    Sound is Great....

The sound is great on these earbuds, but I do have a few issues... First it is like a jigsaw puzzle to put them in your ears LOL! They don't go in your ear like a normal earbud. It takes me a while to figure it out every time I put them in, and I don't like having to put the cord up and over my ear. Its kinda weird. But once in, they are comfortable. I use them a lot when I go to sleep. Since they fit in the ear so well, that means my ear isn't in a ton of pain in the morning because I sleep on my side. But I do find they fall out every so often. I do have to readjust here and there when I wear them during the day. Also the cord is very long, it would be helpful to have a clip of some sort to attach to your clothes to help keep it comfortable. I actually think the cord is too long, so I have to wrap some around my device which is a bit uncomfortable then in the pocket. Another issue I had was when I first opened them I could not get the changeable tips off for the life of me. I spent a half an hour trying to do it and I ended up calling Shure. They said it was an issue with a lot of them and said I could send the back to them for another pair to try. I wasn't interested in that so I played with them for another hour and I finally was able to break the glue or whatever and get the tips off. Other than that so far so good. I had the Bose earbuds before and they really annoyed me in that the plastic on the cord wore off, broke, etc to where I had exposed copper. So I didn't want to go down that road again. I am happy with the Shure over the Bose so far!

I have always owned Shures and swear by them! They just get better and better. The bass and overall sound on these are excellent. They are worth every penny and I have no idea why they stopped carrying them in stores. I use these to workout and everything else, they never hurt and always stay in. I can't imagine a better product. Give them a try and I don't think you will be disappointed. PS I can't imagine the Bose being any better than these. I have other Bose products, but these are the answer for in ear headphones.

    A $99 earbud shouldn't sound this good!

I returned beats by dre tour (for many reasons) and purchased Shure SE-215 for 50 dollars less and now I'm happy. The Shure earbuds fit better than I could ever imagine and isolate almost 40 db. I'm so amazed at the range these low line earbuds have. I can't even imagine what their higher lines sound like because I didn't know an earbud could sound this good. These were very confusing to figure out how to wear them since I've never seen a design like this but it shure works! On the down side, the wires are a bit thick( to prevent breakage, even though you can replace it thanks to detachable buds) and the case is as simple and frill-less as the packaging but who care when they sound so freakin' good!

Little background, i started off with regular ipod buds, got skullcandies thought they were good, bought some sony buds they were better, purchased the klipsch image s4s the best ive had till a week ago my kitten chewed through the cord so i bought these after reading the great reviews Lets just say these are far superior than my previous headphones, they fit great for working out, they block out all noise, everything sounds so clean and clear with these. I listen to house and i love hearing the heavy bass with the clean mids and highs its like im able to distinuish every different sound in my music and i love it. I would highly recommend then and the cord is very durable much more than my previous ones. My buddy has the bose buds and these personally blow those away and now my buddy is pretty butthurt that he brought them just cause of the price and name. I love these headphones<3

    Another good product from Shure

I've been using Shure in-ear headphones for years, since the e2c model back in 2006 and, while some of their designs take some getting used to in terms of fit, they are, for my money, the best balance of sound quality, duribility, and price. I've tried other in-ear headphones from Altec Lansing, Bose, and Klipsh and find that the Shures just sound better to my ear. My only complaint in the past and the thing that made me hesitant to buy Shure again was that on my e2c's and SE 215s I had to have them replaced in warranty for dying cables within the first year and the replacement set would always fail just after the expiration of the warranty. With the replaceable cables at the headphone itself, the issues that I've had with the Shure product in the past have been resolved. Solid product.

    Best ear buds

I got a pair of these as a gift about 4 or 5 years ago and used them constantly. When they finally gave out, I tried a few different kinds, but wasn't satisfied. Decided to get these again, and I'm only sorry I didn't buy them first. I like how they sit over my ear. All other earbuds seem to fall out, but these have the soft foam earbuds that act like ear plugs and stay in. The sound quality is amazing, and when I'm listening to music, all other sounds are blocked out (much to my wife's dismay). I highly recommend these for all types of listening environments: the house, out on the street, and even on an airplane.

    Way better than Bose

I previously started out with the Adidas earbuds, but the fit was terrible. So I upgraded to the Bose because of their reputation, and was highly disappointed in the fit and comfort. Because the fit wasn't great I heard alot of back ground noise when I ran outside and the bass just sucked. The Sure's are just awesome. They fit right into your ears to block out the wind noise and are just awesome. Highly recommend them

Fantastic headphones! The SE 215's are the budget model of Shures line. I have owned Bose and Beats headphones, These are much better. No distortion at high volume. Sound isolation is great; the foam ear buds are great. Shure is a brand honored by audiophiles, don't overlook their strange design, they are an exceptional product of top quality construction

    Disappointed Long Time Shure Customer

    Posted .

I have had the Shure for 8 years or so. Became a fan since my E2C then the SE 115, followed by SE 210s. I finally wore out the SE 210s. Saw these SE 215 and was surprised at the low price. Ordered this pair and man was disappointed since I saw the box. Cons: 1) Cheap Cord. No Longer have a the detachable extension. Its one long cord. 2) Hudge jack. Making it almost useless if you have a case on your iPhone. this thing is so darn fat and I don't understand why. 3# Old series had a cord problem that after long use cord would crack and since they had a 2 year warranty they end up replacing alot of them just because of the cords. THE FIX: Detachable cord. It is a great idea but then why include such a cheap cord. Why not offer the same old style with detachable extension and comfortable fit. 4# THE Thickening in the cord for the part that loops around the ear. It is rigid. You try to put this in your ear and wrap the cord behind your eat and it’s a two man operation requiring a mirror. The cord is thick, doesn’t flex easily and you keep pushing and wrapping it around your ear and it just springs back a little. So you have this ANNOYING CONSTANT LITTLE FEELING of something pocking out behind your ear the whole time. 5) Sound is really bad. Music sounds like loud spoken words. Where did the rest of it go??? I guess if you like spoken words or audiobooks this would be perfect. Range is really poor. Pros: Compared to what I was used to getting from my SHURE Earphones before; NOTHING. I am going to give it 2 or 3 more days. See maybe if I get used to it. BUT most likely will return them and stop buying SHURE. Very sad about this. =#

I didn't like these at all!

Contrary to the reviews I read, I purchased these after I left my Dr. Dre's tour earbuds on an aircraft. I was sick but I didn't really want to invest that much again so I purchased these. They came in a case which I did like but beyond that. I was NOT impressed. I didn't like the way they mounted into my iPhone/iPad. The cord is cheap and stiff and the sound is pitiful. I didn't like the way they fit into or around my ear. No bass at all in my opinion. So? I returned them and bought another pair of Dr. Dre's. I'm glad you have a great return policy.
