Very clear picture and easy to use controls. Set-up easy. Sound is good but suggest using sound-bar with any large TV. Purchased matching Sharp sound bar with TV. Went shopping for a 60" and narrowed selection at store down to Sharp based on picture quality, features and price. My Wife talked me into the 70" and At first I thought it was too big going from a 42" we have. One thing I learned is after bringing it home and using it for awhile the 70" didn't seem as big as it did in store. Picture is so large and clear I can now watch TV without glasses. If you have room go bigger !! Also found watching TV much more pleasing to put TV on stand at eye level versus hanging on wall and looking up.

Ever since I bought my 52" Samsung LCD HDTV I have been looking to upgrade. I thought I would stick with Samsung but when I saw this in Best Buy I was really impressed. Purchased and setup for delivery within about a week of my purchase and they actually came out a little earlier (about 4 days). The delivery crew un-boxed and set the TV where I wanted it. and I was viewing in a matter of minutes. First thing I did was setup Netflix. The big Netflix button on the remote makes it real easy. Set my username and password once and have not had to again. So far I have connected Satelite TV, Blu Ray player and an HTPC to the screen. Also ran Digital Audio Optical cable out to my receiver for surround sound. I have tried the web broswer and although it functioned it would take some getting use to. The apps for the smart TV are plenty but not sure I could see my self using much more then Netflix, Pandora and Youtube. One feature i loved was the Smart Central App for my Ipad and Iphone it allows me to control the tv creating extra remotes.

I bought this television open box February '15. I had an excellent in-store experience with the sales staff. I have encountered a 4" discoloration in the center. I lived with it since I took the risk of buying it open box. This month a bright green line has appeared on the left hand side. Since I am out of the 30 return policy i contacted Sharp and their warranty is covering replacement. I had two options of having a moving company taking the TV and sending it in and getting an exact replacement since this model is no longer sold. Or I can take a code to Best Buy and exchange it for store credit. This is still in process as of this post date.

Great large screen, Smart TV. Wanted to help others-I was able to connect to the Smart Wi-Fi by going to the manual set up instead of initial auto set up. It took me a total of 15 minutes to get the Smart function/Wi-Fi connected and my wireless router is not close by. You need to have the TV search for Wi-Fi connections manually and then enter your router password. I prefer the Dynamic viewing mode and disabled the energy saver for optimal color/brightness. Also it is defaulted to 120HZ. Change this to 240hz using setting. I purchased for my master bedroom.

Beautiful picture! It's lightweight and was easy to mount to the wall. It was easy to get started and I would high recommend this TV. I've received so many compliments on it and want to get another one for the bedroom. This one Is in the living room. If you're contemplating purchasing this TV go for It!

I purchased this TV to replace a 32" tube TV. The picture is amazing. Very easy to set up and the TV is light weight for its size ( I mounted it on the wall alone without much of a struggle - I am 5' 9" and 240lbs - not an athlete by any means). The TV has both wired and wireless internet access and connnecting to the network was a snap. I cannot comment much on the streaming content as I have had a Roku and use that primarily to stream content. The reason I wanted it connected to the internet is for firmware updates. I also cannot comment too much on the speakers as all of the sound goes through my surround sound system. I chose this model over the LC-70SQ15U specifically because I didn't want the 3D (I have two young children and I know the glasses would constantly be lost, scratched, broken, etc), and I am very happy!

I purchased this tv as an open box deal for the display model when it was replaced by the 4k model (made sure to purchase the extended warranty just in case).
Pros:
-The picture quality is great right out of the box. I sit about 8' away and I use the Energy Star picture settings with pro film mode set at 4 (the "soap opera effect" setting. It makes the picture more crisp but doesn't put in as much blur as most other tvs.) I compared this to my cousin's tv, which is the model up (with 4k upscaling) and couldn't notice a difference in picture quality.
-The sound is decent, and definitely better than some other tvs I've heard recently. I will be purchasing a soundbar eventually, but it's not necessary to enjoy the set. (I would recommend to adjust the bass to full, especially for dialogue-heavy shows.)
-The tv has a ton of options (like turning the "tv on" light permanently off, which seems like a small thing but is really great to be able to control)
-The tv has more than enough HDMI ports for what I need
-The Smart apps use the newer versions of Hulu and Netflix
Cons:
-When I bought it, the screen had white "clouding" at the base (Google it and you'll see what I mean). This is a common issue with this particular screen. It's not really noticeable unless the screen is pure white/gray. I mostly play games on mine, and I rarely if ever notice it. It probably doesn't develop until over 100 hours of being on (mine was the display, so it had well more than that).
-The smart controls and menu are clunky, and the tv takes 30 seconds to a minute to connect to wifi. I also had to reset the tv to factory settings to be able to connect to wifi after about 2 weeks of owning the set. Haven't had that issue since. Some apps take a while to load, and when they do load they don't function smoothly.
Bottom line: this is a great tv for the price. If your local store has any left I'd recommend buying it.

I have only had this Sharp for a month but so far no complaints. Easy set up, great picture. I had a 46" Samsung that had a great picture, however moved to a house with a larger room and had to go BIG. This is Big. I think this is your best bang for the buck and Best Buy's delivery was great.

Just bought a new house and was looking for a big TV to fit my big wall space. I have always loved the samsung TV s, but was on a budget this time and didn't want to spend 3,000 on a new 4k samsung tv. I was recommended the sharp for the size and it's quality by the best buy rep. So I gambled and to his advised , so far it's been great. Good size good quality and good price. I'd say it was a good buy.

This is my first 240hz LED Smart TV. I never really thought it made a difference until I bought this TV. The picture on this TV is so much more clear than my old Sharp Aquos that was 120hz LCD. It's also a smart TV which is pretty cool as well. I didn't realize all the features available, and I'm still learning some of them. Great product I'd recommend it to anyone.

This TV is absolutely fantastic. The picture is amazing and the colors are great. I really enjoy watching racing ( nascar, supercross, motocross ) the fast refresh rate makes the action so realistic, it is actually better than being at the event. Well you can not smell the exhaust but you almost can. Seriously the TV is really great.

We made a similar purchase two years ago. We have enjoyed our big screen immensely. The picture quality is sharp and colors vibrant and have encountered no problems with it thus far so we decided to make an identical purchase for our rec area in our home. We would highly recommend Sharp TV big screen.

My last sharp blew after 2 years so it took a lot to buy another however with the 70 class there is not many options. With that being said for 2k it had the best features and looked good. I am happy for the moment i just hope it last longer than 2 years because their customer service sucks.

This is my first Sharp purchase, I've always spent more money and bought Samsung, but I wanted a 70" and I just couldn't pull the trigger for the Samsung this time around, they were so much higher than this Sharp and it looked great in the store. It looks even better in my media room, easy to set up, no issues working with my surround sound set-up (Onkyo Receiver and Definitive Tech 5.1 System). I am going to hang it soon, as I'm a little worried about it since it is so big about it being on my cabinet I have it on, I'd feel better if it was on the wall. I have young boys who run around and jump around while playing xbox/kinect. I would defintely buy this TV again.

In the past I would have gone with a Sony or Samsung for the name. However after seeing the picture quality in the store I began to do more research on Sharp. It seems that they build an excellent quality TV when it comes to large screens. I have had the TV for about 2 months and am very pleased with everything so far. Picture quality is excellent. I do notice "ghosting" on certain Netflix shows but this may be due to the Internet stream. Just watched a documentary on the Alps and the picture quality was superb. For the money it is a worthwhile investment.

This tv was an upgrade from a 56 in rear projection tv. I wanted something on the 70" or higher range. This tv has a great picture compared to my rear projection. I researched tv's for a month and decided to pull the trigger on this model. So far, I am quite happy with it. The tv is hooked up to a HD DVR and XBOX360. I'm an avid Netflix user and movies stream wirelessly without any problems. Wish Sharp had a MLB TV app (use the XBOX 360 for this). Sound is quite dull from the TV speaker but I have it hooked up to a Yamaha Soundbar and sub woofer. Overall, tv is great for my use.

We had a 61" HD tv that this replaced in the livingroom The Sharp is amazing when our sons were over last Sunday, 1 said he could see individual blades of grass on the football field! I had previously hard wired for ethernet and coax cables so hookup was easy and netflex is nice to have. My wife has a new 50" led tv in the bedroom and has tv envy! I convinced her the Sharp is too big for the bedroom...

At 8ft away I could not see anymore detail then a 4k set. Picture is awsome. Rich vivid colors. Motion is smooth and clear. Could not imagine a better picture.
