I was looking for a music only system and I found what I needed in this system. There are a lot of theater surround sound systems out there but I feel that they do not give you the sound that you can get from a stereo receiver. I use this system for music only and some times I like to turn it up a bit. If you have a good set of speakers to go with it , it sounds great. I replaced a system that cost more and as far as I can tell it sounds just as good. I hope it will last longer then my old system did.

Hooked up to 2 large-grand old MIRAGE speakers.,,, and an antenna for local music station as in a difficult reception area, both house and location....fine sound, etc...
the fault is the accompanying-purchased antenna was very weak...sy

Nice Stereo Reciever. Right price, better sound than I expected. Few features I thought it should have like an MP3 connection would be nice. But otherwise good equipment. Easy set up.

Love this stereo receiver. Wanted a pure stereo receiver to hook up my audio-technica turntable to. With my 4 polk loud speakers it sounds like a dream. Old school sound with 400 watts per channel. Very easy to set up too.

Very pleased with the unit. Had a couple of issues but all worked out. I had two turntables a Sanyo and a JVC which was a problem. The Sanyo performed well but will need to invest in a $10 belt.
My infinity speakers are also performing well too.

Got this receiver to drive two sets of Polk Audio bookshelf speakers. The previous amp would overload and shut down at a volume level louder than normal speech. The Polk speakers are rated at 8 ohms each. The dual A & B channel amps on the Sherwood take the load without problem. While I may not use it much the dual zone capability is a nice feature as you can listen to radio in Zone 1 and CD in Zone 2..

The unit works fine. The remote has only a 6ft range. Zaps battery power from the two triple AAA batteries and does not function at all after two days use. I would not have purchased the product if I had known the remote was going to be a problem.

First receiver quit working after 10 minutes of use. I took it into BB and they replaced it with no problem. The new receiver is working fine. I'd give it a 5 star if it wasn't for the initial failure.

Bought over the phone. Jesse, the tech guy, explained everything to me and offered to assist me if I had trouble hooking up TV, DVD, CD and speakers. It arrived within 3 days, intact. Spent 3 hours identifying which speaker wires controlled each speaker as my house is pre-wired for indoor and outdoor sound.

I was in need of a 2nd amplifier that can be used for multiple zones. This is the best in that class for that purpose and also have enough power for all zones.

Order this receiver online. Needed a receive to put in an old stereo cabinet from the 60's. Needed a receiver that was 15 inches or less. Size measurements are incorrectly stated in specifications.
