Customers admire the 32" Class (31.5" Diag.) - LED - 1080p - Smart - HDTV - Roku TV for its exceptional picture quality, user-friendly Roku interface, and affordable price. Many users have praised the hassle-free setup process, making it an excellent choice for those seeking a reliable and budget-friendly television. While some have expressed concerns about the lack of a number pad on the remote control and a slightly slow startup time, these drawbacks seem minor compared to the overall positive feedback.

Just on a whim, I went and looked at some TVs at the Best Buy, and came across a pair of open-box items. One of the major selling points is that it is a Roku TV product, so that is one less thing I have to have plugged in, and can use the slot for something else! The only "negative" for the television, is that it is a bit slow when it starts up, but that does not bother me terribly much personally...just a minor annoyance. But for a 1080p product? It does phenomenal! (I built the TV stand with items procured via IKEA and Amazon...)

We really like this television, although with current pricing models, it is feeling like you pay a premium for a "smaller" (i.e., 32") set. Picture and sound with various sources are excellent. Navigation through the set's interface is generally pretty slick. The only obvious limitation is the simple remote control. It is perfectly functional, but not particularly graceful -- for example, TV channels can only be selected by scrolling up and down, since there is no numerical keypad. It;s possible that the expectation is that such functions will likely be controlled by the remote associated with other connected devices. Anyway -- in summary we really like this set for features and performance. It is 1080 (vs 720 for many sets this size), and it is "smart". If you are in the market for a TV this size, you would do well to look at this one..

With built-in Roku TV and good picture quality, a good buy. Plus you save an extra remote, Roku and TV in one. But gave 4-star 'coz, it's kind of a little slow at start up and no wired network - only wireless.

It has been 6 months since. I bought this TV for my inlaws who needed to upgrade from their 32" Proscan TV (not a good TV). This TV is much clearer and the built-in Roku app works great. They use the Roku everyday and it haven't had any issues. As others have said, this is a really good tv if roku is the focal point of the tv. It can get kind of annoying to always switch to "TV" when turning it on because it defaults to the Roku portion when you first power it on. The setup of the tv was easy and fast. Took me about 15 minutes to get Roku set up and download the Roku channels they wanted. And the tv is VERY light and sleek. As with most TVs this size, the speakers aren't great but they are sufficient. You don't need to buy a sound bar for it as it gets loud enough for a tv this size.

Excellent Out Of The Box Picture

I needed an inexpensive TV for our computer room and this fit the bill. I did read reviews here and other sites and decided to purchase it. I thought at $179.00 it was a good buy indeed. After unpacking this TV from the box, which Sharp did a great job packaging by the way, I put it on my corner wall mount. I have my Xfinity X1 companion box on HDMI 1 and my kids Wii U on HDMI 3. BE PREPARED TO SPEND AT LEAST 5-10 MINUTES just in setup time once you power it up. I couldn't find a way around it but in my experience you cannot just begin to view TV without going through the ROKU setup. Once you setup the WIFI connection, you will be asked for your ROKU login information and if you don't have one you can create account. Have a computer or tablet handy b/c you will need to go to ROKU's website in order to complete the initial setup process. It also asked for my HULU and NETFLIX information and once that was entered, I was able to choose apps to download to the TV (again all done on ROKU's website). The TV will update and download all the software it needs and will restart after completion. The TV will take you through a quick setup and asking you what is connected to each input and allows you to name each accordingly. There will be a quick one minute video to follow (which you can skip) that explains the remote and the menus and how to use them. It can prove to be helpful and at this point what is another minute of time? The TV does take time to boot (similar to a computer for comparison) and my TV takes 16.25 seconds to boot. Once it boots it brings up the HOME screen and in the upper left corner of my HOME screen it shows my Xfinity X1 companion box and whatever channel I have it on (reference picture). The processor on this TV is on par with the price point so don't expect it to be fast. I find it to be acceptable when loading NETFLIX and other apps. I don't experience any buffering although my internet speeds are 220.1 Mbps down and 11.8 Mbps up on a NETGEAR X6 Nighthawk Router. The remote might be a turnoff for some folks b/c it is not your typical universal remote. I think SHARP could have made a remote with everything it has on it now and make it a universal remote. I knew this going in and don't use it to change TV channels like off the air antennas that some folks may use. I can see this being a pain in the rear having to scroll through all the channels if this is your case. The picture quality out of the box is one of the best I have seen recently. SHARP doesn't give you many options to calibrate the screen, but with the options given, I got a really killer screen!!! The sound is on par for a TV of it's size and you have a few sound modes to choose from. I would recommend this to anyone as a secondary/spare room TV. I knew what I was buying going into it so I was not surprised with setup time and the remote as I have read some folks were in many reviews. Do your research first but I would be hard pressed to find a TV at this price point with the apps it has and the picture quality out of the box.

We love this TV with build in ROKU. Super easy to set up, and operate; very sharp high resolution picture. It's very light which makes it portable in case I want to take it to other rooms. I connected HD Antenna for local channels, Hulu, Amazon, Netflix and my whole family is enjoying our new TV in the kitchen. We just love it and highly recommend it.

Needed a new bdrm Tv. Read couple reviews and found open box deal in store. While I do use directv, the integrated roku player is awesome! Set up was very easy and user friendly! There are a ton of apps u can add..but having the roku remote is prime! We use Netflix and Amazon prime which roku had preset. Picture...for under $200 this picture is richer than my sons samsang smart Tv ('15 and cost more). Having easy access to night mode, bright mode, movie mode, sleeper is awesome. Con(s): the ONLY hiccup so far is when using directv. When u power on with directv remote it defaults to roku main menu and u have to select hdmi input from screen with roku remote. Not big deal and sure if there is a work around but kind of annoying. But still, the extra 5 seconds isn't a big deal. That is the only reason for the 4 out of 5. Pro: picture and the ability to use the roku app on my phone to control apps AND... plug in my ear buds to my phone (or iPad) and listen to whatever I'm watching...so Tv is silent and only sound thru earbuds. It's AWESOME!! (Wife appreciates it too!!) Great overall buy. Very happy!

Great TV for the price. I wanted something small for my bedroom so I would quit needing my laptop in bed with me (especially since my dog would enjoy laying on top of it) and this has all the streaming apps you could ever need available out of the box. Really easy to setup and decent picture quality.

Nice TV Great Features - Quirky Channel Navigation

The TV is a quick setup and has great features with built-in ROKU and multiple source inputs, including HDMI. Phone jack for listening with headset nice when ambient noise exists (e.g., on the exercise machine). The addition of a 16 GB USB Flash Drive allows you, within the program you are watching, to go back to earlier parts and still see the full program. It does have a quirky channel navigation when watching regular TV channels. When just using the forward and back arrow buttons on the remote UP is a Higher channel and DOWN is a Lower channel. When selecting from the scrolling full channel list via the LEFT arrow the reverse is true and the Higher channel numbers are DOWN and Lower channel numbers are UP. Consistency here would boost it to 5 Stars. 4 1/2 stars are my true rating. Convenient screen size that fits almost anywhere but is still a big screen to view across the room on the treadmill. Great picture and low operating cost. We use it in our basement recreation & exercise room. Easy to use by the grand kids.

I have several active Roku Devices in the house, rokustick, roku 3 and adding the Roku TV(manufactured by Sharp). Excellent picture, very competitive price, full HD, all featured streaming services in one place. I like it all, my favorite services: Hulu,Netflix, Amazon Instant video, Sling, Red Bull. Fast WiFi, reliable. Streaming simultaneously at HD on 3 devices never drops quiality down from HD. Note: the stand looks weird, but I installed the TV on the wall, so the stand is. Owhere in sight. I dont use cable, but the indoor aplified attenna picks up 20 OTA channels and the Roku TV tuner was easy to program/use. The remote fits easily in your palm. Only wish: the Roku TV remote had the feature of headphones (like Roku 3 box).

I've been in the market for a smaller 32 inch for my bedroom for a while now. All of the units i've been looking at were lacking imo- most sub $200 units are only 720p. I picked this unit up on sale for $175 and some change and i couldn't be happier. Most of the 720 units i considered were around 130-150, so the price jump is negligible. Picture quality is crisp and bright. The darks are dark. It has 3 hdmi ports, where most smaller units nowadays have only 2. The sound quality is actually excellent considering how small the system is. I love the roku software. I still think an external roku is the better purchase, BUT, i bought this unit with the consideration that its less wires to run and easier to move the unit as a whole without misplacing which wires go where etc (also the unit is super light- i think my grandparents could lift it without batting an eye). The control is super easy to operate, not a lot of buttons to get confused on. I particularly love how the volume buttons are placed on the side of the remote, makes it very easy to find when the lights are off and a movie is playing. All in all, I can't recommend this unit highly enough. I did purchase it on sale, but having it now, i would still purchase it again at full price.

Purchased four of these TVs to be used by my company as displays for materials to recruit at colleges and participate in STEM events at local elementary and high schools. They are super easy to set up, the 100mm X 100mm mounting pattern matched up well with a pole mount conversion kit. TVs are light and easy to pick up and adjust to overhead heights. They have great color and sound to use power point presentations. Company used to spend thousands of $s on printed, folding show displays. These offer alternative lower cost with flexible - customizable presentations on the fly.
