Great choice if the Shure SM7B is out of your budget! It doesn't require a DAC, though it will definitely make it sound even nicer. Either way, it sounds incredible, and it looks very sleek. I did some vocal (singing) recordings with it and was extremely happy with the results.

Great microphne for voals. I use it for my chat microphone on my computer. The quailty is amazing and works super easy with the usb cable. The mic also has XLR so you can connect to that interface.

This microphone went beyond my expectations because it also records great singing vocals and I haven’t even tried using the LXR cable yet. The USB works perfectly. The app is very easy to use as well.

An absolute must have for streamers for want a decent microphone but can't afford the higher priced model. This one works great! I upgraded to this from my HyperX Quadcast. The jump in audio quality was incredible! Worth the money!

Very very very good mic, i was useing other mics and it would pick up the sound of everyything, but this mic only pics up your voice and other peoples voice and will block out most background noises. You can get the cheaper version of this mic without the usb but after u buy a mixer and adpaters to hook it up to a pc you may be spending the same amount so i highly recommend this mic to anyone thats just wanting to plug and play, and you should download their software just to set it up properly and after one time you will probably never open the software again.

I used a blue yeti for 6 years, and it is a solid intro mic. However, the shure is better at the one thing i could not figure out with the yeti without using noisegate, cutting out background noise! You hear very minimal, and you can hardly hear me pressing buttons or clicking a mouse. Whereass before it sounded like i had my controller right next to the mic it was so loud. I have yet to use a mic cable with it, as it is currently in transit. But if its this good with the usb on default settings, i can only imagine how much better it will be when the cable comes in. I also sound like someone on the radio with this mic compared to how i sounded with the yeti. It is pricey, but so worth it if you are a serious streamer and/or podcaster!

I have been through a handful of different usb based microphones...this is BY FAR blows away the competition!!! Out of the box and after downloading the easy software turning up the gain a bit it has blown me away. Giving my live streams a sound unlike any other I have run across. Def worth the buy and then some!!

Easy to set up, sounds great for streaming and discord calls. Having both XLR and USB connections make this very flexible if I need to switch PCs quickly.

If you're wanting to avoid the XLR/mixer setup, this is the best choice. The sound quality is comparable and the software is intuitive and easy to use.

Best Mic I've purchased to date. Audio quality is amazing, crisp and clear. Connecting to PC was easy, all I had to do was connect the supplied cable to a USB-C Port on my PC and it was detected immediately. An App is available to tweak settings to your liking, and it's really as simple as it can get. You can connect your headset directly to it, mic monitoring is amazing and instant. Quality product

Shure is the gold standard for podcasting for a while now, i was looking at the SM7B, but the thought of getting a DAC to connect through XLR seems a bit too much. After some research the microphone quality of the MV7 is very close to the SM7B and the flexibility of connecting via USB or XLR makes it an easy choise. You do need to purchase a separate mic arm.
