The film adaptation of the novel updated the time line from the 70s to current and maintained the excitement. The changes to the story are like those made to the Jason Bourne series. It kept the feel of the original.

Great movie. Good action and great plot. Not quite used to seeing Danny Glover play the bad guy, but he did and excellent job. Even the women I know that have seen this say it is a great thriller and keeps you on the edge of your seat.

If you're into the military film genre Shooter is a must see! Take Jason Bourne and combine him with American Sniper and you get Shooter. Why did I wait a decade to discover this? Very well written.

I always enjoy a movie where the little guy comes out on top. Mark Wahlberg nailed this role and I'd sure like to see him reprise it. Having an excellent supporting cast was a definite bonus. Don't forget the popcorn and soft drink. Enjoy

I didn't know much about this movie and it came recommended by a friend and since it was a great price I decided to bring it home....great movie, with great twists, and decent action without all the overblown special effects!

This movie involves political intrigue, corruption, betrayal some great chase scenes, lots of explosions, and a positive message. It is a well made movie with good characters with plenty of development.

Mark Wahlberg is really underrated in this role and so is the movie. It's a great movie for drama/action movie fans. I love it and watch it every time it comes on TV, so I just bought the Blu-Ray finally.

Today, when I think of Mark Wahlberg, I immediately think of the ted movies and just shake my head in disgust. However, he and his colleagues did a great job in creating this good story line with a few twists.

Gripping action throughout. Plot complicated enough to make you want to try to anticipate what is going to happen next. Body count very high. Some action aspects not possible, but then it is fiction. Enjoy!

Enjoyable, but hardly original story about a Military marksman who is living in seclusion after an operation that went wrong. Now he's approached by a government official for a special job. You just know it all going to go wrong. Great video quality and a rousing soundtrack when the action heats up..

SHOOTER is one of Mark Wahlberg's best roles as an ex sniper who gets pulled into a setup assassination attempt. If you like political intrigue, this movie is for you-- and suspenseful as well!

If you love Marky Mark, you'll like this movie. Yes, he kind of plays the same role in every movie (he's the good guy and kills all of the bad guys) but it's definitely action packed and a pretty good plot.

I watched this movie when it randomly came out some weekend a long time ago when I was in high school and loved it so I could not miss the chance to snag this puppy up when I saw it.

We purchased this movie on the sale rack at Bestbuy because my wife loves Mark Warburg. I was unsure about the movie but I was wrong. It had me interested from start to finish.
