting on start-up

I have it hooked up through HDMI to my TV. I have input set on HDMI. Just recently it started switching input from HDMI to TV ARC on its own. It does this every time I turn it on. When I turn it on, the input will first show as HDMI but after about 5 seconds it switches to TV ARC which cuts all the sound out. I bought it about 6 months ago and never had this problem until last week. Now it happens everyday. Also, the pre-assigned sound settings I find don't work well with basketball/football games. You either get too much announcers and not enough crowd noise or vise versa. Manual setting don't achieve it also. I do like the bass though.

Stay clear at all cost from this product

Purchased the sound bar 14 months ago. Went with the Sharp because I purchased the 70 inch 240 hz Sharp Aquos. 14 months later, of minimal use I might add, the sound bar goes kaput. Sharp service tells me it's $20 to ship, and an up front cost of $50 just to take it out of the box. Sorry, but a $399 item should work longer then 14 months. Can't wait for the tv to die. Thanks for nothing Sharp. Last time I will ever purchase one of your products. Absolute junk.

This soundbar is a good deal. This is ideal for a average size living room. The speakers are clean looking and smaller. The sound is nice a clear. Has bluetooth and nfc so connecting your phone is super easy. Sounds good for watching movies.

Preset tones were hardly accurate. I had the sAme arc issues as others using my 70 sharp aquos. It began to work as it should for a week and then never turned back on. I thought this would sync good with my sharp tv, no. I thought it would be better quality and last longer than a Walmart knock off, no.

    Poor movie dialog sound

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

When watching news or sports dialog sounds fine, but while watching a movie Im not happy. If I don't turn the 3d sound on (I've tried both option 1 and 2) the sound bar sounds rather flat, not a whole lot of definition. The dialog is quiet but not too bad. Turning 3d sound sounds great except dialog is significantly drowned out by the background sound and is often time much quieter then it should be. It sounds fine if there isn't a whole lot of other noise but in action scenes it's very noticeable.

Here is a perspective from someone who had this for a year. It stops working. It no longer syncs to my tv. No solution other than having to buy a new one. Good luck if you buy this.
