The sharper Image Portable Steamer Sauna is a convenient and effective way to enjoy the healthy benefits of a sauna at home and at your own time. It was easy to setup without required tools. It offers nice relaxing steam experience. I've installed it in a corner in my garage. I think it is the perfect place where it could be installed. Floor is concrete, the steam generated won't cause any mold issues. Pros: Easy assembly: The sauna is straightforward to assemble and put together. It indeed requires very minimal effort. The tricky part is how to cover the frame with the insulation cloth. It may need larger area to do it easier. I was too lazy to take the car outside the garage. So, I got limited space but I was able to do it. Powerful steam: The steam output is impressive. It provides a satisfying sauna experience. Sitting chair: While the chair my be a little bit small, it is still comfortable for a 15-min sauna session. It is not recommended to stay longer. I believe the chair is helping keeping you alert while in sauna's session. As for Cons: It looks like the steam hose junction may be susceptible to issues in the long run due to its reliance on the external fabric insulation for support. A better design would be by placing this hose lower. Maybe at the floor level to relieve the stress. Recommendation: It is strongly recommended to use distilled water only since it will not cause mineral buildup and damage to the sauna. Also, distilled water won't make weird smells when turned into steam. I'd recommend buying if if you are looking to improve your health by benefiting of all the benefits that Sauna guarantees. The Sharper Image Portable Steamer Sauna is a great option for home sauna experience. It is easy to use, powerful steam and compact design make it a worthwhile investment. However, potential users should be aware of all the to-do and not-to-do when using a steam sauna.

The Sharper Image Steamer Sauna says it's portable ... and, I suppose, technically it is. But, once you put it together, it's very large! Much larger than I have anticipated. When I first received the Sauna I was a bit freaked out because there were no instructions anywhere to be found -- just a lot of pieces! But, rest-assured, they do include instructions. They are in a black booklet at the very bottom of the main steamer device and very hard to see through the steamer lid. Once I found them, it was a relatively easy setup although I would HIGHLY recommend having someone help you with getting the Sauna set up as it requires a bit of stretching and heft to get the steamer cover over the plastic tubs. Using the steamer is an absolute delight! It heats up very quickly and the seat, although it looks tiny, is actually quite comfortable. I was impressed with how well the Sauna retained the heat, too. Don't be alarmed if the first few times you use the Sauna if it smells kind of plasticky. The instruction booklet warns about this and by my third use, the smell of plastic was gone. My only worry or caveat - the location where the main steamer connects to the Sauna itself is very delicate since the skin of the sauna is very thin. I worry about that being a potential problem area, especially if you plan to move it around a lot. I would highly recommend following the instructions and unplugging the tube from the main steamer unit and the Sauna itself after each use -- and DEFINITELY if you are going to be moving it. Otherwise, aside from my concern about the connection from the steamer unit and the Sauna, this is an awesome product. I live in Minnesota and am looking forward to using this when the weather eventually gets frigid! Side note: Given how large the Sauna is, I would recommend building it in a relatively large space. In the pictures, you'll see I put it together in my basement family room. For use, I wouldn't recommend placing it on carpet. You can't see from the images, but I put down some inexpensive linoleum floor squares to prevent any moisture from being absorbed by the carpet. But, given the size of this Sauna, it didn't fit even in my main/master bedroom bathroom which is pretty large.

This portable steamer has been interesting to use over the past week or so. First of all, when looking at this steamer we need to keep in mind that it is made for smaller individuals. I am over 6 feet tall and trying to squeeze into this steamer has been tough. That aside, I would say that for most people that this is going to be functional but not perfect. The steam is fed from the humidifier into the steamer via a hose which in turn will fill up the "cabin". While inside the steamer you can either sit in the provide chair or stand/crouch. The chair approach is simply not practical as the chair is noticeably smaller than most lawn chairs. In terms of the steam itself, it does stay steamy for the most part but seeing as when you are inside that you need to zipper your self in, like a tent there is some leakage. In order for my to fully like this product I would have liked to see the design trap more of the steam that it currently does. Assembly was similar to a tent, build the frame, then throw on the "tent" portion. All in all this steamer is practical for at home use, there are some minor design issues but no huge deal breakers. This is definitely something that should be used for people shorter than 6 feet tall, but taller individuals can still benefit if they are ok being a tad uncomfortable.

I have to say I was skeptical and my wife thought I was nuts, she still thinks I am (but it's not because of the sauna purchase... lol). I have to say, it has been nothing short of a treat! The setup is simple yet incredibly effective, offering the perfect escape from the daily grind. Ease of Use Set up and using the sauna is super easy. No complicated controls or confusing instructions—just step inside and let the stress melt away. The Benefits I notice the relaxation effects almost immediately—muscle soreness fade, and my mind feels clearer. It is the perfect way to unwind after a long day. Plus, the sweat is incredibly detoxifying! I leave feeling rejuvenated, like I have just experienced a mini spa day. Conclusion I highly recommend this popup sauna if space is tight and you are not ready to build an outdoor oasis quite yet. It’s an affordable way to get an at home sauna experience, and the relaxation benefits are totally worth it. The only Con I have is it could be a bit bigger, but then again it is for confined spaces so I really don't have an argument there. Even though it’s only temporary, I absolutely enjoy it and I do whenever I need a break.

It definitely does what its supposed to.you will sweat a lot if uou follow the instructions. Essy to set up. For me its a little small and the included chair is too small. Im 72 and have had 24 surguries. Its hard for me to maneuver and sit fown without flopping into the seat. I've purchased a higher seat and that definitely helps.

This is the fourth “portable” sauna that I have owned. I prefer steam sauna over infrared, because many infrared devices have very high EMFs when tested independently. With steam, this isn’t the case—though it takes a little longer to warm up, you get all the benefits without the radiation. As a bonus, you can add essential oils for aromatherapy while steaming. This model from Sharper Image gave me high hopes that it would be the best of the bunch. There are good points to this sauna. It is very spacious, comes with a decent chair, and heats up quickly. The outer material feels strong and water resistant. I liked that the window has a removable cover, this allows you to vent the unit very quickly and easily. However, there are also things that are lacking. The polls used for assembly are made of plastic while the plastic is strong and seems durable, my preference is for metal that is less susceptible to warping or bending in high heat. I found the fabric of the unit to be a little bit too small for the poles. Per the manual, I did make sure that they were all fully inserted into the joints. The boiler unit has a maximum timer of 30 minutes. The unit takes about 10 to 12 minutes to heat up, so you have to reset the timer before you get in if you want to take longer than a 15 minute sauna. The manual actually says that 15 minutes is the recommended time, so that might not be all that bad. If you are looking for a steam sauna with a large cabin that heats up quickly and comes with all of the accessories that you will need to get started this is a great option!

I love it. Very easy build. Even though it says portable, i wouldn't recommend moving it about too much. The material is not the best quality, but it gets the job done. The how to use instructions read weird but very easy to use. The chair is small but it works. Like any steamer ever the steam doesn't start until you stop hearing the bubbling sound.(Takes about 5 minutes) Great after the gym or if you're congested (just add a lil eucalyptus or peppermint essential oil to the diffuser.) If you do use essential oils in the diffuser 2 to 3 drop max. I learned the hard way. Great self car

THIS THING IS AMAZING, EASY TO USE AND QUICK PERFORMANCE. I FOLLOWED THE INSTRUCTIONS OF OPERATION AND IN A SHORT TIME THE SAUNA WAS READY TO USE. VERY USE TO SETUP AND BRING A FOLDING CHAIR TO SIT INSIDE WITH IS A GREAT FEATURE. I MEASURE 6'2" TALL AND 275LBS, AND I FIT GREAT. I EVEN PUT IN A REGULAR SIZE FOLDING CAMPING CHAIR FOR MY COMFORT.

Very nice sauna. The chair it comes with is a but uncomfortable, and takes a fee minutes to heat up. Id recommend keeping it in a warm room temp area, not a basement.

Honestly, I was skeptical about how well this Dayana would actually work and I’m so surprised by how well it works. I think it’s so worth the price for an easy convenient at home sauna, just a quick and easy 15 minute warm up and it’s ready to jump in! It’s a must for your home if your into health and wellness. It’s so nice and relaxing and I can notice a difference after a workout if I go into the sauna or not- and let me say whenever I don’t go in the sauna I’m sore the next day. Overall no complaints just super happy with it.

Loving this item. It was fairly easy to set up and works well. I used a humidity/temperature meter within it and had a score of around 105+ degrees Fahrenheit and around 95% humidity. The chair is a little small, but that can be changed out im sure. I cant ask for a brtter simple at-home sauna method. It has a timer up to 30 minutes with automatic shutoff and a heat level up to 9. It takes some time to heat up, but thats understandable.

Couldn't find the manual at first, built it wrong. After looking everywhere and online, the manual was in the steamer basket!! After that, everything made sense. Doesn't get too hot but definately does the job. Setup was a breeze, cleaning, air dry and wipe down. Use it for about 15 minutes, took 30 minutes to get to temp.

I bought this sauna with high expectations based on the known quality of Sharper Image. While I was initially disappointed by the mild fraying when assembled, the actual sauna actually works VERY well.

Totally satisfied with this product. I would recommend this steamer to my friends and family.

Steamer is a little tall for sitting, and too short for standing. Size is hard to heat appropriately with the included steamer, and looks like it should fit 2, but really doesn't. Overall, it's ok

This Sharper Image Steamer Sauna Portable Spa has me sweating like I just saw my ex at Thanksgiving dinner. I step inside, and within minutes, it’s like the sauna knows all my secrets and is steaming them out one bead of sweat at a time. The folding chair? Absolute royalty vibes—I call it my "Sweat Throne." Great price, perfect size, and just enough steam to make me question my life choices (in a good way). Highly recommend if you want to feel rejuvenated and slightly scandalous at the same time. 10/10 steamy fun.
