They started as metalcore and delved into a modern thrash metal sound. It works well in this album. This album shows a surface of their talent and ability, almost as if to say they definitely have a lot more to offer by mixing what they began as and what influenced their path. They do well with both for a great portion of this album.

I was having a hard time finding the music Cd's that I wanted. Nothing available in-store anywhere. Then it hit me... try a Best Buy online order. Sure enough, Best Buy carried the hard to find Heavy Metal Cd's I was looking for. Thanks guys!

I will likely order more hard to find cds, I have ordered before on other store but the items I'm looking for were not available.

Trivium are back from The Crusade with vengeance on this new album entitled SHOGUN. I garauntee you if you listen to this whole album 3 times you will not be able to stop listening to it. My favortie song would have to be a toss up between Throes of Pardition, and Torn Between Scylla and Charibdis. I would've bought the cd even if those were the only two tracks that were good. The only track that is a little weak is He Who Spawned The Furies, but even that track is pretty good. Overall Trivium have grown so much since they started and i can see it only getting better from here.

I struggled to find the right words to describe the newest album of one of my favorite bands. I am torn on whether I really like this album or not. It is almost like they spent too much time in Nashville listening to country music while recording this album. What I mean by that is that there is alot of slow introductions that makes it hard for the songs to grab you. But if you have the patience and you listen to the album all the way through, you will find what you expected out of, in my opinion, the best metal band out there right now. What strikes me about the album is how they are always changing and evolving. You can definitely see how they have changed as a band since their previous albums. Buy it and see for yourself.

This is the second album I bought of theirs. I bought Shogun first when it was first released on a whim. Anyway I really like this one too. intro tracks are what make or break a CD. This makes it, along with the tracks following it. Def. check it out.

One of Trivium's best CDs yet!! Totally worth the money!! Best songs are Kirsute Gomen, Down From the Sky and Into the Mouth of He** We March.
