I like the sound, the bluetooth connectivity, 5 CD changer and FM radio. The sound from the cassette player is not as good and the AM radio stations do not come in clear.

This may not be the best shelf speaker system, but for the price it does its job. I use this outside at a fishing camp, so I do wish it could be a bit louder. Indoors, I'm sure it has plenty volume. Bluetooth, 5-Disc CD Changer, Cassette, Radio, USB...The only thing that's missing is a phonograph. I'm sure there are better systems out there, but this is good enough for most users and the price is right!

This compact system has a great sound and is fairly easy to use. Took a little getting used to to use the CD player but once understood easy. Fits on the shelf of my wall unit and looks great.

For those who like a mixture of old school and the new. 240W provides ample power for a great sound. The Blue Tooth adds versatility of input as does the 5 CD trays. It has 3 FM Bands and 1 AM Band but the supplied antenae are not strong unless you're close to a radio station. The instructions are hard to understand in some places as well. Overall it is a good player.

Excellent buy from Best Buy!! I was looking to update from an old JVC Mini Stereo System and came across the Sharp 5-Disc Mini Shelf System at Best Buy. My requirements were for a CD system with AM/FM radio, 2 speakers, great sound and the fact that it also comes with a cassette player is an extra bonus! The sound is terrific and everything seems to work okay. Highly recommend this product because it seems to be a dying breed so get yours while you can.

I purchased this stereo about a month ago and I have been very pleased so far. It is not complicated to learn how to operate it and the directions were very user friendly. I am really enjoying the cassette player. I played a cassette that was 20 years old yesterday and the sound was clear as a bell! Glad I didn't throw them all away!

Good player for the options it offers; CD, Cassette, Radio. Sound is very good. Remote could be better. Overall for the money a good value.

I bought this cd player to replace one that just stopped working. As with most mini players, the power cords to the speakers are always too short to place the speakers a few feet from the radio. I always have to use speaker wire to splice into the power cords, to get the length that I need, as with this system. The second problem, was the owner's manual. Instead of a booklet, the manual was on a large fold out sheet and I had to search for the parts of the manual that give instructions on setting up my radio channels, loading and unloading CDs, etc. Other than those points, the system has the best sound of a mini system, that I have heard, in a very long time.

Easy setup and usage. Great sound overall with a strong bass for such small, light speakers. I think I had the same problem as most people trying to get the unit to go into a true off/standby position. Once figured out it's been an a smooth operation. Do wish the remote opened each cd player instead of the one button on the front of the unit.

The item is overall very good. Sufficient power for indoor use, cassette player (a requirement of mine), auxiliary input and USB plus the Bluetooth function is really great. The only issue is the CD system. Already had to return the item once for being defective. Plus the disc changer is really slow and the controls for changing or playing disc requires repetitive attempts to achieve the proper action. Only other issue is this feature of picking up where you left off when returning to a previously played disc. It's ok as a feature you can turn on and off but as a built in fixed feature can get very annoying.

Works nicely. Has all the necessary options for playing all types of music! Bluetooth, CD’s, radio, and cassette. Good sound.

The Sharp Mini Shelf System have great sound and small compact for size of sharp self system. The sharp mini system is good price for it.

I purchased this as a gift for my 75 year old mother. It needed to be simple set up, simple to use, and not a lot of extra tech stuff to confuse her. Her only requirement was that it hold multiple CD's and get an FM station with "decent" music. Only drawback is the lighted display does not go into rest mode when unit is turned off. She doesn't like that it is in constant motion even when not in use.

Gift for dad to listen to games and cd's in his garage. He loves it! Compact with great sound and easy to use.

This unit was the closest match found to replace a boom box that finally wore out after more than three decades of faithful service. With one month's use, it is performing as expected. The audio quality is better than expected. Some other reviews complain of inadequate volume. While it might not suffice in a back yard or gymnasium, it is more than adequate for typical domestic use. The antennae could be better. The FM antenna is wire that can be difficult to position for optimum service unless one extends it with an unaesthetic attachment to the ceiling or high on a wall. Using a coaxial cable to connect to the TV antenna in my attic resolved this issue. It was a bit surprising that the AM antenna is external. This unit's predecessor had an internal AM antenna & it showed little directional sensitivity. The external AM antenna is highly directional & did not receive stations 30-35 miles distant well without adjusting the coil's orientation. The off-white lettering for the black buttons on the sides of the front is easy to read in bright daylight but impossible in the room during the evening. By contrast, the remote control's lettering is clear in the evening. The remote works well, but it was necessary to consult user's guide to operate the disc changer. A disc changer was a surprise, since their popularity has declined in recent years. It works, but one wonders how robust the mechanism will be over time. The USB connection capability was a bonus. It works intuitively and well. The Bluetooth connection has not been tested.

I got this Sharp mini-stereo as a gift for a relative who did not have a CD player. It is perfect for the intended purpose. The AM/FM tuner works fine, and so does the CD player. The sound quality is great for a small shelf system. The cassette player was great to have too since my relative had lots of cassettes to play. The shipment was quick and the setup also very convenient.

Like it because it plays cd's,cassettes,usb,bluetooth,mp3 and radio.Is compact and easy to set up and use. The speakers have good sound.The price was very good.

Exactly what I was looking for. Plays my cds, radio stations& streams those stations the rest of the family loves. Most importantly it turns on reliably and I’m not constantly reconnecting to it each time I turn it on.

Very happy with this bookshelf system. I have a ton of CDs that I haven’t heard in years because everything is digital now. It’s been nice getting to hear that music again. I was surprised how good this stereo sounds. Super easy to set up. Has great bass, very clear and crisp sound. I’d recommend it.
