This Blu-Ray edition simply offers the movie in better clarity than DVD. That is the only advantage of this over the DVD Special Edition release, which was loaded with behind-the-scenes bits. I know a lot of people don't bother with home video disc extra features, and I usually only watch those once, but this does not even have a menu or chapters. Most Mill Creek Direct produced discs are cheaply produced, without proper menus and with poor packaging. Still, if this is priced really low and you want to watch the movie with better clarity, it serves that purpose.

The movie is great but the packaging was awful. The unit I received was opened and the case wasn't in the best shape. The disc had some marks on it but it played fine.

This is one of those movies that requiers multiple viewings. So many small details that make this film a pleasure to watch and one of Martins Scorses's most underrated movies.

Leonardo DiCaprio is outstanding. I found the story very mysterious and thrilling. Blu Ray quality is excellent!

An under rated Scorsese gem. Tight script, great photography. Great performances by all the actors, especially Ben Kingsley. Worth the $5 usual price and the !.99 black friday price.

I always caught this movie on TV somewhere in the middle. Never understood the whole plot till I watched from beginning to end. Definitely worth the watch

Di Caprio is the best. Scorsese delivers over and over through out and shows why he's the best director ever.

Shutter Island doesn’t add anything new to the thriller genre but it’s performances and well thought out plot makes it a great watch.
