Don’t expect Pirates of the Caribbean graphics or effects, but this movie has a great, classic storyline. I believe based on a Nortic Tale.

Great for the whole family!! A little like Swiss Family Robinson!!

This is a wonderful family movie. It involves family, friendships, and growing up to be responsible and inventive. My kids and I thoroughly enjoyed this movie; it was exciting, funny and suspenseful. The scenery is beautiful. The story is of a boy who leaves as a Captains 'boy' to earn enough money to save the family homestead after his father is injured and can no longer work. He becomes shipwrecked with two other young people, and they have to deal with a pirate who comes to the island to reclaim his treasure. The end has a twist that all will enjoy.

Shipwrecked is a great family film that starts with a young boy heading off to a life on the sea to save the family farm. Along the way he encounters loyal mates, a love for the sea, a stowaway orphan girl, pirates, a shipwreck and a climactic ending involving stolen pirate booty and pirates on the rampage. This is good clean famliy fun that has plenty of plot developments that can lead to great family discussions later.

Shipwrecked is a great family movie. if you like treasure island then you'll like Shipwrecked just as much.
