Shin Chan is a very funny show, but I'm going to assume that most people who are going to purchase this already know that. What makes this release really shine are all the extras that the good people at FUNimation threw on here. They have the voice actors' auditions, which are fun to hear because some of their real voices sound nothing like their characters. They have some additional takes/alternate lines/outtakes which can be hilarious. (They must have driven the censors crazy) Commentaries an any DVD are a plus, and there are two here. The most interesting thing though, is the Enchman clipshow that they put together. Basically, it's just all the scenes of Enchman edited together into one episode, but what makes it stand out is that they didn't dub it. They wrote subtitles that stay truer to the original, and really point out the changes they made to make Shin Chan appealing to American viewers.

This is the funniest show ever to appear on Adult Swim (I realize this is a bold statement) and it needs your help to stay on the air. Although it has a cult-like following, as with many shows late at night, it remains relatively obscure. Those who do watch the show know how funny it is. Starring a vulgar little boy named Shin Chan, there is no line that this show won't cross, and you got to love that about it. Hopefully Funimation will continue to make this show, because its loss to the Cartoon Network lineup would not go unnoticed.

This show is amazing! I watch it all the time and I still think that it is hilarious. I'm not big into anime, but a friend of mine introduced me to this show - and I am very glad that he did. Can't wait for the second part to come out!

This is one the greatest comedies I have seen in years. It is like a Japanese South Park. Be warned this show is not for kids, but anyone who loves some adult humor and a few good bathroom jokes will love Shin Chan.

Trust me, at first when i saw this i wasnt quite sure about it. But then i kept watching. And i just cant seem to get enough. It is A very funny and unique cartoon. If you like Robot chicken or anything out of the ordinary, alittle fowel mouthed, And hilariuose. I suggest you give Shin chan A look.
