Cumberbatch is no Basil Rathbone, but he makes an entertaining Sherlock. Well written, well acted, visually superb, and better than any detective series on American TV.

I started watching this on the BBC and a great version of a modern day Sherlock Holmes. I ended up buying all four seasons on blu-ray and recommended.

love this show. it is not very often that this item is in stock when on sale. would love it more if there were more additional making of features. the price was great.

This series only has three episodes, but each one is an hour and half long, which makes each episode like a movie. Casting is great. A very young Cumberbatch plays Sherlock as not very likeable, but he is a genius. I loved Martin Freeman as Watson. Enjoyed this season enough to purchase Season 2.

If you are a Sherlock Holmes Fan and a Benedict Cumberbatch Fan, this is the Best of two Worlds. Excellent storeis and performances. BBC has a hit!

This quickly became one of my favorite shows of all time. Cumberbatch is the best Sherlock Holmes I've ever watched, and Martin Freeman is perfect as his partner.

British version of modern Sherlock Holmes series. Great characters and fun action. My wife and I are hooked. We will watch the entire series.

I loved this series on PBS and have been looking for the DVDs of all three seasons for a good price. These DVD set fit the bill!
