We wanted a system in our kitchen to play various music thru various methods that can be heard in other rooms. We love this system. Super easy to set up, looks stylish and the sound is amazing. Easy to connect your phone via bluetooth and the multi CD player is a bonus. Would totally recommend this!!!

I purchased one several years ago and then bought this one for my sister. It's compact and has great sound. The fact that you can load it with 5 CD's is a big plus! And it's easy to set up! We both love it!

My Bose multi-CD player died on me, and I have a massive CD collection that I'm not willing to give up. Rather than pay $800 for a new Bose, I purchased this Sharp system, and I was pleasantly surprised at the quality. Of course, the sound cannot compare to a Bose, but it is very close. I love the built-in Bluetooth that pairs easily, so I can listen to podcasts from my cell phone. I was concerned at some reviews that mentioned you needed to buy some type of connector to use the Bluetooth, but that is not true at all, at least with this model. I was happy, too, that this unit provides both AM and FM radio, and there is an antenna to improve the AM reception. There aren't many stereo systems that offer AM anymore. The unit looks great, is very easy to use and sounds great. I highly recommend.

Lots of features for a smaller unit. Good sound. CD player accepts 5 cd's, also play my Sirius radio through it in addition to music off of a flash drive (note:only accepts MP3 formatting). The standard antennas included for am/fm radio are less than worthless. Hardly gets stations a few miles away. Called Sharp tech support, and they were no help. Advised me to buy an aftermarket antenna. Since the unit has specialized plugs for antennas, I asked for a recommendation of an aftermarket antenna that was compatible with the Sharp plugs. They said to check with the vendor. Thought Tech support people were supposed to be informed about their product, or at least willing to do some research.

A nice little system, perfect for a shelf or desktop. It's great if you still have CDs that you enjoy listening to, but it also will satisfy the millennials and post-millennials who prefer to stream or play their Spotify or iTunes via their phone due to its Bluetooth capability. It's well-constructed and sounds fantastic for its size! I have only two criticisms: 1. The remote and button layout seems unnecessarily complicated. You'll need to take some time and actually read the manual. 2. There is no aux RCA input. I had hoped to add a cassette player, but it looks like I'll need an adapter if I can use it at all. Otherwise, a great little unit at a great price.

Good sound. Great value. Load it up from my large CD collection or use the Bluetooth with the computer or NFC with the phone. This compact unit does it all. Surprising sound quality for the price/size. The one thing I don't like is it can't be shut off completely unless you pull the plug. I find that strange.

Thank you for your feedback on our unit. Please note that if the unit is in Demo mode, you will see words scroll. To cancel the demonstration mode, press the DEMO button on the remote control once. The unit will enter the Bluetooth standby mode.
To cancel the Bluetooth standby mode, press the ECO button on the remote control. The unit will now enter the low power consumption mode and shut off. Sharp

This is the best small system I have seen lately. It produces a very acceptable sound (I'm using it in a garage workshop) and it has a good look and a very convenient package which provides lots of functions in a minimally sized unit. The length of the speaker wires is fairly short and I needed an additional three feet to allow for installation on a shelf and the distance to the control unit. I spliced additional wiring to those that came with the unit and everything seems to be working perfectly. It handles 5 CD's easily and does a good job of accessing music on my iPhone via bluetooth. The components feel like decent quality and this all ends up being a very satisfying little system for the price.

We had been looking for a multi-disc CD unit and found this little gem. It doesn't take up much space, but packs a big sound and was easy to set-up. The remote is very handy and makes adjusting volume, changing input or CD extremely easy. You can also link to your phone or other bluetooth source and it will also play MP3's.

Nice bookshelf audio system with great sound

Nice form factor. Great sound. I got this system mainly to provide better sound on Zoom calls than using my laptop's or TV's built-in speakers. It's great for that. The remote control makes it really easy to adjust volume on the fly. The five disc CD-changer works as expected. It's pretty slow when moving from one disc to another, but that's hardly surprising. The default audio settings include extra bass, which helps a lot. Definitely not the small, tinny sound I've heard from many other bookshelf systems. Not quite up to par with systems from Bose or Philips with longer sound tubes for added bass resonance, but also not in their price ranges, either. Net result is good sound for a good price.

    Replacement for an old Sony

This was a replacement for a Sony system purchased 15 years ago. Both have 5 disc CD player encorporated. Price was good and wattage fits our living area very well. Fairly easy to set up. Perhaps the directions for the disc options could be clearer. I wish the manual was printed as a booklet with a larger font size. The single sheet 20 page directions are too overwhelming. Sound quality is very good as is the AM/FM reception. I had some problems with FM reception with the old Sony (the unit sits behind doors in a book case. The value for the price is good.

Have had it a little over two months. Love the device. Gives great sound to my old CDs and love the Bluetooth capability. A little concerned that very once in a while (twice a week) the device switches playing modes for no good reason. Just yesterday I was listening to my CDs and it switched to Bluetooth for no reason. I hope this does not keep happening.

was not expecting too much, but a Bose unit we had stopped working. Sound quality is much better than expected, The speakers and the unit itself was selected due to the size of the space it would be placed in. The rear ports on the speakers reflect off the rear wall of the cabinet and the volume and overall sound is very good. The 5 disk changer is what was desired and it works very well. The user still listens to cassette tapes on an old dual cassette deck that I connected to the aux port. Everything she wanted is still working for her and it pays to keep Mom happy.

This is a very good shelf system. I had some CDs that I missed hearing (despite having most of the music in digital form). There's something about physical media. So I grabbed this, knowing it wasn't going to be the loudest or best sounding. It's got a total of 50 watts of power (not mentioned in any specs, but it's on the box) and easily fits on a shelf or on top of a dresser. The CD player mechanism is a little louder than some old systems I had in the past, but hey, I didn't want to spend $700+ for a CD player and amp/speakers. The sound quality is good - about a "B". Good not great sound, bass is not as deep as could be, but please remember the size and the price. If you want more bass, there are other shelf systems at Best Buy that have separate subwoofers. I looked at that, but didn't want to commit to the space of that unit. If you are looking for a good sounding system that is compact enough to fit on a shelf and play CDs, this is a darn good choice. If you want mega-power in terms of wattage and deep bass, look elsewhere.

Exactly what I was looking for. Takes up very little space, good volume, appearance nice. I only wish I would have bought the previous model that had a cassette player as well. It was discontinued while I was watching the sale prices so I got this one instead.

If you have a large, much loved CD collection and this is the best solution I have found that includes high quality, compact size and options to integrate other devices or connecting via blue tooth. I am a professional media guy and having decent sound was the decider...everything else in this price range or below had less than good sound. I am using this in my garage while I sort through years of stuff and for this I am truly thankful for the sound and feature quality. I have never had a problem with Sharp electironics...in fact I respect the name and can't remember any Sharp product being problematic or cheap.

Works great! Things to know: iPhone has to connect using Bluetooth not usb plug in. Player will NOT shuffle music from 5 different loaded discs at a time. Shuffles from one disc only. Otherwise it is great! The sound is very good and it is nice and compact. I have it on a bookcase shelf with an extra shelf pulled out since it is a little too wide.

Love this sound system. Great sound and compact. Was looking for something smaller to play. Great bass sound as well. This replaced a very old sound system that was analog so the digital dial is another plus. I would highly recommend this. Ordered on line from Best Buy and did curbside pick up which was super easy.
