In the wake of the success of Rocky Horror Picture Show. Richard O'Brien tried to write a cult movie. It was a failure as a cult movie, but, in my opinion, a success as a rock musical. The problem with the movie was that they didn't open it in the theaters, they opened it at Midnight, on double bills with RHPS or on Friday while RHPS played on Saturday. In my opinion, the music in this hits a home run. Jessica Harper's "Looking for Trade" is just plain amazing as a torch song, by any standard. Typical musical music is just plain insipid, this is anything but insipid. Why should you see it? If you are an RHPS fan, you need to see to see where the movie led. If not, you should see it for the music and to see a bit of where O'Brien's mind was at after RHPS.

I love this movie so much! I also am a fan of Rocky Horror Picture Show. I can see where a major Brad And Janet fan where you could be disappointed but this had such a fun and poppy beat as well as a really cool and freaky story line. I think people either love or hate this movie and I for one love it. I received the autograph of Jessica Harper and was so excited to see how nice she was to her fans...... Shock Treatment has a fan in me! I just have to buy the soundtrack to blare in my car especially since I know all the words! Buy this one!

I'm a huge Rocky Horror Picture Show fan. I had recieved this movie as a gift, and it's the only gift that I want returned. A different Brad and Janet are used, and there is hardly any referance by them about what happened in RHPS. It was very hard to follow the story line. I kept watching it, in hopes that it would get better....it didn't.
