I love this series!!! Watched the whole thing super fast!

Mark Wahlberg who starred in the movie Shooter and evidently got entranced in the sniper culture is the producer. It includes the input of Stephen Hunter who authored the book Point of Impact that all this is based on. Every show has glitches but this one has fewer than most. Good story and the new season has just begun so watching the first season episodes is a treat. Like the past series, The Unit, it combines the story of the operator with family and while I tire easily of "family at risk" plots they do it pretty realistically here. Next up is Six, which is also available at Best Buy and based on DEVGRU, or SEAL Team Six, which really, doesn't exist...

The plot has enough twists and turns to keep it interesting, the violence is not overly graphic and the language is not offensive. So if you like action-adventure with a fair amount of redemption and the righting of wrongs, you should enjoy Shooter. Each episode has been better than the one before and I am looking forward to the next.

Ryan Phillippe stars as Bob Lee Swagger, a highly-decorated veteran coaxed back into action after learning of a plot to kill the president. When Swagger's former commanding officer, Isaac Johnson (Omar Epps), solicits Swagger's expertise for the clandestine operation, Swagger discovers that he has been framed and must do everything in his power to protect his family and clear his name.

Produced by Mark Wahlberg, Shooter re-tells the story of his hit movie with new sagas for hero Bob Lee Swagger. Author of the Swagger books Stephen Hunter also has some involvement so the story is fast moving, entertaining and authentic for the most part to the world of shooters.

The Shooter Season 1 DVD may barely have any special features but the acting makes up for them. All the episodes leaves you at the edge of your seat. The cast is top notch!

Ryan Phillipe is one of my favorite actors, Can pour on the drama like nobodies business! Show was very well put together, and I hope for another season!

It actually made my son interested in math and shooting. Good balance of action and humor. Can't wait for the next season.

I like the movie a little better but that's mainly because mark Wahlberg is a superior action actor to Ryan Philippe. However the story is expanded a little more and each season is based on different bob lee swagger stories in the series.

The show is awesome the action is non stop and you will wanna continue to watch till the last episode

Wish they would have released in blu ray. Didn't release season 2 yet. But highly recommend.

The first season of Shooter was great. Can hardly wait for the second season to come out.
