I was watching my 8yr old play this game and it reminded me of times when I didn't want to unglue myself for bathroom , give up tv , or get food. My daughter just did the same to me . I was in background rooting her on to beat these hard levels. ill take quality over any just graphics game anytime .

Purchased for my son-in-law. He enjoyed the old school graphics and game play.

This game is a 2015 callback to the 90"s. Shovel night is like if u blended megaman, donkeykong country, mario with a midevil design. This game is all about timing and positioning its awesome to play a game that acts like a 90"s nes game but plays like a 2015 game.

Great game with a nostalgia feel! If you grew up with the sets Genesis era or Super Nintendo then you will love Shovel Knight! The music is great and gives a mix of castlevina and metriod with a dose of shovel! Great game and great price!

Shovel Knight is a breathe of fresh air in a cluttered gaming landscape. It is a throwback to the 16-bit gaming days of long ago. It is both fun and challenging. I was very surprised by the quality of the gaming experience.

Haven't played it much. But from what I played it takes me back to the SNES days. Great indie game. Very fun and challenging.

This game is extremely fun and addicting. I own the pc version but I wanted to be able to play it on my ps4 also, so I bought the hard copy at Best Buy. It is definitely a game worth trying out.

this reminds of Mario . if he got hit after he was big he shrinks and then dies if hit again but this one goes by life meter so it allows you to play more. Family fun and lots of levels.

Just a lot of fun, as a throwback to Mario Brothers, Castlevania, and other great side-scrolling games! You'll have so much fun playing this, either by yourself or with your kids!

A tribute to 8 bit platformers but for the modern age. Some new gamers may not like the art style or the difficulty, but for people who remember the "good old days" it's great

A traditional platformer combining elements of Megaman, Duck Tales, Metroid, Castlevania, and other classics for a game that is truly timeless. Great sound track as well!

Love this game, great nostalgia for the snes style plus its super fun

My son reports that he hasn't gotten very far in the game yet which is a good thing. There have been too many games he ha beaten the first day he has it. This one has kept his attention and he continues to enjoy playing it.

Old School game with old school graphics! A mix of Castlevania, Zelda and Ghost N Goblins for sure! Really like it! The only issue I had was the "save" progress feature didn't work for me last time! Hopefully a "glitch!"

This game is a throwback to older style platformers. Definitely recommend to anyone it's a very enjoyable game.

I love this game... Retro 8-bit game that has elements of Mega Man, Duck tales, & Mario 3. This is a love letter to classic game creation but does so without compromising the game play. Only down side is that the bosses are much easier than their levels, but otherwise a masterpiece.

This game is one of my favorites! Its such an original, yet familiar game. The idea is original but the gameplay is that of a lot of retro 8 and 16 bit games I grew up with! If you like retro Sega Genesis, NES & SNES games then you'll feel right at home with this future classic!

I love this game. For those who likes 2d side scroller style games. This one is a must buy!
