The best earbuds I've puchased in a while. Great sound, stay on my ear, sit outside the ear canal, not uncomfortable at all. Great battery life and great to wear during workouts. Very pleased with these and I've been through about 3 pair in the last year and a half that just wouldn't stay in my ear. I would buy these again, 5 stars for me.

After trying many open-ear options, I settled on these. I was able to wear them for 14 hours at a time with no fatigue, the audio quality aided by Dolby spatial audio was great, and the bass was acceptable. I was starting to feel like I wanted a bit more bass, I listen to a lot of electronic music and there's a massive difference between these and my in-ear Sony buds, and then the OpenFit pro released. The Pro just does everything these do but better, and more. Though after 2 days with the Pro, I think the 2+ might be a bit more comfortable for all day use. And compared to the Soundcore AeroFit pro, the Shokz OpenFit 2+ are essentially identical, maybe the Shokz has a very minor lead in bass level, but for the price difference it makes the Soundcore a really competitive option, especially if bass isn't as much of a concern. I also prefer the color options on the 2+, I loved the steel blue

Only giving this a 4 star because sometimes it lags connecting via bluetooth. Overall, great quality and sound. It’s very comfortable to wear. I use it for work meetings and it has great clarity and great for working out too. I would purchase again.

Absolutely love the Shokz OpenFit 2+. The open-ear design is incredibly comfortable. I can wear them all day and barely notice them. Sound quality really surprised me for open-ear earbuds. Music is clear, well balanced, and great for both music and calls. They’re super easy to set up, connect instantly, and the controls are intuitive. Battery life easily gets me through a full day without worry. Overall, this is a premium, well-designed product that delivers comfort, great sound, and ease of use. Highly recommend!

I absolutely love these Earbuds! They allow for great quality clear sound at a great volume while still being able to hear what is going on around me. They have an amazing battery life and an exceptional range. I use them for gaming on my PC and also for streaming and when I have to step away to take the dog outside out back, I can still hear everything perfectly clear at a range of easily 50 plus feet and through walls. And they are comfortable to wear all day and don't hurt my ears or give me a headache.

Absolutely love these headphones. I have even forgot I had them on at times . Phone calls are great and people have told me calls sound no different than being on the phone alone . I have used them all day and they still had juice left . Also the app and being able to change the sound with the equalizer is great ...

Absolutely love these!! I did quite a bit of research on head sets before this purchase and I was skeptical at first but boy do I love these! The sound is clear and I don’t have the ear fatigue like I did wearing iPod pros for extended periods! They hold a charge way longer and the case recharges these to the max fairly quickly without constant recharging of the case itself!

The best open-ear earphones on the market

Verdict: I have tried several open-ear earphones in the last two years, some with open drivers and some with bone conduction. Hands down, the Shokz OpenFit 2+ delivers the most comfort, secure fit, and excellent sound out of the last four sets I tested. They are probably not for you if you are frequently in loud environments and need to block noise, but if you want increased awareness of your surroundings while benefiting from great sound, the OpenFit 2+ is a winner! Initial impressions. They are very light! After pausing music for a while, I started to look for them on my desk, forgetting that they were still on my ears! I love that it doesn’t matter which buds you place back in the case first, they always fit. I was a bit confused about setup until I found the quick start guide; in short, place the buds in the case and then hold the button in the case until the light blinks, then you can connect through Bluetooth on your phone. The package includes a USB-C cable. It’s not clear what is the Ingress Protection (IP) rating; I assume IP55 (splash, sweat and dust resistance). Sound. At low volume, sound is not good, mostly because it’s harder to hear with ambient noise. At higher volumes, sound is very impressive: satisfying lows, balanced mids, and effective highs. Dolby Sound is wonderful with some types of music, drastically improving the clarity and the low-mid-high mix. I really appreciate bass boost, which I use on every earphones / headphones. As expected, with external noise, you will immediately lose the mids, and then probably all the sound, until the noise is gone. I am impressed that the “sweet spot” for the sound driver is quite generous; I usually just throw the earbuds on without having to carefully place them in a certain spot, and then they just fit where they are supposed to, and sound drivers are aligned where they have to be. App. I always care about the capabilities of apps because they can significantly expand the capabilities and convenience of earphones / headphones. The Shokz app is good (not great). It’s intuitive and front-loads all the important stuff: battery levels, equalizer (option for Dolby Audio), multipoint pairing, control customization, microphone noise cancellation, and additional settings. Additional settings notably include “Find My Earbuds” to play a sound that gets progressively louder so that you may be able to hear and find a missing earbud. If you are in close proximity, you will probably hear the high pitch, but if you don’t know where they are at all, this feature will not help you find the earphones. The app would be better if it provided greater ability to customize controls, automatic pausing of music when the earbuds are removed (may not be possible with open ear concept), maybe add wind detection through the microphone to automatically increase sound a bit, etc. Running / Exercising. I took these on an 11-mile run to truly test how they held up. First and foremost, they hardly moved during the nearly two-hour run. I touched the right earbud once to position it better. This is a HUGE improvement from my regular in-ear earbuds, which I have to push every 10 minutes on my right ear because the bud is slipping out from sweat. I ran in some rain drizzle, and this seemed fine for the OpenFit 2+. I couldn’t find the IP rating, but I assumed it was at least the same or better than the OpenFit 2 (IP55, splash, sweat and dust resistance). The open ear concept is nice for trail running; you can hear your footsteps, your breathing, and comments from other runners. It is also safer for hazards; I actually think that these earphones saved me from a collision with a bicyclist… I was checking my watch instead of looking up (yes, my fault), started to drift left on the trail, then heard someone yell, looked up, and got out of the way of the bicycle. If I was wearing my in-ear earbuds (with ANC), I don’t think I would have heard the warning. The downsides of open-ear are that when you hit windy portions or on windy days, you will lose most of the audio, or at least all the mids (can still hear bass and highs). I also ran pass a lawnmower… no way to hear the music unless you crank up the sound (too) high. I would not use these to run along a busy road because the benefits of hearing your surroundings would turn into a significant annoyance. Controls are very effective while running, with the physical buttons easy to find and press, and eliminating the accidental activations I have on my regular touch-controlled earbuds. Despite my reservations with high-noise areas, I plan to switch to Shokz OpenFit 2+ for all my trail running. I LOVE (1) not having to think about the earbuds falling out, (2) being able to hear other runners, (3) hearing music most of the time, and hearing required audio cues when I need, and (4) having great sound with great comfort. Features. I love the multipoint pairing capability because I can connect both my phone and my smart watch (for running with just watch and earbuds). Wireless charging is very convenient for us since we have wireless charging docks around the house. The equalizer and Dolby Audio are really well done on these earphones. You have the option to activate smart assistants if you want to use those from the earphones (see customization of controls). Things I love: - Perfectly comfortable; I can wear these for hours on end – exceptional! - Remarkable sound, especially for open-ear earbuds - The case can charge wirelessly - Dolby Audio is great, especially on some types of music - Handy and effective equalizer - Excellent for running - Great battery life from what I can tell from testing; looks like 10+ hours on a single charge for the earbuds, plus recharging from the case - The app is value added - Two-year warranty! - The touch controls work fine - Great for sweaty days when in-ear earbuds keep sliding out! - Connectivity to two devices - Very happy with voice calls on these earphones - 2-year warranty! Thank you! Things I don’t like: - Since you have to press a button on the case, setup is not like other earphones, so instructions in the app should be clearer; it should offer basic instructions as soon as you open it. Instead, you must select “Get Help” and go through the steps. Maybe rename the “Get Help” button to “How to connect”. - Serial Number font is too small, while the rest of the card is blank! Use the space and make it easier to read for all your customers! - Ability to customize controls is too restricted. I want the ability to customize the left very differently than the right to match the controls of other earbuds and headphones, otherwise it’s too hard to remember controls. - Suboptimal to use in loud environments or noisy activities (for example, running on a treadmill, running in windy conditions, sitting on a plane, or walking through an airport) Overall, the Shokz OpenFit 2+ are exceptional: awesome for running (in non-overwhelmingly noisy places), extremely comfortable, long battery life, and amazing sound. I highly recommend these earphones if you want greater awareness of your surroundings with amazing sound and comfort.

These are by far the best ear pods in the market!!!! They do not go inside your ear so it never gets sore as it sits on the outside of your ear yet the sound delivery is still amazing!! You can exercise in these with no problem! Wish i had found these sooner. I highly recommend spending the $200 plus dollars for this pair!!!

Shokz OpenFit2+: My New Daily Driver

Okay, let’s be honest – I’ve been a pretty serious audio nerd for a while now, and I’ve spent a lot of time testing earbuds. Lately, I’ve been obsessed with finding the *perfect* listening experience, and the Shokz OpenFit2+ have quickly become one of my favorites. They’re not just earbuds, they’re a little piece of audio bliss. **Design & Comfort – Seriously, It Feels Good!** I’m a bit of a maximalist, so I appreciate a lot of detail, and these earbuds are seriously impressive. The OpenFit2+ are incredibly comfortable – I can wear them for hours without my ears feeling like they’re about to explode. The soft, rounded ear clip fit snugly without feeling tight, and the minimalist design is actually really stylish – it’s a refreshing change from some of the more bulky earbuds on the market. Seriously, I’ve been wearing these all day, and they feel fantastic. **Battery Life & Connectivity – Reliable and Easy** Battery life is a huge win for me. I can easily get through a full day of listening – 6-8 hours is plenty until they need to be charged. The case is a really clever design – it’s not just a box; it's a stylish and functional accessory. And the ability to charge the earbuds via the cable *and* wireless charging is brilliant. It’s a really thoughtful touch. The Bluetooth pairing is also incredibly smooth and quick. It took me less than a second to connect to my phone. **Sound Quality – It’s a Bit of a Warm Hug** Okay, this is where things get *really* good. The sound is just… great. The treble is incredibly clear and crisp, making music feel vibrant and full. The bass is rich and deep, but it doesn’t feel muddy or overpowering. It's a *really* balanced sound, and it’s genuinely enjoyable to listen to – even complex tracks. The EQ included in the smartphone app is very useful to adjust the sound to your liking. Note that these are not noise cancelling. **Potential Drawbacks – Things that could be better** Now, for the minor thing – the sound can get a *little* saturated at high volumes. It’s not a dealbreaker, but it’s something to be aware of if you’re listening to anything super bass-heavy. There are button on the earbuds which are a bit difficult to use while wearing them, but that's really just a minor flaw. **Price – It’s a Solid Investment** Honestly, the price is a bit on the higher side. But, for me, the combination of comfort, sound quality, and the convenience of the features makes these earbuds worth the splurge. **Overall Verdict – A Solid Recommendation** The Shokz OpenFit2+ earbuds are a fantastic choice if you’re looking for a good audio experience that’s comfortable, stylish, and delivers a truly enjoyable listening experience. They've become a go-to for me, and I’m genuinely excited to see where Shokz takes things.

One of the most comfortable workout headphones

PROS: * Comfort (these are truly the most comfortable, lightweight headphones that I've used) * Battery life (around 50 hours, give or take) * Water resistant * Capable app and EQ SO SO: * Sound can be better (but limited for the type of buds these are) * Price ($200 for one of the best workout buds you can buy) CONS: * I wish they had ANC for music, but again, it's hard for this type of around the ear buds that don't actually insert into your ear canal) I've been a devoted fan of earbuds for as long as I can remember, trying out virtually every pair on the market, from budget-friendly options to high-end models that appeal to audiophiles. Lately, I've been using the Noble Fokus Rex5 for my music needs. However, I recently encountered a few issues while running; they tend to slip out and risk hitting the ground. Luckily, I've managed to avoid scratching them so far, but it's been a close call. That's when I stumbled upon the Shokz OpenFit 2+. These arrived just in time! They fit securely over the ear and don't go into the ear canal, making them more comfortable than any other earbuds I've tried. Plus, they're incredibly lightweight—I hardly notice them. They deliver impressive sound quality while prioritizing comfort and safety, allowing me to fully enjoy my runs without any worries. I don't have any experience with Shokz's previous Openfit generation, but reviews for those criticize the sound. It's tough to expect them to sound the same as "in-ear buds", but even with that known, it seems that the previous generation lacked in the sound department. To my surprise, these sound great. I was very surprised by the sound, especially coming from the Nobles. Some may think Dolby Audio is a gimmick, but it isn't. If anything, its inclusion creates a clearer sound than you'd expect from these. The sound signature can be described as well-balanced with notable treble highlights. While the resolution of the treble may not be the highest quality, it makes these a good buy if you're looking at specifically comfort, fit, and use when working out. Additionally, the bass is surprisingly good. It won't knock your socks off, obviously. Generally, these types of workout earbuds have very weak or distorted bass. This one doesn't have either. It has clear bass output. The EQ modes are "standard," "vocal," "treble boost," "bass boost," or "customize." For the most part, when I'm working out, I listen to hip-hop, and therefore, I chose the "bass boost" as my go-to setting. For podcasts, I switch over to "vocal." I haven't tried many phone calls on them, but the time I did receive a call while on a run, I stopped and was able to talk for a few minutes without an issue. There is a "microphone noise cancellation during calls" feature, which isn't automatically turned on in the settings. If you plan to use these for calls, toggle that on when setting it up in the app. The app is both straightforward and effective in helping you customize it to suit your specific needs or preferences. You can easily adjust the EQ, personalize the controls, locate your earbuds, and upgrade the firmware. Everything is organized in a user-friendly and straightforward way. For at-home use or just relaxing, listening to your music, I wouldn't suggest these when there are several others out there that will sound better. Still, suppose you're looking for a place to work out specifically, whether that's cardio, gym, or outside walking. In that case, these are about as great as you're going to get at this price range. For $200, you get some comfortable earbuds that won't fall out, and you can "throw around a bit." These are IP-rated, so you don't have to worry about sweat, rain, or dust while working out. The battery is exceptional as well. In fact, after a few weeks of intermittent use, I've only had to charge them a few times. After more serious tracking, it will last around 50 hours! Obviously, that's more than enough for using every time you work out.

I wanted a pair of open earbuds to use while working outside and taking the dog for a walk, with the main concern being able to hear what was going on around me. I’ve used ambient mode for a lot of the ear buds, but they still leave a pressure in my ears that bother me after long durations. So, I wanted to give the open earbuds a try. I saw Shokz OpenFit2 was rated as one of the most comfortable open earbuds, so I decided to pick up the OpenFit2+ as they were just releasing. Pros: - Open Ear design. - Super Comfortable. - Great Audio Quality. - Crytal clear Calls. Cons: - Can feel loose if not properly fit. Setup: In the box, Shokz keeps it simple with just the earbuds, case, and a short USB-C to USB-C cable. Setup was just as simple, download the SHOKZ app from your app store, create an account, then off you go. You will want to follow the in-app instructions to put the earbuds on, the rotation to fit is very important to get a snug fit and proper sound. I found that if I just slipped on the earbuds, they would feel loose, and the sound was less than ideal. Rotating the earbuds onto the ears really made all the difference. Software: I like when apps are simple, less is more in the apps space. Shokz delivers with a very simple app that’s main purpose is to pair the earbuds, then enable additional settings. Honestly, I only had to open the app initially and to adjust the additional settings then that was it. One of the features to enable right away is the Dolby Audio, which greatly increases the sound quality. It helps fill out the audio to be fuller and vivid, even when just listening to podcasts or a meeting. There is the standard EQ Modes that you can adjust which is helpful if you have a specific type of audio that you listen to, but I found the standard to be very well rounded for multiple uses. The two other features I really liked were the MultiPoint Pairing, which allows you to connect to multiple devices at the same time, which is amazing if you want to be connected to your phone and laptop or another device. Paired with the Microphone Noise Cancellation During Calls, is a winning combination for those who travel or are on calls often. The Noise Cancellation was honestly better than most earbuds I’ve had at cutting out the background noise. Fit: As mentioned, there is a bit of a trick to getting the OpenFit2+ to fit snuggly. But once you get that down, I found the OpenFit2+ stayed in place regardless of how much I moved. I’d have to really try to shake them off to get any movement, which was perfect for outdoor use and walking the dog. But even better, was how comfortable the fit was. Unlike earbuds or over the ear headphones, there wasn’t the same pressure in or on the ear. These are crazy light on the ears, I’ve had them in for over 8 hours straight without any discomfort. Sound: The audio quality shocked me initially, as I wasn’t expecting it to sound so full and vibrant with the open ear design. But Shokz has proved to me with the OpenFit2+ that the open ear design can sound full and clear while providing the passive ambient benefit. Even the bass was booming. The only times I had any issue were when the surrounding environment was extremely loud, like on a busy street or with an emergency vehicle passing, would I have a hard time hearing the audio. But I expected that and wanted to be able to hear what was happening around me. Call Quality: The Call quality is great as well, as mentioned above, the microphone noise cancelling works perfectly to cut out even the loudest noises. The only impact to the microphone was a bit of muffling to your voice when the background noise was extremely loud. But even then, my caller would never hear the background noise! Just my voice, clear enough to understand. Battery Life: The battery life is great, I was easily getting a full 10+ hours of use time per charge. With the case, you can get more than 3 full charges on the earbuds, so on a full charge that was 40+ hours of play time. I found this to be roughly a weeks’ worth of use between charges, depending on your use. Better yet, was the quick charging provided roughly 2 hours of use with just a 10-minute charge up. Conclusion: If you want to be able to hear what’s happening around you, while listening to music comfortably all day, Shokz has the earbuds for you! The OpenFit2+ delivered shocking audio quality while providing all day comfort, with crystal clear calls. I’ve had these on since I got them, and don’t plan to take them off except to sleep or charge. I’ve got a new favorite active earbud.

When I saw that Shokz came out with a newer version of their Open Fit earbuds, I was excited to try them. The earbuds come in a box with a wireless charging case, two openfit earbuds, a charging cord and a user manual. I love that the case has wireless charging. It makes it so much easier to charge than having to hunt for a cord at night. I have the original version of the Open Fit earbuds and I wear them every day. My original pair is black and the new Open Fit 2 are Beige. The ear support piece is the same shape and size as the original model but the end is closed rather than open. The silicone also seems to be a little more flexible. This is great for behind my ears, with my glasses. It seems like there is less pressure but it does make them feel a little less stable than the original version. I love that I can hear everything going on around me but I can still be immersed in whatever I'm listening to. The Open Fit 2 earbuds give me the same great features as the original but with even better sound. There is a Shokz app that has an equalizer with preset sound options like Standard, Vocal, Bass Boost, Treble Boost and Customize. New to these earbuds are the option to use Dolby Atmos and all I have to say is wow! I have listened to music with Dolby Atmos before but the sound and quality of it with these earbuds was absolutely phenomenal. I felt like I was right there listening to the music. I had my husband listen and he was in awe as well. Just a side note, Dolby Atmos used to be available only with premium music services. Now I found that there was quite a bit of music on the Amazon Music App that was available in Dolby Atmos at no additional charge. The earbuds are controlled by pushing buttons on the top that are easily depressed. This is far superior to the virtual buttons on the original version. If my hair was wet and brushed by the buttons, it would activate them. I can listen with one earbud at a time, which is great for bedtime. I put one in my right ear (I lay on my left side) and set the sleep timer to whichever preset off amount of time I choose. They will shut down that amount of time. The Open Fit 2 has Multipoint pairing which means that you can connect it to two different devices at the same time. This is a really great feature. It is always a struggle for me to switch between connecting to my phone and connecting to my tablet. If I wanted to use the earbuds with my tablet, I had to go into the Bluetooth on my phone and disconnect them. Then I had to go into the tablet and get them to connect. Speaking of connecting, the earbuds are super easy to connect to any device initially and subsequent connections are seamless. So, Ive been using the Shokz Open Fit 2+ for about a week now and I have to say that they have become my go to "earphone" for everyday use for a couple of reasons. Firstly, they are very lightweight and comfortable. Initially I didn't really like the way they felt on my ears because I kept fidgeting with them and adjusting them because I am so used to have earbuds go into my ear and secure into place. These have the hook design that wraps around your ear and the "bud" just kind of hovers over your ear canal. My brain kept telling me that they are going to fall off, so I kept reaching to adjust them. After my second day of use, I started to trust that they won't fall and got used to them being in that position. Sooo the main reasons I've come to love these is because I tend to fall asleep with my earbuds in my ears. It's hard for me to fall asleep sometimes without some sort of ambient sound. I like to listen to soft music or a podcast while I doze off. My girlfriend is a light sleeper lol, so headphones are a must for me. Anyway.. I would always wake up and the earbuds had fallen out of my ear and then I'm scrambling to find them before I head out for the day. I have not had this issue with the Shokz Openfit. They stay securely in place even after tossing and turning all night. I was pretty impressed. I woke up and I could still hear the podcast going haha. I think I can assume that these will stay in place whether you are out jogging, walking, at the gym or use them to fall asleep. Secondly the sound quality is actually pretty good. These provide a different experience than typical "in ear" buds. So keep that in mind. You will not get the same bass response because there is no seal in your ear canal. That being said. The Shokz Openfit 2+ to me sound nice and balanced. I keep the dolby audio option on with the provided app. You'll lose "spatial" head tracking audio if you use an iPhone but that's ok. (at least in my experience). I don't see a setting in the app to keep it. I would say that the sound quality of these earbuds is excellent. Vocals are nice and clean. Mids and Treble are clean. Bass (while not head rattling) is still good and you you'll get a nice subtle thump from the bass. I tend to keep the volume at 25 ~ 40% and they are loud enough. Coincidentally, If you raise the volume over lets say 60% they just became quite trebly. Mids and Bass get blasted out. You'll have to turn off dolby audio or change the EQ preset in the app to get better sound quality at higher volumes. Honestly I wouldn't recommend taking these over 50% volume. They are loud, and will probably damage your ears over time if you listen to these too loud for extended periods. All in all, I really like these earphones. They have excellent sound quality. Battery life is great. They will be able to withstand a rain shower, sweaty workout. The charging pod is very cool and unobtrusive. You won't have to worry about earwax getting all over your buds. You won't have to worry about jamming germs or dirt into your ear canals. And most importantly you will be able to stay aware of your surroundings while listening to your favorite songs or audio. You gotta protect your hearing, and stay aware while out and about. If you are looking for a pair of wireless earphones, these should be on your short list. Check them out, they take a little adjusting to but I think in the end you will really enjoy using these. I do, I love them.
