This series is by far the best adaptation of Sherlock Holmes for the small screen. Holmes and Watson are believable and endearing. This programming is launching a new generation of Sherlockians upon the world, and I can only hope many will find the adventure when discovering Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's original stories through their reading. There are 60 stories out there so be sure to give them a try!!!

I love this series. Grew up reading the books and watching any Sherlock Holmes movie or tv show available. That it is going through another revival of shows, am in heaven. This series is such an enjoyment and I love the by-play between Sherlock and Watson. That the series has been updated for todays technology and world issues is great, while still staying true to the basics of Doyle's vision.

Third season of Sherlock begins with a reveal of the events following the cliff hanger end of season two. It's very well done , no spoilers. We are introduced to the fiancé of John Watson and then off to the current adventure . My only complaint is there are only three episodes this season , way too short IMO . The three episodes are very enjoyable and all together completes a great story line.

The great chemistry between lead actors, Cumberbatch and Freeman, continues in Season 3. Writing is still witty and intriguing. Can't say I love the "resolution" of the Season 2 cliffhanger in episode 1, but I tend to like things black and white versus gray. The character of Mary has been a fabulous addition to the show. Love that Sherlock is shown to be a bit more human/emotional this season.

I have never been much of a reader or movie see-er of Sherlock Homes material but when I just happened to chance a view of this show, I was hooked. It started off as a curosity because I knew something about the actors but this show, shone them in a wonderfully new light and their re-interperations of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's work was simply amazing. I can't wait for the next season to begin.

I love this show because only the Brits can make Sherlock Holmes come to life better than any one else. Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman are perfect for this show. The plots and scripts are intelligent and not stuffy like other versions have been in the past. I like the modern twist they have incorporated into it all. I only wish there were more than 3 episodes a season

3rd series begins with a complete explanation of how the cliffhanger from series 2 was done. I was amazed. Old characters and new characters provide very interesting aspects to each story. The last one is a complete surprise that I could never imagine of Sherlock Holmes, Watson yes, but Sherlock no! There will be no disappointment in this series 3.

Having watched Seasons 1 and 2, I waited for Season Three and was not disappointed. The acting and plot lines are great. The actors have great chemistry and play off of each other, making this not only a great dramatic series, but lots of comedic moments also. Benedict Cumberbatch makes this series for me as I enjoy him as an actor. Can't wait for Season Four!!

One of the guiltiest pleasures on television is the BBC's hit show SHERLOCK. Superior production value and incredible acting make this must-see viewing. Whether you are fan of the classic mysteries or stylishly innovative character pieces, this one has something for everyone who is invested in the time they spend while in front of the flatscreen.

The story lines are very good. The show is full of surprises & suspense. I like the interactions of all the characters in the show. They meld together very well & make the show very interesting. You have to pay close attention to what is going on or you could miss a clue or clues. The show engages your intellect & keeps you glued to your chair.

Sherlock is one of my all-time favorite episodes, and this season doesn't disappoint. If you're a fan of the original Sherlock Holmes stories or a Doctor Who fan, I would highly recommend you watch this series. Each episode is movie length, so don't let the small amount of episodes per season keep you away from giving it a shot.

The acting and writing of this series are the best! Benedict Cumberbatch, Martin Freeman, Steven Moffett and Mark Gatiss are all masters at their crafts. Each episode can stand alone but it is much better if you watch them in order. Since each is about 1-1/2 hrs long it's like watching a mini movie. I'm only sorry that it isn't on more often.

It took forever, but Sherlock Holmes is back! Sadly, if it's been a while you may want to rematch the first two seasons, but of course that's not really all that bad! If you enjoy the Sherlock Holmes stories you will love this re-imagining of it. Great writing and acting. Hilarious and riveting and even a little tear jerking at moments.

I love this series. The story lines are great current-day updates to ideas originally introduced by A Conan Doyle and the original Sherlock Holmes series. Likewise, characters have been updated but provide great hat tips to the originals for those familiar with the original written works or early film adaptations. Thoroughly enjoyable.

Although the third season is not as engaging or innovative as Season 1 and 2 this third outing is still well worth watching. The acting remains uniformly good with the by-play between Homes & Watson still fun to watch. Of the episodes by far the most interesting is #3 His Last Vow. This one keeps us guessing and provides several effective surprises along the way. Video & Audio quality is excellent (HD on Blu-ray) and production values are superior. Again, not as groundbreaking as the first two seasons but a recommended purchase for fans and a definite rental for the casual viewer. We enjoyed it and think our money & time well spent.

Finally Season 3! Never thought it would get here. I bought the blue ray as soon as it was available as well as the other 2 seasons because it is just that good. Good twists and turns and so looking forward to the next season. I hope these 2 now very famous actors will continue to do Sherlock because they are perfect together.

The reimagined characters of Sherlock Holmes and Dr. John Watson are great. I love the reference to the classic cannon of Doyle stories and how they relate to modern times. It's a great series and I wish there were more, sooner. I'm happy that the cast intends to continue in their roles for more Shlock episodes in the future.

Sherlock Holmes is a hard character to play. But the plot was excellent. It had a sense of justice. Even tho it was different it stayed with a central theme of the old series. And with this version Dr. Watson is given his respect of his accomplishments along with Sherlock Holmes. I give it an A for performance.

No spoilers here. Just know that if you like the series you will love this season. There are some odd issues, like the final event of the last episode, and an uncharacteristic act by Sherlock, but the characters grow as they should, and the story continues to follow the general Doyle template without rehashing a twice beaten story. I gave it only four stars because of the aforementioned plot concerns, that it is not my favorite season, and that there was no way to give it a 4.5. I may be biased though, as I am a life long fan of the Doyle stories, and absolutely love this series. Enjoy.
