I bought this as a gift to my parents. Of course, because of the excellent casting and writing on the part of the staff, I ended up watching myself. Truly enjoy the series. Would highly recommend.

This one surprised me a little bit at the beginning. I liked the time difference and would love to see the cast in more gaslight London era stories. It also served as a good tie-over from the previous season of Sherlock. Expect twists and surprises.

I kept thinking this was some one off special episode and then crazy great things started happening! There are so many asides and references to the original Sherlock Holmes stories...then towards the end...well see for yourself. This is great stuff!

Sherlock never disappoints, and neither do Martin Freeman and Benedict Cumberbatch, these two could read the phone book and play off each other and still make it interesting. This episode is quite unique as well and a true gem for Sherlock fans.

Sherlock is, as usual, in top form. Continuing the storyline from the previous season, Holmes forces himself to solve the riddle of previous instances by venturing into the past. A top quality adventure, just like the previous three seasons.

This is a resoundingly entertaining feature-length special after the third series. Set mostly in the Victorian era where the original canon took place, the creators and stars have a jolly good time, which comes across onscreen.

The modern-day Sherlock and Dr. Watson return to their Victorian age roots in this surreal entry into the series. As it has many anachronisms and inside references to other events in the series, it's probably best enjoyed by true devotees of the show. But beginners will enjoy it if just for the nonstop twists.

Modern day Sherlock & Watson in the Victorian era from whence they came, well it was wonderful. Filled with twists and turns, fantastical deductions, spectacular writing and acting. It's the full thing. Watch and enjoy.

Saw this on TV, and decided to buy it on blu-ray once it was released. Glad I did. The disc comes with a plethora of bonus features, which are about as long as the feature itself. If you love the series, get this disc!

This special brings back the original theme of Sherlock Holmes to the TV show Sherlock. Cumberbach for fills his characters desires while promoting the perfect blend between the modern an old-style Sherlock Holmes.

Okay, this film is one of the best Sherlock's ever created. It's set in Victorian London for a traditional Sherlock story. But! Without giving it away, there are ties to the show, it's not JUST a movie! AMAZING! A+!

This is a good entry into the Sherlock series that takes place during the Victorian era, which was the setting of the original stories by Arthur Conan Doyle. They tied the story back to the other episodes of Sherlock, but I almost wish that they had left it as a standalone. The atmosphere was well done.

It's ironic that we look a Sherlock Holmes story set in the Victorian era as unusual, but there we are. It's a lot of fun, and the recreation of that time period is well done. Creepy, atmospheric, and very entertaining.

Without spoilers, let me just say that I thought this stand-alone episode was an excellent entry in the BBC Sherlock canon. I'm glad they made it available on it's own instead of waiting to include it with Season 4.

The Holmes-Watson duo played their roles the best to date. I liked to see Watson contributing more to the investigation than previously. Enjoy the mystery, it's a good one that'll keep you guessing.

BBC has been releasing an updated modern version of Sherlock Holmes with Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman. This episode goes back to the late 19th century and is more like the regular perios Holmes movies. It is not as good as the modern releases but still a satisfying release.

I love Sherlock Holmes and this was an excellent entry into the Sherlockian lexicon. Benedict Cumberbatch is a good high functioning sociopath. I hope to see more. I especially enjoyed the extras.
