Customer Ratings & Reviews

Pros: Incredible noise rejection, easy USB-C and XLR setup, customizable RGB touch bar, professional broadcast sound. Cons: Software can take a minute to master (but it’s powerful). Review: I’ve been using the Shure MV7+ for my setup, and it is a massive upgrade. The biggest win for me is how well it rejects background noise—it keeps the focus entirely on my voice even if there is room noise. The new LED touch bar is a great addition; it looks awesome on camera and the "tap-to-mute" is super responsive and convenient. I love that it has both USB-C and XLR outputs, so I can use it directly with my PC now and move to a pro interface later if I want. The sound quality is warm and professional right out of the box, and the Auto Level Mode in the software is a lifesaver for keeping my audio consistent. If you want that "radio voice" quality for your stream or recordings, this is the mic to get. I would recommend this to a friend.

As someone who wanted to jump into podcasting without feeling overwhelmed by tech, the Shure MV7+ Podcast Kit has been an absolute game-changer. From the first unboxing to my latest recording, this kit feels thoughtfully designed to enhance creativity, not complicate it. What Makes It Stand Out? • Voice-Focused Design: The MV7’s tone-capturing ability feels like it was built to amplify authenticity. Whether I’m recording solo thoughts or guest conversations, it captures the nuances of my voice that cheaper mics tend to flatten or miss entirely. • Comfortable Setup for Long Sessions: The included boom arm isn’t just sturdy—it’s smooth and easy to reposition quietly. If you’ve ever struggled with clunky stands that pick up every adjustment noise, this is a pleasant surprise. • Seamless USB + XLR Integration: I’ve already used the USB mode for quick recordings, but knowing I can switch to XLR gives me the freedom to grow my setup over time. It feels like this mic evolves with me. • Silent Performer: This mic filters out background hums better than I expected. Recording in a home office with kids in the next room, the noise isolation is impressive without any heavy post-editing. What I Didn’t Expect: • Connection with the MOTIV App: I was skeptical about needing an app at first, but the ShurePlus MOTIV software has become a quiet hero in my workflow. With the Auto Level feature, I can focus more on content rather than obsessing over gain adjustments—especially when I’m in the flow of recording. • Surprising Portability: While it looks and feels like a studio mic, it’s surprisingly easy to disassemble and take on the go. Whether I’m traveling or working on-location, this kit travels light without compromising quality. The Shure MV7+ Podcast Kit isn’t just equipment—it’s a creative companion. If you’re someone who wants gear that stays out of your way while helping you sound your best, this kit delivers. Every recording session feels more like a conversation and less like a technical chore, which is exactly what I was hoping for.

This is the best microphone I've ever used. It captures your voice very well and filters out background noise in a way that all the digital filtering effects I've downloaded on software like Audacity can't replicate. Also, I have 2 air conditioners in 2 different rooms of my house that I forgot to turn off during my first sound test and didn't even realize in the moment that I didn't turn them off because it filtered it out automatically for me. It handles clipping well too (tested this by clapping loud, laughing loud and screaming). Also the LED mute feature is super cool. No complaints thus far and I'll definitely be buying this as a gift for a friend of mine looking into mics in the future.

The Shure MV7+C/XLR Dynamic Podcast Microphone was a game changer for me. Why? While you can plug this XLR Microphone into a phantom mixing board, the real value in this microphone is that it is a USB-C Microphone allowing you to plug it directly into an M2, M3, or M4 MacBook Air or MacBook Pro and the power comes directly from the Mac! Next? You can plug a Headset into the Shure Microphone directly on the bottom and YOU can hear it directly exactly how you sound. How does the Shure Microphone sound? It sounds fantastic like you are in a big radio recording studio. So yeah, if you want a real plug and play solution, this is the microphone for you.* *The MOTIV Software has a little bit of a learning curve and even if you don't use the included, the microphone still works flawlessly.

I’ve been using the Shure MV7+ for a bit now, and honestly it’s been a huge upgrade for my setup. The audio quality is super clean and professional—definitely that “podcast/radio voice” sound right out of the box. It does a great job rejecting background noise too, which is perfect for recording in a regular room without full soundproofing. What I really like is how versatile it is. You can use both USB and XLR, so it works whether you’re just starting out or planning to upgrade your setup later. The touch controls are smooth and easy to use, and the Shure app gives you a lot of control if you want to fine-tune your sound. Compared to other mics I’ve tried, this one just feels solid and reliable. It looks clean on camera, sounds amazing, and doesn’t require a ton of extra gear to get great results. Overall, if you’re creating content, streaming, or recording vocals, the MV7+ is 100% worth it. Easily one of the best mics in its price range.

Upgraded from the Shure MV6. There was a noticeable difference in quality, both physical design and sound quality. Highly recommend to anyone who cares about quality microphones and wants the added bonus of type C plug and play on top of the XLR option.

This microphone is much better than the previous one I was using for my voice cover work. It has both micro usb and XLR inputs to fit whatever you may need. The sound is crisp and blocks out most background noise with it's pop filter (depending on your setup). I couldn't recommend Shure microphones enough as I've waited to years to get this one and it did not disappoint with what I need it for. 10/10.

Great mic easy to use beginner friendly & is a great alternative to the more expensive models from Shure. USB-C connection as well as XLR so whether you’re creating content for podcasting or making music this mic can handle the task. I also like the mute feature as well as the light indicator on the mic. You wont regret this purchase

My first mic ever for streaming and I’m happy i invested in such a great portable mic! Sounds great & you can easily connect it to your phone/laptop

This thing is AWESOME!! Totally eliminated my issue of having my AC in the feed. Sounds so good!

I loooove this microphone. I was trying to be cheap before and purchased several of the low-price end ones, but the sound on here is unbeatable. The fact that it has both USB-C and XLR connections is the bomb.

Fantastic microphone that does it all. Great usb connectivity quality and has xlr which makes this microphone work in any situation! Highly recommend this microphone if starting out!

Best mic i have used! It sounds really good and i give it 5 stars in quality and sound!

All around for PC gaming and Zoom calls which is my use case. Not much else I can say.

Excellent microphone, really good if you’re a podcast person or those content creator. Gave it to my wife as a gift and she loves it .

Its a good mic, doesnt need an EQ, this mic is meant to capture your raw voice. I love it this version because it comes with a built-in mute button like the quadcast which this is replacing.

I do not do podcasts, casual gaming. In conference meetings are my primary. Use cases, and this is overkill, but I absolutely love it. I may start recording a little bit. The software is very intuitive and the default settings work for most things I do.

Great mic, stepped up my game in the content creating world. Easily connects to a J5 Create dual moniter dongle then into my 2024 Mac mini.

For years, I put off buying a "real" microphone, thinking my gaming headset or a cheap USB mic was "good enough." The Shure MV7+ has shown me how wrong I was. This microphone hasn't just met my expectations—it has completely redefined them. The Sound Quality is Simply Astonishing: From the first time I recorded my voice, I was stunned. The clarity, warmth, and richness it captures is in a different league. Whether I'm on a video call, recording a podcast, or streaming, everyone notices the difference. Comments like "You sound so professional" and "What mic are you using?!" are now the norm. It excels at making your voice sound full and natural while intelligently minimizing background noise. The presets in the Shure MOTIV app are genius and make pro-level sound achievable in seconds. The Perfect Hybrid Design is a Game-Changer: The true magic of the MV7+ is its flawless dual USB/XLR output. I started with the simple USB plug-and-play, which was incredibly easy and sounded phenomenal. As I grew, I upgraded my setup and seamlessly switched to using the XLR output with an audio interface for even more control. This microphone truly grows with you, making it a future-proof investment. Built Like a Tank with Smart Features: The all-metal construction feels incredibly durable and premium. The built-in headphone jack for zero-latency monitoring is essential, and the touch-panel controls for mute, volume, and blend are intuitive and responsive. It just feels like a professional tool. Would I Buy It Again? Without a moment's hesitation. The Shure MV7+ eliminates all the guesswork. It delivers broadcast-quality audio right out of the box for beginners, yet offers the depth and flexibility to satisfy seasoned creators. It is, without a doubt, the last microphone I will ever need to buy. If you're serious about sounding your best, stop researching. This is the one. It's worth every single penny and earns every one of these 5 stars. An absolute masterpiece of audio engineering.

The mic and stand is sturdy. Having a usb c option really useful! Sound mixer app works well after reviewing YouTube apps on how to use it. Only downside was the packaging was so tight I had to rip it to get it off the box.
