Very nicely packaged and charge up and hold that charge for a long time. The case is a nice size and fits well in the hand as well as in pockets or bag. Very sleek looking and the pairing and instructions were very clear. These fit so nicely I almost forget they are there - no discomfort from in ear plastic or rubber plugs. Running or walking doesn't jostle them loose and they look cool. The sound is great on calls, music or podcasts - bass when I want it, but clear mids and treble as well. I know noise cancellation was all the rage for a long time and when it came out it was the new thing. The ability to still hear surroundings clearly is awefully nice too. I can hear the door bell, someone coming up on my left on a bike, or just people in the house trying to get my attention. In a nutshell, these earbuds are very comfortable, they have excellent sound clarity without being tinny, and the ability to still experience ambient environmental sounds is actually a huge benefit - I can enjoy a podcast or some music and still be aware of what is happening around me.

Shokz OpenDots ONE Earbuds are a great way to listen to music and take calls. Highlights: . They are ultra light weight They have great responses. You can still hear great lows and mids while not being deep in your ear canal. Battery life is more than adequate. Review: The first thing I have to mention is these are definitely the most comfortable earbuds I have ever worn. Sound quality is outstanding as well, I worried that the low frequencies would be lost because of the open ear concept, they are not. It is great to have this responsiveness while still being able to be present in your surroundings. The controls are perfect, being able to pause/play, answer/end and volume up.down controls. A single finger double tap - pauses/plays media or answers/ends cals A two finger pinch on the barrel of the right earbud - turns volume up. A two finger pinch on the barrel of the left earbud - turns volume down. Battery life is robust and the case supports wireless charging. I would recommend this to family and friends.

As a fan of Shokz, this was a huge letdown. The sound quality is decent for open-ear buds, but the comfort just isn't there. The drivers press against your ear canals, and you really start to feel it after about an hour. The most frustrating part is the controls. Why can’t I customize them beyond just the third option? The double-tap and triple-tap are locked to the same function on both earbuds, and the third option only gives you a small list of commands to choose from. That leaves you with very limited control over your media, and to make it worse, the touch inputs are inconsistent. You often have to try multiple times just to perform a simple action. Also, there’s no way to have volume control and skip/previous track at the same time. Adjusting the earbuds usually leads to accidental inputs, which gets annoying fast. Honestly, the Soundcore Aerofit Clips are far better for $40 less ($70 less if you use the code ENJOY20 on Soundcore’s website). In terms of comfort, features, and sound quality, the Aero Clips are the better choice if you're into this new “clip” style.

Hi Josh- Shokz here! We're sorry to hear this has been your experience, and we greatly appreciate your feedback! The controls for switching songs and continuous volume adjustment can’t be set up simultaneously because the OpenDots ONE is designed not to distinguish between the left and right ears. Due to technical limitations, we currently can’t customize touch controls for a single earbud. Our product team is actively working on finding a better solution. We understand your needs and understand that this can be inconvenient for many users. To skip tracks or activate the voice assistant, you can customize Long Press control in the Shokz App. Please subscribe to us and stay tuned for further updates, and we’ll inform you as soon as we have a better solution. Thank you for your understanding and support. AfterShokzCHT

I upgraded my open fit 2 pair for this new model and for some reason after a month using them the charging case does not charge them fully. I put them inside and plug the case to the wall and when I'm ready to use them next morning the battery percentage will say than there's only 20% left (which is the percentage i left it at tge night before) It will also give you weird noises like it's trying to reconnect and it disconnects and tries to reconnect on one side then the other will go to sleep, i mean the manual has no instructions on that part but i guess it's part of it behavior while wearing them. The base sounds great but the battery doesn't last that long and it will not be on standby the full 40 hours as advertised nor full 7 hours operating constantly.

Hi there- Shokz here! We're sorry to hear this has been your experience. The recommended charging time is about 2 hours (for wireless charging is about 4 hours), it could be a manufacturer defect. We suggest to proceed with a replacement or return the earbuds.

If you’re using a wireless charging pad, please make sure to remove the protective case and place the earbuds in the center of the wireless charging pad with the indicator light on.

If you need further assistance or would like to proceed with a replacement or return, please reach out to our Customer Happiness Team or visit our website. Thank you for your understanding and support. AfterShokzCHT

Mine had an issue I had the (grey) But honestly beighish color not grey.i returned. Id say a bit pricey too. I went back to my openfit. Consider bringing price down and i may reconsider buying again. These were like wearing earrings over your ear. Made them painful. I am going to try tbe bose to see how theres fit. And volume.

These hardly worked. The volume was low and connection a bit shoddy. Maybe they are fake like the airpods I bought from Best Buy a few months ago. I don't know why I keep thinking Best Buy represents good products.

Hi there- Shokz here! We're very sorry to hear this has been your experience. We highly recommend ensuring that the latest firmware version has been updated via the Shokz app for the best experience with your OpenDots ONE. We also recommend resetting your Shokz.

There is also a phone setting that may resolve any low volume issues.
      1. Turn Off Volume Limit Settings
For iPhone: Go to Settings > Sounds & Haptics > Headphone Safety, switch off the Reduce Loud Audio feature.
For Samsung: Go to Settings > Sounds and Vibration > Volume, click More, and turn off Media Volume Limit.
For other Android phones: Go to the Bluetooth Settings on the phone, find the headphones and make sure that the Absolute Volume feature is switched on for them.

If the issue persists, all Shokz come with a two-year warranty. Please contact our Customer Happiness Team so we can assist you further or visit our website directly to submit a warranty claim. Thank you! AfterShokzCHT

I really like open ear clip on earbuds. To me, they are very comfortable and give me the perfect combination of listening to my music but still allowing me to be connected to the outside world. I've seen various manufacturers jump on this open ear clip on earbud design and was excited to try this out. I'm familiar with the Shokz brand name but this is the first time being an owner of their products. The packaging wasn't too surprising. Inside the recyclable box you obviously get the earbuds in their case and a short USB-C to USB-C cable. I was pleased to find no plastic battery saver tab that I would need to pull off of the earbuds before first use/charging. Also, included in the box is a small stack of papers that include warranty, quick use and normal legal stuff. Some quick facts: you can charge the case using USB-C cable where the port is on the bottom, or you can charge wirelessly. You get 10 hours of audio on the earbuds and the case gives you 30 more hours of charge time. In a first for me, the earbuds can be used inter-changeably. In other words, the right or left earbud can fit on your right or left ear. This was a little bit of a selling point for me. Just a few years ago, some earbuds were not true wireless. You couldn't just listen to one earbud without having the primary earbud in. These OpenDot One earbuds are truly wireless and can be used interchangeably. In fact, there are no markings on the earbuds to indicate left or right. But I kinda wish they did mark them in some way for two reasons. In some immersive audio experiences you want things to pan from left to right or vice versa. If you don't have the correct earbud in the correct ear, it can throw things off. Second, there is a "Find my Earbuds" feature where you can ping either your left or right earbud. It's only a minor inconvenience if you ping the wrong one first, but you do have a 50/50 chance. I have a couple problems with the overall packaging. 1. The case top and bottom are rounded. Sometimes I don’t want to lay the case down, I want it to sit up and you can barely do that because there is a USB-C port on the bottom so you have to balance it just so to get it to sit. However, if you open the case, it won't sit up anymore because it's no longer balanced. 2. In order to use the Shokz app to apply a firmware update or adjust the earbuds, you have to register using the serial number. That serial number is on the back of the Warranty Card inside the original packaging. I almost tossed out all the packaging before setting up the app, so I would have been out of luck with that. Speaking of the Shokz app, I have a couple more nit-picks on that. The earbuds come with Dolby Audio turned off by default. You have to go into the Shokz app to turn it on. Similar with the Multi-Point Bluetooth Pairing. Again, you have to go into the Shokz app to turn it on. Pairing these earbuds to my phone was very easy without the Shokz app. Open the case, press and hold the round button on the back of the case until the indicator light on the front of the case flashes between colors and then you can go into Bluetooth pairing on your phone it was recognized quickly. These Shokz OpenDot One earbuds are very nice. They have just the right amount of spring tension to hold the earbuds around my ear without my outer ear feeling pinched. I can shake my head and I feel like they are secure and don’t move. The audio is great. The Shokz app allows me to customize the sound experience. I've played some music for hours and I don't feel any fatigue. Also, within the Shokz app you can learn about the touch controls. There are touch controls that are default and then there is one customizable touch (two finger long press). I would have liked the ability to customize more of the touch controls, but what I have now is fine. It will take me a little bit more time to adjust to these touch controls, but in the meantime, I'll just adjust it on my phone. Overall, these OpenDot One earbuds are very comfortable and deliver great sound. They've quickly become my first pick earbuds for day-to-day use.
