My very first large TV at 60" the only thing I am missing is the 3D which I thought this model had and what the sales person said it had,..obviously he was mistaken. Though, being that 3D is not as popular as when it first came out, and the fact one would have to wear bulky 3D glasses still being an issue, I didn't feel as bad not having it with this model. Overall, the picture is as good as it can get. Especially when you run Blue Ray DVD's which will read at the full 1080 instead of the average digital cable feed on a majority of their stations running at 720, unless you have Dish Network which runs more at 1080. I watched JAW's made in 1975 digitally remastered on Blue Ray and watched it on this TV,...it was like watching a whole new movie,..very pleasant to view. I did have to buy a separate surround sound system as this TV surround sound does need to be enhanced to get the full experience. I spent $138 for a simple Sony surround system which did the trick. The Soap Opera effect was something I had to do research on. This is an effect when the refresh rate is maxed out and your TV will clear the picture up to a point where the movie looks like a soap opera. I kinda actually like this unlike some people who can't stand this effect. You can turn the refresh rate down if needed and this TV has different modes that allow you to cater the function to what you're watching, e.g. sports, old time movies, Blue Ray DVD's etc. The TV fits perfect in my living room. Sitting 12 plus feet away is perfect viewing distance with this model. I have do a few Sony PS3 games on this and it is amazing to say the least. Having the refresh rate higher here at 240Hz for gaming is a bonus.

I've been looking at this set for quite a while. I was going to purchase it one weekend and just passed, the very next weekend, the price dropped $500. The clarity, color and richness of the picture is stunning! I didn't intend to buy a 3-D television, but once I saw how capable the set was of rendering such, I have no regrets. Set up was easy, simple, just unplugged my previous 46" Aquos and reconnected all the cables. Glad that it has a CAT5 connection, so prefer such to wireless. I've recommended it to everyone I know!

Overall this HDTV is a winner. Super thin overall depth, easy setup to internet (via WiFi or Ethernet cable) and setting up personal preferences. The HD channels are so clear and clean, you would swear the actors were in the room with you. Very different viewing experience than my old 42" HDTV. The internal audio volume sometimes does not increase as loud as I would like, but I connected to my 5 channel surround sound system with the available optical connection and I have perfect sound to go with the viewing experience.

This is my first 60" slim LCD style TV. I am impressed by the picture and refresh. I am amazed by how much better this set sounds than others in this price range (not cheap!). No sound bar needed, even in a very large room. I have had the set for 3 weeks and haven't had a chance to use the internet capabilities yet so may review those later.

The picture quality is unbelievable. The HD channels just jump off the screen. The motion blur during sports is completely gone. The sound is okay, but is rear-directed so is a bit muffled. I am ecstatic with my purchase.

Great price for an amazing TV. Image quality is great. Fits perfectly in our living room and we noticed that it doesn't heat up, which our previous TV did do.

This is my third Sharp television. I have had extraordinary service from the first two and this it is a very under-rated brand. The picture is brilliant and bursting with color. Regular television broadcast is nice but a bluray disc is amazing. You will think you are in a theatre. The sound is much improved over my two previous Sharps.

Excellent picture quality. I was upgrading from a 40 inch Samsung. Choices were between the Sharp and a similar Samsung model. Sharp was cheaper and provided exactly what I needed for a much better price than a similar Samsung.

I walked into the store with a budget in mind and my sales person showed me what I would get for my money in relationship to the size of my room, that was all it took to determine the size. I could have gone BIG but the 60" was a better value at 1500.00 and then was blown away by the picture quality !

I enjoy this tv and the picture quality is good. It was easy to hang on the wall with the sanso wall mount from Best Buy. So far I enjoy this tv but haven't been able to use it as much as I want to.

I have had this TV for about 6 weeks and have loved every minute of it. What an upgrade from my 8 year old plasma TV that I spent a fortune on.

I purchased the equivalent to this set the end of 2011. I purchased Sharps Extended warranty that was good through 2016. The first of September 2013 I called to get service as there was a red line down one side of this tv. The warranty company had told me that they could replace it or give me a check for $1600. I paid $2000. That was fair. After they talked to Sharp, I was offered a refurbished one with a 30 day warranty or $750. This is not fair and I will never purchase from Sharp Corporation again.
