Excellent retro-inspired action-platformer game. All the nostalgia of old NES games with all the shine and polish of current-gen games and a lot of charm. And fantastic music. Seriously, go get this game.

This is a fun and entertaining game with the styling of the classics. This is one of the only current gen games you will find that includes an actual manual. I've never heard of anybody not liking this game.

Great gameplay and is a throwback to the 1st generation Nintendo games. My 8-year-old son, who's like to play Halo and Call of Duty games, loves playing this game. All hail the Shovel Knight.

I've bought this game 3 times now. I have it for PS4, 3DS and now WiiU. Both the first 2 were digital. I love physical copies, even though lately most are just a disc in a box. This one however, knocked it out of the park. The Shovel Knight blue case comes with a free download of the soundtrack and a thick full color manual. Sure, they didn't NEED to include the manual, "no one reads them anymore." But this game is an 8-bit throwback masterpiece and the inclusion of a cool manual is just another awesome detail to this physical copy.
