Customers are delighted by the Carousel 1.1 Cu. Ft. Mid-Size Microwave's compact size and ease of use, frequently praising its affordability and powerful performance. However, some users noted issues with the interior light, noise level, and turntable functionality. While many appreciate its features and design, a shorter-than-ideal power cord was also a recurring concern.

After an extremely long time, my microwave finally stopped working. This new Sharp is just a bit larger, which was my only quibble about the old one. So far, this one is very easy to use and is also a step up in power. Nice, clean design, not too expensive, with plenty of special cooking features; recommended.

Excellent microwave for the price. Interior will accept a full-sized plate and at 1000w it cooks faster and more evenly than similar inexpensive microwaves. Unit features one-touch buttons for items cooked most commonly.

I really like this microwave. I've always had GE's, so I was nervous but it works great, takes up no more space than the old one, and it's quiet. One thing I'm not fond of is that the light only comes on when microwave is running. Makes it hard to see inside to clean. Two things I love are that if I want to cook for 1 minute I just punch 1 and the oven starts for 1 minute. I also like that there is a delay start feature. I didn't see that listed, and I had it on my old one, but it's there, once you read the manual on how to use it. So, apart from the light, which is even ok, since I can leave the door ajar to allow moisture to evaporate, without the light being on, I think this is a really nice oven for the price.

Actually I was looking for an smaller one, but I have to say this one is perfect size for my kitchen, it´s powerful and easy to use. They only thing I can complaint it´s that the electrical cord is too short.

The product arrived on schedule and was packaged well. It fits in a microwave cart with a few inches on each side. It performs as advertised. It heats food well and accommodates a l0 in. Dinner plate. The loud beeps when time is up are helpful if I'm in another room. I have not used the microwave to cook anything, only reheat or boil water. My only con at this time is the noise the roller makes as it revolves around. Will update if an issue arises. Have had the microwave for a month now. Good value for the cost.

The microwave is sized well and the wattage is perfect to cook things fast. A couple of items to be aware of:
1. There is no light inside the microwave.
2. The kitchen timer will not go past 59:59 minutes. You cannot put the timer anytime past that (60 or more). Also, you cannot have the timer going and cook something at the same time.
3. It actually is lighter in weight than previous models. When you push the button to open the door, it can slide on the counter.

This is exactly what I want in a microwave. Big enough for a large dish, but not too big a footprint for counter space. More than adequate power. Easy to use. And, not too many doodads and features I'll never use. The popcorn button is useless to me, but everything else is useful. Once you've had real popcorn made with coconut oil on the stovetop with that old movie theater flavor and mouth feel, microwave popcorn just doesn't cut it at all anymore.

I had a Sharp microwave that I absolutely loved that lasted somewhere around two decades before it needed to be replaced last year. The replacement (not a Sharp) I bought was a big dissapointment...it lasted just over one year before it literally started smoking...sadly, it doesn't surprise me these days when appliances barely make it past their warranty date.
I needed a replacement quickly and decided to try another Sharp. I've used this microwave daily for nearly two months now (more for heating than cooking; if I used it for cooking, I'd probably have opted for a microwave/convection oven combo) and this model serves my needs perfectly. It's well designed and easy to operate, plus it's a good size and looks great too!

Bought this one to replace my really old Sharp Carousel after it started rattling. So far so good with this one. Fits on the counter nice. Easy to follow instructions. The only draw back is no interior light when you open the door. It comes on during cooking only. I'd really like the light to turn on when I open the door to get my food.

Good size and power with more than enough features at a good price.
Minus: the carousel plate can get a little tipsy and is a little tricky to reset, but generally works fine;
window isn’t as clear as I would like for me to check on cooking (former G.E. was better), but overall, no issues with this Sharp.

This microwave was a good purchase. We recently moved into a new town home that does not have an over the range model and the previous tenants thought they were doing us a favor by leaving behind their loud, on its last leg sunbeam microwave. We could not deal with it. Additionally it kinda skeeve's me out to think about using a microwave (for my food) when i don't know its history. I am not much of a microwave user anyhow. This was not the cheapest option but also not the most expensive. It works well and i like that we were able to get it in white- since it matches our other appliances (we have a farm style kitchen).

Pros: Simple to use; great size and power; all around efficient microwave.
Cons: Cannot get the power feature to work so everything is at 100% power. The light only comes on when you start cooking and not when you open the door. Guess that is only a problem for a late night snack though!!

In Oct. 2017 I needed a new microwave in white that fit my microwave cart in my kitchen and this Sharp - Carousel 1.1 cu. ft. was one of the few I found anywhere that was the right size in White color I needed. I've purchased other Sharp microwaves that lasted for years. However, this Sharp microwave lasted less than two years before it started to spark in late July 2019. FYI: I use my microwave more than my stove/oven at least 3-5 times daily! Fortunately I had purchased a two year protection plan so Best Buy replaced my Sharp microwave last month/Aug. 2019 since I did love this model and the way it operated. I have again purchased their two year protection plan. However, if this Sharp microwave has a problem again before the warranty expires I would definitely go with a different make and model. I would highly recommend if you purchase this microwave you purchase some kind of protection plan.

I bought this microwave to replace a 2 year old GE built in microwave that came furnished with our newly built home. This microwave is better built than the one the builder put in that recently gave out. It would have cost us more to repair than to replace. All the features are easy to use and the display/buttons on the front are well built. It is an easy touch display with no hard pressing required as the previous GE model. This microwave is quiet and not loud while cooking which we do not miss from the previous GE model. The only issue we have with this microwave is the light, it is a bit dull but not a big issue. My family has always used GE products. All of our appliances are GE in our home. Keep up the great work GE

This microwave is fantastic, bigger and better then my old one (which died) and a lot easier to use, and at $99.99 with free delivery, got it on 32 hours, you can not go wrong. Definitely worth 5 stars.

I don't want to curse myself by saying this is great, but it's worked great. Bought it for mom who couldn't manage pull-handle on larger microwave anymore. Simple push button to open, push door to close. Easy enough to operate. Good size without taking up too much space on counter. Thank you Sharp for continuing to make white appliances (TV too!) after everyone started going gaga for black and then stainless and then brushed nickel - OY! (And thank you Best Buy for carrying it and having it in stock in store when I needed it.) Some people like that clean look that doesn't stick out like a sore thumb and doesn't show dust two seconds after you clean it!

I wanted a mid-sized microwave with a 30 second button and pre-programmed minute buttons. Of course, it also needed to work well. I looked at a lot of different microwaves and finally found this one that had just come out. It works perfectly, has the features I wanted, and actually takes up less space than my previous microwave. And it looks nice too!

At 1000W in a relatively small size this a sturdy, capable and flexible unit. Commands are intuitive, response is quick. Fits most microwaveable cookware easily. Only drawback, it’s loud. Overall strong for everyday use.
