I bought this to solve a specific problem. When traveling, I like listening to podcasts or recorded books. My wife prefers to read. The radio annoys her and I don't like wearing ear buds while driving. These hit the sweet spot. Many of the reviews I read were spot on. These are great if your primary listening content is vocal. If you to listen to music and want the full range of frequencies, earbuds are the way to go. If you are participating in an activity where you want to hear everything around you but would like to hear music in the background, these "might" be suitable for you. The volume can get loud. At max you will feel the temple piece vibrating. (This is a physical transfer of sound to your temple bones, not to your eardrums.) Since I do not care to listen to high volumes this is not an issue with me. Other reviewers are split on this. One thing to note is when it comes to volume, your hearing will give priority to the eardrums. This may be an issue if you are using these in a noisy environment. The headset has a built in microphone. It is not smartphone quality but is good for short conversations. I have had mine for almost a month now and find I use them more than I thought I would. The fit is comfortable and I forget I have them on. (They come in two sizes, normal and small.) The controls are three physical buttons (+, -, multi-function) and are conveniently laid out. The basic button functions are simple. The User Guide reveals a greater functionality for the buttons. The battery life states 8 hours. I have use these close to 7 hours at approx 3/4 volume a couple of times without issue. I have not tested the blue-tooth range but surprised myself when I walk out a warehouse and over to my car to grab some tools. I noticed the connection cutting off and my phone was about 20 ft away and inside the building. My one complaint is the charging connection is not any of the current standards. They do provide two charging cables. So if you lose one, you still have a backup. Just don't loose both. Would I recommend these. Last week I thought I lost mine on a site I was at. Was considering buying another set (they are not cheap.) Luckily I found them. Would be nice if the included a find me feature.

I bought a pair of apple airpods and these, returned airpods without opening them Very comfortable, for all day use. I can wear them mountain biking, sweating profusely, and with occasional crashes, and they stay on. Open bone conduction is great in terms of safety (when on road bike), and for my hearing impairment much better than noise cancelling earbuds If you need noise cancelling, just use the included soft foam earplugs. I can operate lawnmower, chainsaw, gas trimmer, and can hear the music and barely hear the machinery with earplugs Battery life: at least 3-4 hours of listening. I leave them on all day, and use them to take phone calls while riding Seem to be able to take heavy rain, sweat, so pretty water resistant. I just bought a second pair for my wife!!

Excellent wireless headphones with the added comfort of being light weight and above average sound quality. I purchased these AfterShokz 12 months ago for my Christmas present, primarily to use as a hands-free while driving and listening to music or pod casts, or while I workout, walk the dogs, biking, work around the house or anytime. At first I was skeptical of the design, but the comfort and functionality won me over. These will probably not win any awards (compared the the $250+ range headphones) for the most awesome sound quality and base, because if you listen with the volume on the headset too loud, it will vibrate your ears in an uncomfortable manner. This was expected, I bought these AfterShokz so that I could listen to ambient/noises around while enjoying music or phone calls. For this, they are perfect, and better than others I previously purchased. Sometimes I play with the volume on my phone and lower the volume on the headset to get it more comfortable. Sometimes ear buds that insert into my ears give me problems - like irritation in my ears, infections from sweating, vertigo, etc. I have worn my AfterShokz for 3+ hours at a time and they still feel comfortable. I have used many different type of ear buds, over the ear headphones (like Plantronics Backbeat FIT, Bose SoundSport, etc.), and I like these AfterShokz the most due to the comfort and sound combined with long battery life and simplistic design. I've never had an issue with these getting tangled with my COVID-19 mask or using the unique, magnetic charging cable. I highly recommend these to any outdoors enthusiast.

These OpenRun headphones are comfortable to wear and the sound quality is more than satisfactory. They are lightweight and stay put with no issues. I wear glasses and there is no issue while also wearing these. They don't seem to have a pairing memory and must be paired again each time I turn them on, but there have been no issues pairing them quickly with either a phone or Milo communicator.

I am absolutely thrilled with my Shokz OpenRun Bone Conduction Headphones! These headphones have completely transformed my running experience. First and foremost, the open-ear design is a game-changer. I can enjoy my music and stay aware of my surroundings while running, which adds a significant safety element. No more worries about traffic or other potential hazards. But it's not just safety; the sound quality is exceptional. The bone conduction technology delivers crisp and clear audio without the need for in-ear buds. It's like having a personal concert without blocking external sounds. Battery life is another area where these headphones shine. They seem to last forever. I can go for long runs without worrying about them running out of power. They're a reliable companion for extended workouts. In terms of durability, Shokz has hit the mark. These headphones are sweatproof and built to last, making them perfect for my active lifestyle. What's even more remarkable is that I had an older version of Shokz headphones for about 2 years and loved them. It was just time for an upgrade, and these OpenRun headphones have truly exceeded my expectations. Lastly, the comfortable fit is worth mentioning. They stay in place, even during intense workouts, and I sometimes forget I'm wearing them. Overall, the Shokz OpenRun Bone Conduction Open-Ear Endurance Headphones have exceeded my expectations. They're a must-have for any athlete or outdoor enthusiast. I couldn't be happier with this purchase!

These are amazing!! I've worn a variety of Bluetooth earpieces over the past 20+ years, and these tic all my boxes. The bone conduction technology is amazing and leaves your ears wide open to hear the world around you, which, for me is very important while working, and it doesn't consume battery life by using a hear-thru technology. The microphone is crisp, clear and discreet, bringing your voice forward of any background noise, and making you sound great at the other end of your call or conference. The multi-connect pairing for me is Paramount and a game changer!! There are dozens of really good, high quality earbuds, that I couldn't buy, because they don't have this technology! I don't understand why other manufacturers aren't doing this more! I'll mention other brands here, because I place the Aeropex in very good company!! My 7 year old Sennheiser earpiece does it very well, but it's large, heavy and on my ear. My 1 year old, Jabra earbuds do it okay, but not great, and they are in my ears. My new Aftershokz Aeropex do it seamlessly!! I use an iphone for work and my personal phone is an Android, and I need to be connected to both, and these do that for me flawlessly!! The very thin, over the ear loop type design makes these very comfortable to wear all day long, with glasses, face masks or anything else you might be using your ears for, including hearing as the transducer sits gently on your skin in front of your ears. Nothing on or in your ears!!! I use these for work as an AV Engineer during the day, and for play after work. Designed for athletics, they comfortably stay put, and provide safe, secure, spectacular sound and communications for anything you do!! I'm sorry this review is so long, but there's just so much good to say about this product!!! I highly recommend this product!!

Knowing what you are getting yourself into is important. I went to a local Best Buy and tried on a showroom model of the AfterShokz Aeropex. I was amazed by the sound considering the bass limitations of the bone conduction technology, but had previously heard that earplugs help. Indeed they do, and the Aeropex come with a pair of earplugs as well, but I don't use them most of the time. My decision to go with bone conduction headphones was due to the discomfort I experience when having earbuds in my ears for an extended period of time. My ears also get sweaty with over ear headphones when I wear them for an extended period of time. I wanted to also be able to hear conversations around me. These headphones are perfect for the gym, running, or wearing all day. I often forget I am wearing them, which would never happen with over ear headphones or earbuds. They stay in place very well (I have used them while exercising to great satisfaction) and are comfortable even while lying down. I have been surprised by the battery life, and the upgraded model is well worth the cost, as the battery will last longer with charge cycles 2 hours longer than the next lower model, the Titanium Air. The Aeropex are sturdy, handle sweat well, and utilize the latest Bluetooth technology, Bluetooth 5.0. This means my phone can stay connected to both the headphones and my car audio and switch back and forth seamlessly when I turn my car on and off without my need to manually intervene. So far I am very impressed, but my real satisfaction will come once I know how long before the battery can no longer take a charge (hopefully not for a very long time). Be prepared to shell out some additional cash for the accidental damage protection offered by Best Buy. The only reason I would go with over ear headphones is if I was an high fidelity enthusiast where the absolute best sound and noise cancelling technology was more important to me than versatility and comfort.

I purchased these as a upgrade from Aftershockz Air. I enjoy the sound quality but not much difference between the Air. It has a magnetic charging system that works quite well. Battery life is good and gets me through several days of activity on a single charge. Hearing what's around you as well as hearing your music is a perfect combination makes these headphones a safe bet. I do like the lightweight and the fit around your ears. The only problem I have had is the headphones turn off while listening to music from time to time. This can be very irritating while doing physical activity. Aftershockz states that resetting the headphones fixes the issue but its shut off a few times since. I will be contacting them shortly in hopes to resolve this issue.

I recently bought the Shokz OpenRun Bone Conduction Headphones, and I must say, they are an intriguing piece of audio technology. First and foremost, the comfort level of these headphones is exceptional, however if you wear them as often as I do, they can become uncomfortable. The lightweight design and the absence of earbuds or over-ear cups make them incredibly comfortable to wear. Plus, they stay in place during physical activities, making them ideal for sports or outdoor use. The sound quality is surprisingly good. While the audio doesn't match the depth and richness of traditional headphones, the bone conduction technology delivers clear and crisp sound. The open-ear design allows you to stay aware of your surroundings, which is a significant safety advantage, especially for outdoor activities. However, in noisy environments, the sound can be affected by external interference, slightly compromising the listening experience. The built-in microphone ensures clear call quality during phone conversations. Battery life is amazing. With a single charge, I was able to use them for 16 hours of continuous playback. The charging process is hassle-free thanks to the included USB cable, and the quick charging feature provides a decent amount of playback time with just a short charging session. One draw back is that the bass response is not as pronounced as that of traditional headphones, which might disappoint bass enthusiasts. Overall, the headphones offer an innovative and comfortable listening experience. They excel in terms of comfort, connectivity, and battery life. If you prioritize situational awareness, such as during outdoor activities or while working, these headphones are worth considering. However, if you crave deep bass and complete noise isolation, you may want to explore other options.

The sound of these headphones Is nice. I use them while out walking so I stay aware of my surroundings. Passing cars will be louder than the headphones but I think that is the point. The comfort is great. They are lightweight and will fit various head sizes even my large cranium. They also work great with people that wear glasses or people that don’t want headphones in or over there ears. They connect easily via Bluetooth and the included charging cable has magnetic connection to charge. They have a rubberized coating and are great for working out sweating rainy conditions.

The headphones are super comfortable and great for running or working out. I love that I can still hear what’s going on around me, and the battery lasts a long time. The sound is clear, though the bass isn’t very strong—but they’re perfect for staying safe and connected while on the move.

[Employee of bestbuy] As someone that spends their entire workday on the phone running a remote team these have been excellent. I wore many earbud styles and most recently the Bose open sport earbuds and other "headphones" as a phone headset for years. They began causing issues with ear infections that i never had before and have not had since going to the on ear style of one of the bose. However, Bose was uncomfortable for long periods due to pinching of upper ear. But was better than in ear. Software was very slow and clunky and often disconnected without notification. Looking for a simple alternative i tried the Shokz out and immediately they are more comfortable and the software has run flawlessly so far. Only con would be that volume can only go so high before its just annoying buzzing on your temples. I will mention that at first i did get low level phantom buzzing while not wearing them which was odd and concerning. But the occurrence has lessened substantially over time. All in all they have been excellent but for music i would still go with an over the ear model for sound quality like Seinheisers or the Bowers and Wilkins P50's or whatever is their current model. Battery life has been excellent. Design is comfortable but i don't love the need to always wear both and that they are connected. But they are comfortable enough that i forget about that quickly. Probably a bigger concern for those with longer hair as the connection is fairly rigid. So yeah, great for what they are!

The battery lasts quite a while compared to other wireless headphones. They are very comfortable to wear! The sound quality is decent, but the bass is somewhat lacking. Having not used other bone conduction headphones, I don't know if this is a limitation of the technology or if it's just this model. Otherwise, I love them and highly recommend them!

Love these Headphones! I hate using headphones that go in the ear, especially when I go running or work out. This sit perect outside and around my ear, sound quality is VERY GOOD, and also, the battery last a long time. HIGHLY recommend this, especially if you do not like putting earbud in your ear.

Bought these for my husband, he says the sound quality is great especially with ear plugs in at work. Extremely lightweight and comfortable. You can still hear everything around you making them safety compliant. Holds charge all day at work and when they do need charging they charge up fast. They may cost a little more but you are getting quality and comfort wearing them all.day, every day. Will only buy airshokz or none at all.

This set of headphones met all my requirements. Outstanding product!!! Chatted with BestBuy and the agent ask me what I was looking for in regards to headphones. I told her what I wanted . . . comfort, lightweight, easy connect with iPhone and sweat proof. She ask me to allow her to research and within a few minutes she found exactly what I wanted. Love them would recommend them without hesitation.

They are comfortable. I waer them every day all day. At work, at home, at the park and in the car. They dont get in the way and can hear what I'm listening to as well as what is going on around me. Whenusing the loud dryers at work, (I groom dogs) I put in ear plugs and keep listening. Works as well as safty noise reduction earphones! They stay put even when dealing with uncooperative dogs. Oh, and I like the dound of these headphones better than my car speakers. Really last 8 hours while listening and longer if connected to my phone, but not actively listening. Calls are clear on both ends.
